  • It is increased that need of broadband multimedia service to make useful environment for user and to support the operation of railway system. So study of integrated data transmission in a subway and railway is activated. The research deals with pass loss characteristics of 18GHz microwave that is assigned frequency of integrated data transmission in a subway and railway. It is used sample integrated transmission system in subway and railway of KRRI(korea railroad research Institute) at the tunnel and road. Specification of test sample system is blow. It use OFDM modulation, Wireless frequency is 18GHz and 19GHz, Maximum output power is 20dBm, Receive sensitivity is -90dBm. The pass loss exponent and standard variation of road and tunnel is analyzed.

  • Present status of railroad slopes through the field investigation in 26 selected slopes and/or rockfall at risk was grasped. From the evaluation of field data, main characteristics of railroad slopes are that 1) the possibility of failure by rockfall is high, 2) the Possibility of failure by slope itself is low and 3) rockfall's risk at the in and out part of tunnel is especially high. To maintain the railroad slopes systematically and reasonably, it is necessary to make and to use the database of slopes information along the railroad. Furthermore, through the construction of basic slopes' information, maintenance system of railroad slopes was developed in connection with IR-DiPS(Intelligent Railroad - Disaster Prevention System) in the future.

  • 터널에 온도, 습도, 풍향, 풍속 등의 환경 데이터를 실시간으로 측정하여 전송 및 화재감지기의 경년시험 등을 수행할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 터널 환경측정 시스템은 철도터널 중 금정터널, 솔안터널 및 서울지하철 4호선 터널 등 국내 3개의 대표 터널 현장에 설치가 되어 약 1년 이상 터널환경이 측정되었으며 안정적으로 운용되었다. 또한 서울지하철 4호선 과천선 본선터널에 설치된 2기의 개발된 터널 환경 측정시스템으로부터 측정된 결과를 분석하였다. 개발된 터널 환경측정 시스템은 무선 통신망을 이용하여 터널 환경을 24시간 연속으로 안전적으로 분석가능하며 터널뿐만 아니라 여러 분야에 활용이 가능할 것이다.

  • 터널과 같은 밀폐 공간에서는 화재시 발생하는 열과 연기로 인하여 터널내의 승객들에게 심각한 피해를 입힐 수가 있다. 이러한 피해를 최소화하기 위하여 터널의 화재를 조기감지하기 위하여 화재감지기가 터널에 설치된다. 철도터널의 화재감지기 성능시험 방법 정립을 위한 제한된 규모의 화원에서의 터널 상부 및 측벽에 설치된 화재감지기의 감지특성을 수치해석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 화재영향 수치해석을 위하여 NIST에서 개발한 FDS 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 터널벽의 온도를 현실적으로 계산하기 위하여 터널 외부의 구조를 가정하여 고려하였다. 화원크기에 따른 화재감지기별 화재감지 시간을 터널 위치별로 산출하여 비교 분석하였다.

  • 지속적인 수도권 교통 인프라 수요의 증가에 따른 광역·도시철도 노선의 급행화를 위해서는 완행과 급행철도를 동시에 운영할 수 있도록 하는 부본선의 건설이 요구된다. 그러나 기존 지하철 노선의 운행을 중단한 후 부본선을 건설하는 것은 많은 경제적 손실을 발생시키므로 기존 지하철 터널의 운영 중 확폭 방안에 대한 연구가 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 노선 급행화에 필요한 부본선 건설을 위해 기존 지하철 터널의 운영 중 확폭 방안에 대한 기초연구를 수행하였다. 기존선 운영 중 부본선 건설방안 모색을 위해 지하철 4호선 과천선의 정부과천청사역을 부본선 건설 가상 역사로 선정하고, 4가지 방안의 구간별 단면 및 공법계획을 검토하였으며, 해당 역사에 대하여 부본선을 시공하였을 경우 시공성·경제성에 비해 상대적으로 안정성이 우려된다고 판단되는 방안을 선정하여 부본선 시공과정을 고려한 3차원 수치해석을 통한 안정성 검토를 수행하였다.

A Study on Fluctuating Pressure Load on High Speed Train Passing through Tunnels

  • The carbody structure of a high speed train passing through a tunnel is subjected to pressure fluctuation. Fatigue strength of the carbody structure against the fluctuating pressure loading should be proved in the design stage for safety. In this study, to get the useful information on the pressure fluctuation in the tunnel, measurement has been conducted during test running of KHST on the high speed line for two years. The measured results were analyzed and arranged to be used for carbody design. A prediction method for the magnitude and frequency of pressure change was proposed and the propagating characteristics of pressure wave was investigated. By statistical analysis for the measured results, a pressure loading spectrum for the high speed train was given. The proposed method can also be used to estimate the pressure loading spectrum for new high speed line at design stage combined with the results of train performance simulation.

  • High-speed trains with maximum speed of 300km/h, named KTX, have started revenue services since April 2004. Because of the geographical features of Korea a large portion of the 'Kyung-Bu' line is comprised of tunnels, which may cause excessive noise in a vehicle. The KTX interior noise follows in tunnel structure and the place where the quality appears different, the quality against hereupon from the commerce vehicle from the research which it sees it executes and comparison to analyze.

Theoretical evaluation of collision safety for Submerged Floating Railway Tunnel (SFRT) by using simplified analysis

  • Submarine collisions is one of the major hazardous factor for Submerged Floating Railway Tunnel (SFRT) and this study presents the safety evaluation for submarine collision to SFRT by using theoretical approach. Simplified method to evaluate the collision safety of SFRT was proposed based on the beam on elastic foundation theory. Firstly, the time history load function for submarine collision was obtained by using one-degree-of-freedom vibration model. Then, the equivalent mass and stiffness of the structure were calculated, and the collision responses of SFRT were evaluated. Finite element analysis was conducted to verify the proposed equations, and it can be found that the collision responses, such as deflection, and acceleration, agreed well with the proposed equations. Finally, derailment condition for high speed train in SFRT due to submarine collision was proposed.

  • In many countries the slab track of railroads is mostly applied on the railroad bridges and tunnels, however it hasn't been constructed in the tunnel in Korea. Presently the Korea high speed railway construction authority is planning to construct slab track in the tunnels to minimize the cost of maintenance and repair. In this study, dynamic characteristics of the railroad roadbed which was constructed using crushed stones obtained from tunnel construction was investigated through the field investigation, real scale model test and numerical analysis. As a conclusion, the roadbeds built with the crushed stones produced at the tunneling site satisfy the requirement of roadbed in terms of displacement and earth pressure for the slab track in tile tunnel.

  • We, presently, don't have clear diagram methods and analysis criteria in rock bolt pull test usable for tunnel reinforcement. So this paper has suggested that; first, 'scheme of apposite diagram method at hard rock and the different application method of rock bolt pull test at weathered and hard rock', and second, 'the pullout capacity specification criteria for design and construction of rock bolt', based on foreign criteria and field test.
