  • The coldproofness should be studied in order to operate the freight car by connecting the South and North Korea Railway. Actually, there is no standard for coldproofness in South Korea Railway, The standard for coldproofness of the Russian Railway, the Chiness Railway and the North Korea Railway was studied. From the analysis of these standards, the standard of coldproofness was proposed for the freight vehicle connecting the South and North Korean Railway.

  • Risk management is an important part of system assurance and it is widely used in safety-related system. Railway signal system is one kind of safety-related system and its most important goal is to guarantee the safety of railway system. The method based on risk management can find and solve the security issues of railway signal system more effectively. This paper introduces the basic conception of risk management, studies the whole process of risk management and related tools and techniques and discusses some key points qualitatively combining with the particularity of railway signal system.

  • The article expounds that the speed competition is the motive force of each transportation means. It also analyzes the current condition of the speed of Chinese railways. The developing strategy for Chinese railway is to raise the speed of the existing lines as a primary step and to construct the high-speed railway in selected sections concurrently, which proved that constructing high-speed railway in Beijing-Shanghai area is the best choice.

  • 철도산업의 기술경쟁력 확보를 위해선 필연적으로 소비자를 만족시킬 수 있는 서비스의 획기적인 향상과 철도경영의 고도화예 기여할 전문인재의 양성을 요구하고 있다. 이런 시대적 국가적 흐름을 정확히 간파하고 철도공학의 특성화 및 전문 교과과정을 육성하는 것은 매우 중요한 사항으로 첨단 철도산업의 기술개발과 발전을 위해서는 철도기술인력의 확보가 기본이 되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 철도공학 교육의 활성화 방안을 모색함으로써 철도기술인력 육성 방안을 조사하여 철도 기술경쟁력 향상을 이루는데 목적이 있다.

  • The Korea railway design trends has been developed by the change of the society and culture through the consideration of the history of railway. The railway design trends is as the vehicles in the external form of railways, instantly means to plan and create the value added something like the form of the exterior design. The railway design has been changing form instinctive methods to settle the mass transport of the early days, to sensitive methods to pursue the railway culture centering around human being. As dividing by the style's change of railway in image scale aspects between 1800's and 2005 according to the life environment into the external nation, there are big differences so that is to study the development history of the railway design accordingly each nation (Korea, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan) and the style's change, to confirm into the design applied in society and culture needs, and to analyze by a year in changes of the environment and the railway design history. This paper analyzed railway introduced as railway models by top 4 nation (United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan) and Korea in the past years(1800-2005) for their Korea railway design trends by image scale positioning.

철도건설 투자우선순위에 관한 연구 (A Study on Criteria for investment Priority of Railway Project)

  • Determining the investment priority of the railway project is essential to keep its object of railway investment. [National railway construction plan] provide 4 major evaluation indicators and their weighting range in determining the investment priority of railway construction. Which are investment efficiency, inter-regional balance of development, network effects, government supporting policy. However this present criteria has inconsistency in determining economical feasibility of the railway transportation when applying the same evaluation indicator, investment efficiency, with the road transportation. The railway transportation is superior to road transportation in terms of transportation capacity and distance, while offering less carbon emissions. In spite of the prominent position of the railway transportation, it can be failed to obtain its proper investment priority when being determined under economical feasibility based. Therefore, this study analyzed the inconsistency under present evaluation criteria and proposed new evaluation method for the investment priority of the railway construction using AHP(analytic hierarchy process), while differentiate from the road construction. This method is optimized for only determining the priority of the railway construction itself under object of railway investment respectively.

