Uterine cervical carcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumors occurring in females. After primary treatment, patients are usually followed up with CT or MRI and the findings of these modalities may be the first sign of recurrent disease. Because earlier additional treatment by chemotherapy or radiation therapy may improve the prognosis, the early detection of recurrent cervical carcinoma is clinically important. In this article, we review the CT and MR imaging findings of recurrent uterine cervical carcinoma, and assign them to one of four groups: a) recurrence at the primary site, involving the intrapelvic organs, b) extension to the pelvic side-wall, c) metastases to pelvic and extrapelvic lymph nodes, or d) metastases to distant organs. A further contribution of CT and MR imaging is the detection of hydronephrosis due to ureteral obstruction. The cases in each group are illustrated and discussed, and since an awareness of the spectrum of imaging findings of recurrent cervical carcinoma is likely to lead to its early detection, radiologists should be familiar with the information presented.
The purpose of this study was examine via a survey the knowledge related to radiation safety management (RSM) among radiation workers who operated or used a radiation generator or radioactive isotopes (radioactive isotopes, etc. hereinafter) for industrial use and to systematically analyze the changes in the survey results in order to promote a radiation safety culture for facilities where radiation is used. We administered a questionnaire to 861 radiation workers in the period from August 1 to September 5, 2011. As for the analysis method, a frequency analysis was made for the general characteristics and organization information of survey respondents, while the average and standard deviation were calculated and compared for the knowledge level of the RSM. According to the analysis results, the knowledge level of the RSM was evaluated to be high in all of the radiation workers. In conclusion, it is required to conduct a study on various factors in regards to the RSM among radiation workers. This can contribute to establishing educational programs in a timely manner to increase the awareness of safe and efficient use of radioactive materials and equipments by radiation workers.

The O2O service is an efficient way to operate based on systematic connection of the offline and online states. At present, education, health checkups, and exposure management of radiation workers are separated from offline and online at nuclear-related workplaces. Therefore, we developed a radiation workers management program at the workplace and tried to link online and offline states. After applying the program to the local network, we developed a written employee management system as a computer program and applied it to radiation workers and radiation safety managers at a university hospital in Daejeon using a questionnaire. As a result of the survey, the results of this program can enhance the awareness of safety management and work convenience. There is also a demand for radiation closed workers as well as radiation relative workers. It will be necessary to collect opinions regarding the characteristics of each workplace for the generalization of the radiation workers management program. As a result, real-time radiation safety management and work improvement can be expected through network connections between the workplace, supervisory authority, and related organizations in the future. If a circle structure is formed using the employee management program, development of radiation safety management can be expected.
This study aims to improve the safety inspection awareness of occupational exposure and help radiation safety management by analyzing radiation exposure doses by occupational type of radiation related-workers and radiation workers. Radiation-related workers and radiation workers were classified into three occupations (radiological technologist, doctors, and nurses). A nominal risk coefficient based on ICRP 103 was used to calculate the probability of causing side effects of the lungs due to exposure doses. As a result of analyzing the exposure dose of all workers for one year, the exposure dose of radiological technologist among radiation-related workers was 1.63 ± 2.84 mSv, doctors 0.12 ± 0.22 mSv, and nurses 0.59 ± 1.08 mSv. The one-year deep dose for radiation workers was 2.44 ± 3.30 mSv for radiological technologists, 0.19 ± 0.26 mSv for doctors, and 0.12 ± 0.00 mSv for nurses. Due to this dose, the probability of causing side effects in the lungs was 1.2 per 100,000 radiological technologist, 0.096 doctors, and 0.06 nurses. In this study, it is believed that the probability of side effects on lungs by occupation of radiation exposure dose will be studied and used as useful data for radiation safety management in relation to probabilistic effects in the future.
Background: By examining the safety issues involved in on-site training sessions conducted at specialized vocational high schools, and by analyzing the effects of non-destructive testing (NDT) safety training, this study aims to contribute to ensuring the general safety of high school students. Materials and Methods: Students who expressed an interest in participation were surveyed regarding current NDT training practices, as well as NDT safety training. A total of 361 students from 4 schools participated in this study; 37.7% (136 students) were from the Seoul metropolitan area and 62.3% (225 students) were from other areas. Results and Discussion: Of the respondents, 2.2% (8 students) reported having engaged in NDT. As a result of safety training, statistically significant improvements were observed in most areas, except for individuals with previous NDT experience. The areas of improvement included safety awareness, acquisition of knowledge, subjective knowledge levels, objective knowledge levels, and adjustments to existing personal attitudes. Conclusion: Even at absolutely necessary observation-only training sessions, it is crucial that sufficient safety training and additional safety measures be adequately provided.
