LTE-R 네트워크에서 비디오 트래픽의 전송 성능 (Transmission Performance of Video Traffic on LTE-R Networks)

  • LTE-R(Long Term Evolution-Railway)은 LTE 기술을 기반으로 한 철도통신의 표준으로 고속철도의 핵심 통신기술로 사용될 것으로 전망된다. 본 논문에서는 LTE-R 네트워크에서 응용트래픽으로서 비디오 트래픽의 전송성능을 분석해 본다. 성능분석은 NS-2를 기반으로 한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 사용하여 수행하며, 비디오 트래픽으로는 공개 영상 트래픽을 사용하며, 전송 프로토콜로는 RTP(Real Time Traffic)을 사용한다. 본 논문의 결과와 방법은 LTE-R 네트워크의 연구 및 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • This paper designed the railway vehicle running device with a proto-type for the railway vehicle maintenance training and developed a propulsion control device simulator equipped the imitation steering wheel. In addition, this paper applied a multi-thread technology in order to implement the staged fault and the propulsion control device protected operation test and an implementation of the failure that occur in actual rail vehicle and confirm the validity as the propulsion control device simulator for the maintenance training.

  • 무선통신기반 열차제어시스템의 국내 도입을 앞두고 철도전용 주파수 할당에 대한 사항이 활발히 논의되고 있다. 공공자원으로서 큰 가치를 지닌 주파수를 적절한 용도에 알맞은 양을 할당하는 것은 다른 분야와의 형평성과 한정된 자원의 유용한 사용 측면에 있어서도 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 무선통신기반 열차제어시스템에서 기존에 논의되던 서비스들을 LTE 기반의 철도통신망에 적용했을 때 안정적인 운용이 가능한지에 대하여 시뮬레이션을 통하여 알아보았다.

Application of dithering control for the railway wheel squealing noise mitigation

  • A new methodology for mitigation of the wheel squealing is proposed and investigated based on the dithering control. The idea can be applied in railway lines particularly in urban areas. The idea is clearly presented, and applied to a validated model. A full-scale model including the vehicle, curved track and wheel/rail contact is developed in the time domain to analyze the possibility and level of wheel squeal noise. Comparing the numerical results with a field test, the model is validated in different levels namely i) occurrence, ii) squealing frequency and iii) noise level. Two different approaches are proposed a) dithering of the wheel with piezoelectric patches and b) dithering of the rail with piezoelectric stacks. The noise level as well as the wheel responses is compared after applying the control strategy. A parametric study is carried out and effect of the dithering voltage and frequency on the squealing noise is investigated. It is found that both the strategies perform quite effectively within the saturating threshold of piezoelectric actuators.

  • This paper presents the feasibility for improving the ride quality of railway vehicle equipped with semi-active suspension system using magnetorheological(MR) fluid damper. In order to achieve this goal, a fifteen degree of freedom of railway vehicle model, which includes a car body, bogie frame and wheel-set is proposed to represent lateral, yaw and roll motions. The MR damper system is incorporated with the governing equation of motion of the railway vehicle which includes secondary suspension. To illustrate the effectiveness of the controlled MR dampers on railway vehicle secondary suspension system, the sky-hook control law using the velocity feedback is adopted. Computer simulation for performance evaluation is performed using Matlab. Various control performances are demonstrated under external excitation which is the creep force between wheel and rail.

국제표준 기반 열차제어시스템 소프트웨어의 정적 테스팅 지원도구의 개발 (Development of Static Testing Tool Related Int'l Standard for Railway Signaling Software)

  • Recent advances in computer technology have brought more dependence on software to train control systems. Hence, the safety assurance of the vital software running on the railway system is very critical task and yet, not many works have been done. While much efforts have been reported to improve electronic hardware's safety, not so much systematic approaches to evaluate software's safety, especially for the vital software running on board train controllers. In this paper, we have developed the static software testing tool for railway signaling, especially Fagan Inspection module and checklists supporting module. This static testing tool for railway signaling can be utilized at the assessment phase, and also usefully at the software development stage also. It is anticipated that it will be greatly helpful for the evaluation on the software for railway signalling system.

  • Many function of railway signalling system which is in charge of most core function in a railway system are being operated by the software according to the development of computer technology. Accordingly, the source code testing to verify the safety of the railway signalling system software becomes to be more important, and related international standards highly recommend verifications on the source code also. For this reason, several related studies on vital source code verification were executed from several years ago in Korea. This paper performed tests through the application to railway signalling system being applied to the existing actual domestic railway sites through automated testing tools for coding rules of signalling system software and another signaling system software under development in Korea recently, and analyzed their results.

  • When any faults occurred in electrical railway system, operators need to analysis it quickly and accurately. Existing COMTRADE based analysis tools are not enough to analysis faults occurred in electrical railway system. In this paper, it presents some functions to fault analysis for electrical railway system based on fault data formatted COMTRADE. These functions are implemented in PSCAD/EMTDC and it can be shown that analyzed results against actual electrical fault cases which were occurred in the electrical railway power system.

  • 최근 들어 다양한 이동 수단의 발전과 함께 철도 또한 많은 발전을 이루었다. 이렇게 발전된 철도 시스템과 더불어 정확한 철도 시스템 정보 전달을 위한 효율적인 통신시스템이 요구되었고, 이에 따라 철도 통신 시스템 또한 다양한 방식으로 발전했다. 철도 무선통신에서 페이딩의 영향을 최소화 하고 보다 효율적인 통신을 하기위해, 협력 통신방식이 제기되었다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 방식의 무선 통신방법 중 협력 전송 기법에 대해 소개하고, 이에 따른 채널 특성과 통신 예시 등을 소개할 것이다.

  • To boost the Korean peninsula as a logistical hub of North-East Asia in 21st century is an important part of Korean development strategies. This research has been conducted on the premise that the connection and operation of the Korean Peninsula break-railway and Euro-Asian railway network will be a great drive for Korean economy and railway technology development. For the preparation to do a further research on this subject, this paper introduces the general condition and related basic material for the railway network operation through the countries along the corridor. It also provides the basic data of railway and actual operation condition in the involved Euro- Asian areas, such as Russia, China, Mongolia, Kazakh-stan, etc.
