스마트홈과 연동하는 안전 방범창의 개발 (Development of security windows by smart homes)

  • 스마트홈과 연동하는 안전한 방범창은 외부의 침입자를 차단하고 주거 내의 물품 도난 및 개인의 신변을 보호하기 위한 안전설비로 다양한 형태의 방범창이 존재한다. 스마트홈은 건물 내의 센서가 화재를 감지하면 방범창 내부의 원격시스템이 자동으로 방범창을 매우 짧은 시간 안에 개방할 수 있도록 설계한다. 화재 등 재난시 상하부 방법창이 자동으로 개폐되도록 랙피니언을 이용하여 방범창의 위쪽 창틀을 상승시켜 창살이 움직일 수 있도록 개방하고 동시에 아래쪽 창틀이 회전하도록 구성하여 화재 및 폭우 등에 인명피해를 줄일 수 있도록 설계한다. 스마트홈 시스템과의 연계로 재난을 미리 감지하고 탈출구를 개방한다면 신속하고 안전한 대피가 가능하고, 기존의 프레임 부분 변경에 간단한 시스템만 변경하여 적용할 수 있어, 간단한 구조로 설치할 수 있고 낮은 비용으로 스마트홈을 구성할 수 있다. 특히 스마트홈과 연동하여 재난을 미리 감지하고 탈출구를 개방함으로써 신속하고 안전한 대피가 가능하여 다양한 재난을 대비할 수 있다.

콘크리트 매립형 궤도를 운행하는 트램의 주행안전성 향상 기술 (Technologies for improving the running safety of a tram operating on the concrete embedded track)

  • 콘크리트 매립형 궤도를 운행하는 트램의 주행 안전성을 향상시키기 위해 핵심 구성품인 대차를 개발하고 제작하여 시험 차체와 조립한 후, 단거리 급곡선 급경사 궤도를 건설하고 시험운행을 실시하였다. 대차의 급곡선 주행 중 차륜 플랜지와 매립형 궤도의 간섭을 검토할 수 있는 산식을 제시하였고, 산식 결과에 따라 궤도를 설계하였다. 간략화된 계산식을 도출하여 곡선에서 탈선계수와 윤중감소율을 추정하였다. 단거리 급경사 급곡선 매립형 궤도에서 대차와 차체가 주행할 때에 차체의 가속도를 계측하였고, 영상 시스템을 통해 차륜과 궤도의 인터페이스 상태를 점검하였다. 계산 추정 결과에 따르면 차륜의 탈선계수와 윤중감소율은 안전기준 이하였는데, 실제 주행 시험 중에도 탈선은 발생하지 않았고, 가속도 계측 결과도 주행 안전기준을 만족하였다. 또한, 차륜과 궤도의 간섭은 발생하지 않았고, 영상 모니터링 결과도 차륜의 올라타기 등 탈선조짐은 발견되지 않았으며, 중앙의 피니언과 랙이 원활히 접촉하면서 양호한 주행안전성을 보여주고 있었다. 외부 소음 계측을 통해서 소음 기준을 만족하고 있음을 확인하였다.

  • LPM(Linear Pulse Motor) provide direct and precise position control of bidirectional linear motion. LPM is not subject to the same linear velocity and acceleration limitations inherent in systems converting rotary to linear motion such as lead screws, rack and pinion, belt and pulley drives. With LPM, all the thrust force generated by the motor is efficiently applied directly to the load. And speed, distance, and acceleration are easily programmed in a highly repeatable fashion. Potential industrial and application fields of LPM include PCB assembly, industrial sewing machines, automatic inspection, coil winder, medical uses, conveyer system, laser cut and trim systems, semiconductor wafer processing, OA instruments etc. This paper describes various design parameter of LPM such as magnetic ciucuit construction methods, phase number and tooth number per pole, permanent magnet and coil mmf, tooth geometries. And to solve the problems of existing control methods, in this paper, a new control method of the LPM is proposed throughout modern control theory.

AMT용 새로운 변속자동 메커니즘 설계 및 해석 (Design and Analysis of a New Shift Automation Mechanism for Automated Manual Transmission)

  • This article proposes a novel shift automation mechanism for an automated manual transmission (AMT). The development of an automated manual transmission is currently being paid considerable attention by vehicle manufacturers, with the prospects of combining the comfort of an automatic transmission and the high efficiency of a manual transmission. In order to automate the shift mechanism of a manual transmission, the proposed shift automation mechanism consists of two electric motors, cross shaped pinion gears, rack type shift rails, and a ball splined hollow shaft. First we describe the shift mechanism and operating principles of a manual transmission to investigate important design criteria for the shift automation device. And a new shift automation mechanism is described with its structure, elements, and operating principles in detail. Using a conventional manual transmission, we develop a full three-dimensional CAD model of an AMT which includes main components of the manual transmission and the designed shift automation mechanism. Finally we investigate the operating performances and feasibility of the designed AMT by a dynamic analysis.

