디젤연료의 액면화재로부터 화염온도와 복사열 측정 (Measurements of Flame Temperature and Radiation Heat Flux from Pool Fire with Petroleum Diesel Fuel)

  • 석유류 중에서도 차량, 선박, 보일러 등에 많이 사용되고 있는 디젤유는 휘발유나 등유보다도 연소시에 발열량이 높기 때문에, 화재 발생시에 큰 피해를 초래한다. 따라서 본 연구는 시중에 판매중인 디젤유을 이용하여 액면화재 실험을 하였으며, 연소시에 화염의 내부온도와 화염으로부터 발생되는 복사열에 대해서 측정하였다. 디젤유의 순간 최대화염온도는 $900^{\circ}C$ 이상되는 것으로 나타났으며, 평균 최대화염온도는 $800^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 나타났다. 또한 최대화염온도는 가연성 액체의 표면으로부터 5 H/D에서 나타났으며, 이 거리 보다 멀어질 수로 화염의 온도는 낮아졌다. 복사열의 경우 저장용기의 크기와 시료의 량에 따라서 크게 달라지는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 실험 용기의 크기가 0.5 m이고, 시료량이 13 mm와 20 mm에서는 각각 92.29 kW와 117.43 kW로 나타났으며, 크기가 1.0 m의 용기에서는 각각 364.35 kW와 405.88 kW로 나타났다.

  • This article describes an investigation of basic combustion characteristics of radiant burner with various firing rate and equivalence ratios in porous metal. As a main experimental condition, firing rates and equivalence ratios each were adjusted from 204 to $408kW/m^2$ and 0.6 to 1.3. The purpose of this study is to investigate radiation efficiency using two experiment methods. The first way is to calculate the radiation efficiency by measuring the temperature of the burner surface, and the second is to compute the radiation efficiency by measuring the radiation intensity of the burner surface with a radio meter. The value of the radiation efficiency did not exactly match in the two cases. But we figured out that in accordance with increasing heat power, radiation efficiency was decreased. And additional complementary experiment on the relationship between these values is needed.

  • Korea residential housing generally use wet floor heating system 'Ondol' which consist of insulation cushioning, lightweight foamed concrete, hot water pipe and mortar on top of reinforced concrete slab. Wet floor heating system's installation process is too complicate and difficult to supervise field for continuing assurance quality. Also, this method has a huge impact on the progress of construction because it take a long time to cure finishing mortar and lightweight foamed concrete. Therefore, it is considered a disturbance factor of reduction of construction duration for enhancing competitiveness. In this study, we conducted an experiment about the radiant heat performance and temperature difference on upper panel of rolled dry floor heating systems which is jointly developed by Kolon global and Sumisho Metalex for remodeling housing, studio apartment and the urban-life housing.

복사유체의 복사열전달 수치 적분에 관한 연구 (Investigation on Numerical Integration for Radiation Heat Transfer in Radiating Fluid)

  • Interaction between fluid flow and thermal radiation has received considerable attention due to its numerous applications in engineering field. In this case the thermofluid properties of radiating fluid vary with the variation of temperature field caused by absorption and emission of radiant heat. To analyze the radiation heat transfer in radiating fluid, the simultaneous solution of the radiative transfer equation (RTE) and the fluid dynamics equations is required. This means that the numerical procedure used for the RTE must be computationally efficient to permit its inclusion in the other submodels, and must be compatible with the other transport equations. The finite volume method (FVM) and the discrete ordinates method (DOM) are usually employed to simulate radiation problems in generalized coordinates. These two representative methods are examined and compared, especially in view of the numerical integration of the radiation intensity over solid angle. The FVM shows better accuracy than the DOM owing to less constraints of the selection of control angle.

  • There is currently no satisfactory way to optimize supplemental lighting in a greenhouse-type plant factory especially concerning plant production. In a commercial plant factory, we got outside radiation data, inside radiation data and lamp running data. They have a correlation, but have much disorder. By using regression, tendency between the outside and the inside including supplemental lighting was found. We could estimate the average transmittance of this plant factory. From this estimation, we could admit the amount of inside radiation was supplied as much supplied compared to natural radiation. Then we are trying to investigate of the production amount and the supplemental lighting. Plant factory is environmentally controlled, the temperature and humidity are not actually controlled stable. We propose a design of neural network model could be useful to estimate the profit resulting from the operation of supplemental lighting.

  • This study investigated the effects of certain specific wavelengths of lighting on the autonomic nervous system (ANS) using the heart rate variability (HRV) as an index. Six subjects with normal color vision participated n this study between 15:00 and 17:00 hr to neutralize any visual differences arising from circadian rhythm. The environmental conditions of the laboratory were maintained in complete darkness and the temperature was equilibrated at 24$\Box$ with a relative humidity of 60%. Subjects were only subjected to light stimulation when the pupil of dyes attained a minimum size of 2 mm by projecting illumination equalized with the same spectral radiance of 500-700 nm with 50-nm internal radiance. HRV was calculated from electrocardiogram (ECG) with systematic respiratory control at 0.35 Hz. The results suggest that illumination with certain wavelengths may induce ANS activation.

  • Thermal performance of test cell of model hot water Ondol house was simulated by equivalence heat resistence and heat capacity method. In this method wall was replaced by two equivalence and one heat capacity. This method enables to simulate the variation of temperature of each element of model house. The effect of pipe diameter, pitch of pipe and with or without consideration of inter-radiation between wall surfaces on the energy consumption rate were investgated. Results show that radiations between the ground surface of room and wall surfaces contribute to the heating of room air by reducing the convection heat loss through the wall surfaces.

  • Hydromagnetic flow in a cavity under a uniform magnetic field is studied numerically. The cavity is comprised of four radiatively active surfaces. Due to large temperature difference inside a cavity, the radiative interaction between walls is taken into account. The coupled momentum and energy equations are solved by SIMPLER algorithm while the radiant heat exchanges are obtained by the finite volume method for radiation. A Wide range of Grashof numbers is examined as a controlling parameter. Resultant flow and heat transfer characteristics are investigated as well.

벼의 종이 멀치재배법 및 멀치용 종이 개발을 위한 연구 (Studies on the Mulch Paper and Paper Mulch Cultivation of Rice)

  • To establish the weed control method without herbicide and weeding work, mulch paper was developed from domestic old corrugate container. Basis weight of mulch paper should be above 120 g/$m^2$ to guarantee the mechanical properties. It was concluded that polyamide polyamine epichlorohydrin was desirable to improve the wet strength of mulch paper and the optimum addition level was about 1.5% on the basis of oven dry pulp. The mulch paper was found to be effective in controlling paddy weeds. For the complete weed control the mulch paper should be sustained without decomposition over 45 days. As the paper mulching reduced the soil temperature, the mulch paper was required to improve the penetration of radiant heat.
