Using network communication, KTX OBCS is KTX's core device which inspects operation status of various electric equipments and supports driving command, train control, train's maintenance, train crew's driving. Since this device is manufactured as specialized system, being dependent on TGV manufacture specification and France's high speed train operation method, actual technic transfer is difficult. Therefore, there are many difficulties, since most of interface signals are connected with OBCS when function improvement, maintenance, various electric equipments(propulsion control device, auxiliary power supply device, door control device etc.) are replaced with localized ones, which are required in operational view after introduction of KTX. Ergo, this study would like to contribute to function improvement and maintenance's efficiency, furthermore to realize technical independence, escaping from dependency of developed foreign technology in high speed train and electric equipments, through KTX OBCS' function analysis and mutual interface information analysis with peripheral device(driver console, PID system, fault display device, various electric equipments).
The results of the survey on water utilization status, the wasted water factor, the awareness, and the education and promotional activities of water saving in Daejeon City are as follows: The percentage of using tap valve with a closure was 66% when showering. 74% of water was used with closing the tap valve when washing faces with no water needed, it was still considered that there existed a wasting water. The most wasting reasons of water were found to be shower, bath, and laundry in order. In the awareness of practicing tap water saving, 9.1% of respondents acted actively, 53.4% of them were trying to practice it, and more than 63% had a positive awareness. In the contents of practicing saving water, locking water when soaping while showering, non-laundry of small quantity, and using cups when brushing teeth were top priorities. About 50% of the reasons for saving water was to practice purely saving water, when saving for economic help was excluded. The level of water saving awareness was not high when considering that the ratio of usage without water saving equipment and installation, and using method was relatively high when moving in. In order to make usage of water saving equipment more common, it was deemed necessary to provide information on the purchase of water saving equipment and to promote and educate the efficiency of saving of related products. More than about 90% of the respondents responded that water saving education or promotional activities had an effect of improving water saving awareness. The most effective method of education and promotional activities was found to be 40.4% by mass media activities, and 21.7% by promotions through mobile devices.
Recently, the government has actively promoted the introduction of BIM at the national level to improve the efficiency and productivity of the construction industry, and private interest in the application of BIM has also increased. However, despite the large amount of references and information, not much research has been done in quantitative ways to accurately measure the performance of BIM projects. The purpose of this study is to review performance measurement cases using ROI, investment effect analysis, and queue model analysis using domestic and overseas BIM guideline research and to present standard templates that can quantitatively measure BIM performance records according to domestic conditions based on this. Performance measurement trends and cases according to the application of BIM were analyzed, and nine quantification elements were derived from this, and based on this, a performance measurement data collection template at the BIM life cycle stage was prepared. Detailed items and contents were prepared for the nine quantification elements, and the final template consisted of a total of 43 questions, divided into the entire stage (15), the beginning (8), the middle (8), and the latter (12) areas. It is expected that by using the standard template of railway BIM performance records developed in this study, the BIM design stage will be diagnosed and the deficiencies will be supplemented, which will be the basic data for measuring actual quantitative performance in all life cycle performance of future BIM projects.

The Yongin Light Rail train was manufactured by Bombardier Transportation in Canada in 2008 and is a privately invested railway line that has been operating in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, since 2013. When the frequency of train failure increases due to aging, and there is a delay in the delivery period of imported parts used in the Bombardier manufactured trains, timely vehicle maintenance may not be performed due to lack of parts. To solve this problem, it is necessary to build a 'vehicle parts maintenance demand forecasting system' that analyzes the accurate and actual maintenance demand annual based on the condition of vehicle parts. The full scope of analysis in this paper analyzes failure data from various angles after opening of Yongin light rail vehicle to analyze failure patterns for each part and identify replacement cycles according to possible failures and consumption of parts. Based on this study, it is expected that Yongin Light Rail's maintenance system will change from the existing time-based replacement (TBM) concept to the condition-based maintenance (CBM) concept. It is expected that this study will improve the efficiency of the Yongin Light Rail maintenance system and increase vehicle availability. This paper is a fundamental for establishing of a system for predicting the replacement timing of vehicle parts for Yongin Light Rail. It reports the results of data analysis on some vehicle parts.