Traditionally heating method, pasteurization, irradiation fumigation method and radiation sterilization through a variety of methods to be performed. Irradiation energy requirements compared to the other sterilization methods is small and a strong permeability as a continuous process is possible. Irradiation energy requirements compared to the other sterilization methods is small and a strong permeability as a continuous process is possible. Also sterile, conflict, and control the germination inhibition effective food safety in the food chain has been highlighted as a conservation technique. Foreign countries is carried out extensive research on the safety and the use of irradiation food, gradually increasing. As a result, awareness of the food is irradiated with a low average showed 2.73 point. Therefore through a variety of media to improve the awareness of irradiated food and the active promotion seems to require an appropriate educational program.
The purpose of present research is to offer a specialized educational opportunity for potential users, university students in radiology, by developing specific curriculum on site at KAERI, using HANARO research reactor and National radiation research facilities. The specific items of this research accomplished are: First, Development and operation of various curricula for specific research using HANARO and National radiation research facilities to provide university students with opportunities to use the facilities. Second, Operation of the experiment training programs for university students in radiology to foster next generation specialists. Third, through the on-site experiment training for students in radiology, support future potential experts of the radiation research fields, and broaden the base. A textbook and a teaching aid, a questionnaire have been developed to support the program. 714 university students have completed the courses for radiology experiment from 2006 to 2017. It is hoped that these experiments broaden public awareness and acceptance by the present and potential future utilization of the research reactor and national radiation research facilities, thereby bring positive impacts to policy making.
This study will examine the awareness of students in radiology who have applied the reorganization of the safety management system of frequent visitors according to the amendment of the Nuclear Safety Act. A survey was conducted on 175 students from the Department of Radiology at K University. 98.1% of the students in the second grade, 90.3% in the third grade, and 97.7% in the fourth grade were recognized as need to be classified as person with frequent access by the Nuclear Safety Act. Limiting the operation of radiation equipment in radiography practice is a regulation that violates students' right to learn, and it is necessary to enact an exception rule for learning so that the right to study is not violated.
This study is to promote awareness to be exposed to radiation with identifying knowledge, attitudes and behavior for radiation safety management of the operating room nurse and dental hygienist. And the following results were obtained through questionnaire survey to deduct the education to prevent potential risks in advance and implication to be useful on education program. First, based on the level of knowledge for radiation safety management, 10.57 for dental hygienists, 9.55 for the nurse out of 15 points (p<0.001); based on the level of attitudes for radiation safety management, 4.64 for dental hygienists, 4.67 for the nurse out of 5 points (p<0.001); and based on the level of behavior for radiation safety management, 3.27 for dental hygienists, 2.93 for the nurse out of 5 points (p<0.001). Second, the result for checking the relation with knowledge, attitudes and behavior for radiation safety management, the knowledge of radiation safety management has correlation with attitudes and behavior for radiation safety management statistically (p<0.001).

The reason for recording dose data when using a diagnostic radiation source is to record and manage the dose to healthcare personnel and patients. The purpose of this study was to verify the difference in radiation dose when using diagnostic radiation generating devices and to inform users' awareness of dose reduction through measurement and analysis of dose in situations with and without shielding. The dose analysis of each equipment for two Korean C-arms and two German C-arms showed that the Korean FPD type C-arm had the highest dose value, followed by the German I.I type C-arm, German FPD type C-arm, Korean, and I.I type C-arm. The results of the dose analysis with and without shielding showed that the dose to the human phantom in a normal atmosphere increased by about 2 times due to scattered radiation, but the dose to the human phantom was reduced by about 5 times by wearing a shield (0.5mm/lead apron). More important than the management of radiation dose is the study of how to reduce exposure when using radiation, and since the radiation dose output from different equipment is different, it is necessary to provide dose information with and without shielding.