한국, 일본, 만주의 철도현황 비교연구 -1920년대 중반 일제강점기를 중심으로- (A Comparative Study of the Korean, Japanese and Manchurian Railway Policy during the Japan Colonial Period)

  • 19세기 말부터 20세기 초중반에 걸쳐 동아시아 한국, 일본, 만주는 여러 가지 성장과 발전과정을 겪었는데, 그 중 철도는 매우 중요한 발전수단이었고 국가의 정책과 밀접한 관련을 가지고 있었다. 특히 당시 동아시아 정세는 일본의 대륙진출이 두드러진 시대로 그 영향력이 매우 컸다고 할 수 있다. 그러한 가운데에서도 각국의 철도는 국가정책과 철도정책 그리고 다양한 조직과 영향력 하에서 발전하였다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 동아시아 3개국의 철도를 비교하면서 공통점과 차이점을 발견하고 이를 통해 동아시아 철도의 특징을 고찰하고자 하였다. 한국, 일본, 만주철도의 각각의 특징을 비교해 보면 첫째 일본은 철도를 통한 근대화와 대륙진출의 동기를 가지고 있었고 조선은 대륙철도연결을 수행하는 역할 그리고 만주의 경영은 철도를 통해 직접 지배하는 양상을 보였다고 할 수 있다. 두 번째로 일본철도의 모델을 그대로 우리나라에 적용하였는데, 이는 우리나라의 경우 일본의 연장선상에서 철도가 운영되었다고 할 수 있다. 만주 철도의 경우 유럽각국의 아시아 지배의 모습에서 발견할 수 있는 비슷한 양상과 일본이 초기 사설철도의 경험을 가지고 있었기 때문에 철도를 통한 지배양상을 보이고 있다.

  • 본 연구는 일제강점기의 우리나라 철도와 만주철도를 비교하였다. 양국철도는 공히 제국주의 철도라는 공통점을 가지고 있었지만 서로 다른 성격을 가지고 있었다. 첫째 만주철도는 정부주도하의 민간철도라는 성격을 가지고 있었다. 우리나라 철도는 철도수입위주였지만 만주철도는 철도이외에도 지역개발, 광산, 항만 운영 등 다양한 사업을 전개하였다. 두 번째 만주철도는 우리나라 철도에 비해 수익성이 좋았고, 화물위주의 수송이었다. 세 번째로 철도관료의 경우도 우리나라는 주로 정부 관료들이 임명되었지만 만주철도의 경우는 정당정치에 의한 정치가, 외교관 등 다양한 계층에서 임명되었다. 관동군으로 편입된 이후에는 군의 영향력이 컸다. 공통점으로는 제국주의 철도였기 때문에 정부정책 특히 시기적으로 철도는 군사적 목적에 활용되었다. 특히 만주철도의 경우 대륙에서의 전쟁수행이라는 면에서 직접적인 영향을 받았다고 할 수 있다. 향후 같은 시기의 일본 본토 그리고 대만과의 비교연구를 통해 동아시아 철도의 공통점과 차이점의 부각을 통해 우리나라 철도의 성격이 새롭게 조명될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

철도의 형성과 발전을 중심으로 본 심양의 근대도시 발전과정에 관한 연구(1898~1945) (A Study on Modern City Development of Shenyang in terms of Formation and Development of Railway Network(1895~1945))

  • Shenyang was one of the representative transportation hub of Northeast China during the modern period. The formation and development of the railway network gave great influence on Shenyang's city development. In order to understand the relationship between railway and city development, first, we classified Shenyang's city development period by the railway network's formation and expansion process. Then, we analyzed the relationship between railway and city space by five categories. The results of this study are as follows. First, before railway was constructed, Shenyang was a castle city, which also was the economic center of Northeast China. This was the main reason Shenyang was chosen as a railway zone. During the modern period, the castle structure became an obstacle to city transportation and environment, therefore, it was disposed. During the period of railways' expansion, South Manchuria, Jingfeng and Shenhai railway line was constructed in Shenyang. Since each line had different operation organizations, city sites along the railways were planned separately. However, these operation organizations had one common purpose, which was to use railway as an accelerator for economic development. During the period of railway's military usage, railway was reorganized as military supply transport for the Japanese, which also was used as a tool for the expansion of colonialism. Second, after Shenyang's city space was reconstructed along the railway, it created a close connection with city structure, city facilities, landscape and city transportation system. Hence, the railway system played a key role in modern city planning.
