In nuclear power plant, it has been the important object to reduce the occupational radiation exposure (ORE). Recently, the optimization concept of management science has been studied to reduce the ORE in nuclear power plant. In optimization of the worker allocation, the collective dose, working time, individual dose, an total number of worker must be considered and their priority orders must be thought because the main constraint is necessary for determining the constraints variable of the radiological worker allocation problem. The ultimate object of this study s to look into the change of the optimal allocation of the radiological worker as priority order changes. In this study, the priority order is the characteristic of goal programming that is a kind of multi-objective linear programming. From a result of study using goal programming, the total number of worker and collective dose of worker have changed as the priority order has changed and the collective dose limit have played an important role in reducing the ORE.

But the correlation coefficient appeared lowly with 0.196. With the variable who affects in radiological defense act it appeared with worker providing by law educations and RI license acquisitions. Conclusion : There is to business progress and the radiological defense act respects a worker safety stands the unit only is the fact which is important. Consequently a possibility of saying that the radiation worker education is necessary, it executes the education which is continuous, RI license acquisitions, there is.
In this study, safety education contents for medical radiation workers were produced based on Mixed Reality(MR). Currently, safety training for radiation workers is based on theory. This is insufficient in terms of worker satisfaction and efficiency. To address this, we created ICT(Information and Communication Technologies)-based MR radiation worker safety education content. The expected effect of Mixed Reality worker safety education content is that education is possible without space and time constraints, realistic education is possible without on-site training, and interaction between images is possible through reality-based 3D images, enabling self-directed learning Is that. In addition, learning in a virtual space expressed through HMD(Head Mounted Display) is expected to make education more enjoyable and increase concentration, thereby increasing the efficiency of education. A quantitative evaluation was conducted by an accredited institution and a qualitative evaluation was performed on users, which received excellent evaluation. The MR safety education conducted in this study is expected to be of great help to the education of medical radiation workers, and is expected to develop into a new educational paradigm as online education in accordance with Corona 19 progresses.
This study was conducted from July 1 to September 30, 2018 using Optically Stimulated Luminescence Dosimeter(OSLD) and photoluminescent glass dosimeter(PLD) to measure the 3-month exposure dose and the cumulative dose in the active working area of the nuclear medicine worker Respectively. As a result, the cumulative dose for three months in the worker and work area was measured as 1.97 mSv and 2.02 mSv in the PLD. The mean surface dose and the mean depth dose of the OSLD were measured to be 2.04 mSv. The difference in the total surface dose measured by the PLD and the OSLD was 0.66mSv and the total mean surface dose was 0.07mSv. The difference between the total depth dose and the total depth dose was 0.1mSv and 0.02mSv, respectively. It was found that the dose value of the OSLD was higher than that of the PLD. In addition, it was found that the maximum difference of 0.01mSv was observed between the PLD and the OSLD of the worker. For the dose measurement of the two dosimetry systems, there was no significant difference between the PLD and the OSLD in the surface dose of 0.239 (p>0.05). Also, the significance of PLD and OSLD in the deep dose was 0.109, which was not statistically significant (p>0.05).

The Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences has started a radiation epidemiological study, titled "Korean Radiation Worker Study," to evaluate the health effects of occupational exposure to radiation. As a part of this study, we investigated the methodologies and results of reconstructing organ-specific absorbed doses based on personal dose equivalent, Hp(10), reported from 1984 to 2019 for 20,605 Korean radiation workers. For the organ dose reconstruction, representative exposure scenarios (i.e., radiation energy and exposure geometry) were first determined according to occupational groups, and dose coefficients for converting Hp(10) to organ absorbed doses were then appropriately taken based on the exposure scenarios. Individual annual doses and individual cumulative doses were reconstructed for 27 organs, and the highest values were observed in the thyroid doses (on average 0.77 mGy/y and 10.47 mGy, respectively). Mean values of individual cumulative absorbed doses for the red bone marrow, colon, and lungs were 7.83, 8.78, and 8.43 mSv, respectively. Most of the organ doses were maximum for industrial radiographers, followed by nuclear power plant workers, medical workers, and other facility workers. The organ dose database established in this study will be utilized for organ-specific risk estimation in the Korean Radiation Worker Study.
Intermediate-level radioactive waste (ILW) is not subject to legal approval for cave disposal in Korea. To solve this problem, a spent resin treatment device that separates 14C-containing resin from zeolite/activated carbon and desorbs 14C through a microwave device has been developed. In this study, we evaluated the radiological safety of the operators performing repair work in the event of a failure in such a device treating 1 ton of spent resin mixture per day. Based on the safety evaluation results, it is possible to formulate a design plan that can ensure the safety of workers while developing a commercialized device. When each component of the resin treatment device can be repaired from the outside, the maximum and minimum allowable repair times are calculated as 263.2 h and 27.7 h for the 14C-detached resin storage tank and zeolite/activated carbon storage tank, respectively. For at least 6 h per quarter, the worker's annual dose limit remains within 50 mSv/year; further, over 5 years, it remained within 100 mSv. At least 6 h of repair time per quarter is considered, under conservative conditions, to verify the radiological safety of the worker during repair work within that time.
Spent resin often exceeds radiation limits for safe disposal, creating a need for commercial-scale treatment techniques to reduce resin radioactivity. In this study, the radiological safety of a commercialized spent resin treatment device with a treatment capacity of 1 ton/day was evaluated. The results confirm that the device is radiologically safe in the event of an accident. This device desorbs 14C from the spent resin, allowing disposal as low-level waste instead of intermediate-level waste. The device also reduces overall waste by recycling the extracted 14C. Potential accident scenarios were explored to enable dose assessments for both internal and external exposure while preventing further spillage of the device and processing the spilled resin. The scenarios involved the development of a surface fracture on the resin mixture separator and microwave systems, which were operated under pressure and temperature of 0-6 bar and 0-150 ℃, respectively. In the case of accidents with separator and microwave device, the maximum allowable working time of worker were derived, respectively, considering external and internal exposures. When wearing the respirator corresponding to APF 50, in the case of the microwave device accident scenario, the radiological safety was confirmed when the maximum worker worked within 132.1 h.
The radiological safety of the spent resin treatment facility with a14C treatment capacity of 1 ton/day was evaluated in terms of the external and internal exposure of worker according to operation scenario. In terms of external dose, the annual dose for close work for 1 h/day at a distance of more than 1 m (19.8 mSv) satisfied the annual dose limit. For 8 h of close work per day, the annual dose exceeded the dose limit. For remote work of 2000 h/year, the annual dose was 14.4 mSv. Lead shielding was considered to reduce exposure dose, and the highest annual dose during close work for 1 h/day corresponded to 6.75 mSv. For close work of 2000 h/year and lead thickness exceeding 1.5 cm, the highest value of annual dose was derived as 13.2 mSv. In terms of internal exposure, the initial year dose was estimated to be 1.14E+03 mSv when conservatively 100% of the nuclides were assumed to leak. The allowable outflow rate was derived as 7.77E-02% and 2.00E-01% for the average limit of 20 mSv and the maximum limit of 50 mSv, respectively, where the annual replacement of the worker was required for 50 mSv.