In this paper, the porous metal PM-35 is proposed as the filler material of filled thin-walled tubes (FTTs), and a series of experimental study is conducted to investigate the dynamic behavior and energy absorption performance of PM-35 filled thin-walled tubes under impact loading. Firstly, cylinder solid specimens of PM-35 steel are tested to investigate the impact mechanical behavior by using the Split Hopkinson pressure bar set (SHP); Secondly, the filled thin-walled tube specimens with different geometric parameters are designed and tested to investigate the feasibility of PM-35 steel applied in FTTs by the orthogonal test. According to the results of this research, it is concluded that PM-35 steel is with the excellent characteristics of high energy absorption capacity and low yield strength, which make it a potential filler material for FTTs. The micron-sizes pore structure of PM-35 is the main reason for the macroscopic mechanical behavior of PM-35 steel under impact loading, which makes the material to exhibit greater deformation when subjected to external forces and obviously improve the toughness of the material. In addition, PM-35 steel core-filled thin-wall tube has excellent energy absorption ability under high-speed impact, which shows great application potential in the anti-collision structure facilities of high-speed railway and maglev train. The parameter V0 is most sensitive to the energy absorption of FTT specimens under impact loading, and the sensitivity order of different variations to the energy absorption is loading speed V0>D/t>D/L. The loading efficiency of the FTT is affected by its different geometry, which is mainly determined by the sleeve material and the filling material, which are not sensitive to changes in loading speed V0, D/t and D/L parameters.
Recently, full-scale research about a passenger tube train system is being progressed as a next-generation transportation system in Korea in light of global green technology. The Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) has commenced official research on the construction of a tube train system. In this paper, we studied various parameters of the tube train system such as the internal tube pressure, blockage ratio, and operating speed through computational analysis with a symmetric and elongated vehicle. This study was about the aerodynamic characteristics of a tube train that operated under standard atmospheric pressure (open field system, viz., ground) and in various internal tube environments (varying internal tube pressure, blockage ratio, and operating speed) with the same shape and operating speed. Under these conditions, the internal tube pressure was calculated when the energy efficiency had the same value as that of the open field train depending on various combinations of the operating speed and blockage ratio (the P-D relation). In addition, the dependence of the relation between the internal tube pressure and the blockage ratio (the P-${\beta}$ relation) was shown. Besides, the dependence of the relation between the total drag and the operating speed depending on various combinations of the blockage ratio and internal tube pressure (the D-V relation) was shown. Also, we compared the total (aerodynamic) drag of a train in the open field with the total drag of a train inside a tube. Then, we calculated the limit speed of the tube train, i.e., the maximum speed, for various internal tube pressures (the V-P relation) and the critical speed that leads to shock waves under various blockage ratios, which is related to the efficiency of the tube train (the critical V-${\beta}$ relation). Those results provide guidelines for the initial design and construction of a tube train system.
On sites where explosives are used, the effects of noise and vibration produced by the blast wave are subject to a number of operational restrictions. Recently, the number of civil complaints has increased and the standard of environmental regulations on secure goods has been greatly tighten. Therefore, work is generally carried out by machine excavation in case of close proximity of safety thing. Machine excavation methods have the advantage as reducing noise and vibration compared to blasting methods, but depending on the conditions of rock intended to be excavated, they are sometimes less constructive than planned. In general, the closer a rock type is to hard rock, the less constructible it becomes. In this paper, we are going to explain the construction of a construction section with a close proximity to a safety thing using electronic detonators. While the project site was designed with a machine excavation methods due to the close(9.9m) proximity of safety thing(the railroad), construction using electronic detonators was reviewed as an alternative method for improving rate of advance time and construction efficiency when expose to hard rock. Through blasting using electronic detonators, construction and economic efficiency were maximized while minimizing impact on surrounding safety things. Because $HiTRONIC^{TM}$, which is produced by Hanwha, has innovative stability and high explosion reliability, it is able to explode with high-precision accuracy. Electronic detonators are widely used in construction sites of railway or highway, other urban burrowing areas and large limestone mines.
Clinker layer is a stratum structure distributed in volcanic area such as Jeju Island. The clinker layers were formed in between the repetitive action of eruption and solidification of lava flows. Since the clinker layer contains a large amount of voids accompanied by the lava gas ejection process, there is a possibility of inducing overall stability of the ground due to the low stiffness and strength of the clinker layer. Therefore, in this study, site investigation was carried out at both ends of the 00 bridge where the clinker layers exist. And, based on the ground survey results, the behavior of shallow foundations was analyzed numerically. In addition, the improved shallow foundation behavior in grouting substitution using the chemical injection method of the clinker layer was compared with the shallow foundation behavior in the ground, and the grouting substitution efficiency of each layer was analyzed. As a result, the bearing capacity, the replacement efficiency and elastic settlement were different according to the presence or absence of the sediment layer. This is because the sediment layer has a lower stiffness and density than the clinker layer.
In recent years, with the rapid development of large and medium-sized urban rail transit in China, the total operating mileage of high-speed railway and the total number of EMUs(Electric Multiple Units) are rising. The system complexity of high-speed EMU is constantly increasing, which puts forward higher requirements for the safety of equipment and the efficiency of maintenance.At present, the maintenance mode of high-speed EMU in China still adopts the post maintenance method based on planned maintenance and fault maintenance, which leads to insufficient or excessive maintenance, reduces the efficiency of equipment fault handling, and increases the maintenance cost. Based on the intelligent operation and maintenance technology of PHM(prognostics and health management). This thesis builds an integrated PHM platform of "vehicle system-communication system-ground system" by integrating multi-source heterogeneous data of different scenarios of high-speed EMU, and combines the equipment fault mechanism with artificial intelligence algorithms to build a fault prediction model for traction motors of high-speed EMU.Reliable fault prediction and accurate maintenance shall be carried out in advance to ensure safe and efficient operation of high-speed EMU.

Since the building construction works are repeated vertically in a limited space, there is not a great need for the location information of each activity in the schedule management. On the other hand, civil engineering works such as road and railway projects consist of a large number of earthworks, long bridges, and long tunnels. These types of work should be controlled in a horizontal space according to the linear axis of several tens of kilometers. In other words, since most of the activities are managed in the unit of distance from the start point to the end point, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the schedule management by linking the location information of the activity with the schedule data in the schedule management system. This study presents a methodology for creating a linear schedule chart specific to a project with horizontal work space and compares the convenience with the existing Gantt chart. In addition, the methodology of linking linear schedule chart to the 4D CAD system, which is a typical BIM technology in the construction phase, is presented to improve the usability of BIM. The practical applicability of the proposed methodology was verified statistically.
