실시간 철도안전 관제를 위한 데이터 처리 방안 연구 (Data Processing Method for Real-time Safety Supervision System in Railway)

  • 실시간 철도안전 관제시스템은 철도시스템을 구성하는 열차, 신호, 전력 및 설비 등으로 분산되어 감시되던 시스템의 안전관련 데이터를 통합하여 안전감시 효율을 향상시키고 사고를 예방하는 것이 목적으로, 기존 개별 감시 시스템과 달리 데이터의 대용량 처리와 실시간 처리 성능을 동시에 요구하고 있다. 기존 관제시스템에서 주로 활용되는 디스크 기반 데이터베이스는 실시간 및 빅 데이터 처리기능이 없고, 최근 도입되는 메모리 기반 데이터베이스는 빅데이터 처리기능이 없으며, 시계열 데이터베이스는 실시간 처리 기능이 없다. 이에 따라, 실시간 안전관제에서 요구되는 빅 데이터 처리와 실시간 처리를 동시에 제공하는 새로운 솔루션이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 기존 관제의 데이터 처리 사례를 분석하고, 빅 데이터 처리와 실시간 처리를 동시에 제공하는 새로운 데이터 처리 방안을 제안하였으며, 이를 검증하였다.

A Study on the Cause Analysis of Human Error Accidents by Railway Job

  • Purpose: This study investigates human error accidents in the Korean railway sector, emphasizing the need for systematic management to prevent such incidents, which can have fatal consequences, especially in driving-related jobs. Research design, data and methodology: This paper analyzed data from the Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, examining 240 human error accidents that occurred over the last five years (2018-2022). The analysis focused on accidents in the driving, facility, electric, and control fields. Results: The findings indicate that the majority of human error accidents stem from negligence in confirmation checks, issues with work methods, and oversight in facility maintenance. In the driving field, errors such as signal check neglect and braking failures are prevalent, while in the facility and electric fields, the main issues are maintenance delays and neglect of safety measures. Conclusions: The paper concludes that human error accidents are complex and multifaceted, often resulting from a high workload on engineers and systemic issues within the railway system. Future research should delve into the causal relationships of these accidents and develop targeted prevention strategies through improved work processes, education, and training.

  • This paper presents general concept of DC switch gear(DCSWGR). Normally, DCSWGR consist of Digital protection unit(DPU), High Speed Circuit Breaker(HSCB), Disconnect Switch (DS), Programmable Logic Control(PLC), Auxiliary Relays and etc. Most of the components has its special characteristics and their interface between each others are various and complex. In this paper every constituent general design are preceded and interface between each component are examined. And also DCSWGR operation logic with logical diagram including interlock signal are introduced.

  • There have been lots of researches for High Performance Digital Signal Processing performance enhancement on a GPU(Graphic Processor Unit). These kinds of parallelizing can enable massive signal processing, so we can have advantage's of processing various of signal processing standards with GPU. In this paper we introduce Low Density Parity Check(LDPC) which is one of the Foward Error Correction(FEC). And we have achieved computational time reduce by using CUDA as a parallelizing scheme.

  • When the high speed train (KTX) departs from station in the high-speed line, sometimes on board signal disappears, which causes a hindrance of the operation punctuality, therefore, we have a research objective to verify the causes of hindrance and to find an improvement plan. In the process of research, when train left, we applied sand on the rail to improve adhesive power, whose sand has an effect on the ATC(Automatic Train Control) signal wave. We detected & analyzed signal waves which came from detecting device by changing operation condition in accordance with sand material

  • Recently Domestic EMU's on board signal systems are gradually changed form Cab signal(Fix Block) to Distance-to-go. Interfaces with on board signal system, TCMS Redundancy structure is mainly required. This paper suggest Manaul/Automatic Driving based on TCMS-ATC interface and design of backup system which is operated by Stan-by Computer when one of it's Local Interface Unit(LIU) is out of oder. For the purpose of Precision Train Stop, Distance-to-go signal system require accuracy speed. Free-axle structure is required for this system This paper suggest Free-axle braking system that lack of brake-force is compensated by the distributed brake-force using TCMS. And one of braking system has out of order, compensation of brake-force for Free-axle system. Then we prove our design to Complete Car Test

  • Recently, various types of trains are being operated in the same railroad whose designated stop stations are not the same. In other words, each train does not stop at every station. This could cause the pass-through accidents in which a train passes a station where it is supposed to stop. Although the number of train accidents is on the decrease, this type of error is still an important problem to be resolved. It is true that the burdens of train drivers are growing because the number of high speed trains and non-stop stations is increasing in the current railway system. However, another major reason for this accident is that there is no prevention system for these errors in the current train control system although it is being constantly improved. The purpose of this study is to reinforce the train stop system with wireless communication equipment in order to decrease this type of accident and to maximize the safety of railway transportation.

  • According to speed elevation of internal railroad, Seoul-Busan high-speed railway was opened up. Setting hereupon speed elevation of old line propel. Therefore, research and development about Tilting train are propel by one of method that do not need huge investment such as earthwork serving speed elevation of general railroad. Studied about car report lake this treatise applies in Tilting train's signal control.

  • In this paper, we propose an expert system for electronic interlocking which enhances the safty, efficiency and expanability of the existing system by designing real-time interlocking control based on the interlocking table automatically generated using artificial intelligence approach. The expert system consists of two parts; an interlocking table generation part and a real-time interlocking control part. The former generates automatically the interlocking relationship of all possible routes by searching dynamically the station topology which is obtained from station database. On the other hand, the latter controls the status of station facilities in real-time by applying the generated interlocking relationship to the signal facilities such as signal devices, points, track circuits for a given route. The expert system is implemented in C language which is suitable to implement the interlocking table generation part using the dynamic memory allocation technique. Finally, the effectiveness of the expert system is proved by simulating for the typical station model.

  • In this paper, we develope a protocol verification tool that verifies the correctness of rail signal control protocol type 2 specified in LTS(Labeled Transition System) by using model checking method. This tool automatically checks several properties for deadlock, livelock and reachability of states and actions on LTS. and removes many errors and ambiguities of an informal method used in the past, so saves down expenditures and times required in the protocol development. Therefore it is expected that there will be an increase in safety, reliability and efficiency in terms of the maintenance of the signaling system by using the developed verification tool.