파력발전용 병진 질량-스프링식 파력 변환장치의 동적설계 (Dynamic Design of a Mass-Spring Type Translational Wave Energy Converter)

  • This study suggests a dynamic design process for deciding properly design parameters of a mass-spring type Wave Energy Converter (WEC) to achieve sufficient energy conversion from wave to power generator. The WEC mechanism, in this research, consists of a rigid sprung body, a platform, suspension springs and dampers. The rigid sprung body is supported on the platform via springs and dampers and vibrates translationally in the heave direction under wave excitation. At last the resulting heave motion of the sprung body is transmitted to rotating motion of the electric generator by rack and pinion, and transmission gears. For the purpose of vibration analysis, the WEC mechanism has been simply modelled as a mass-spring-damper system under harmonic base excitation. Its maximum displacement transmissibility and steady state response can be determined by using elementary vibration theory if the harmonic ocean wave data were provided. With the vibration analysis results, the suggested dynamic design process of WEC can determine all the design parameters of the WEC mechanism, such as sprung body mass, suspension spring constant, and damping coefficient that can give sufficient relative displacement transmissibility and the associated inertia moment to drive the electric generator and transmission gears.

에너지 절약형 공기압 시스템 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Energy Saving Type Pneumatic System Characteristics)

  • Recently, improving the energy efficiency of a pneumatic system and reducing the consumption of compressed air were a concern of scholars at domestic and abroad. The using fields of a pneumatic system are widely used in factory automation of manufacturing line, chemical factories with explosiveness danger and petroleum industries etc. In particular, pneumatic cylinder is applied to feeding work of workpiece. jig tools and press mechanism, reciprocation and rotary motion with rack and pinion. In this study, the experimental apparatus consisted to pneumatic cylinder, dual supply pressure regulator and solenoid valve. The dual supply pressure regulator connected to outlet port of solenoid valve. The supply pressure($4.5kg_f/cm^2$) of compressed air goes into the rodless chamber 1 to drive the piston rod forward which is named working stage. The supply pressure ($2kg_f/cm^2$) of compressed air goes into the rod chamber 2 to drive the piston rod backward which is named no-working stage. Accordingly, the research results of this study can be obtained to Energy-Saving Effects of the compressed air about 35%.

  • Development of a feed drive-system with high speed, positioning accuracy and thrust has been an important issue in modern automation systems and machine tools. Linear motors can be used as an efficient system to achieve such technical demands. By eliminating mechanical transmission mechanisms such as ball screw or rack-pinion, much higher speeds and greater acceleration can be achieved without backlash or excessive friction. However, due to great power loss and magnetic attraction of the linear motors heating and deflection problems occur. Therefore, it is necessary to design strong structure, cooling device with high efficiency and light weight construction in designing stage of linear motors. This paper presents an investigation into a structural design of linear motor system. In this research, a new concept of moving table with high stiffness and of cooling plate is also introduced. Structure analyses are performed by using a commercial code ANSYS in order to evaluate the design safety.

상부 콘크리트 구조물이 없는 소형 수문 시스템 개발 (The Development of Small Sluice gate systems without Upper Concrete structure)

  • 본 연구는 상부에 설치되는 콘크리트 구조물 없이 설치되어 작동하는 새로운 소형 수문 시스템을 제안하였다. 주요 메커니즘은 유압시스템, 수문 상하 이송 메커니즘, 수문 잠금 제어장치, 이물질이 감지되면 수문이 파손되지 않도록 하는 안전장치 등으로 구성하였다. 유압 펌프 및 제어 시스템은 수문 시스템의 위치에서 떨어진 장소에 설치하여 상부 구조물을 제거할 수 있도록 하여 제어 하였다. 수문 인양 장치는 유압 액추에이터가 달린 래크와 피니언이 측면에 설치되어 작동되며 그 결과 제품의 원가 절감, 작동시 안전성 확보 및 제품의 컴팩트화를 구현하였다.

For the application of the linear motors to precision machine tools an effective cooling method and thermal optimizing measures are required. In this paper presents an investigation into a thermal behavior of linear motor cooling plate. FVM employed to analyze the thermal behavior of the linear motor cooling plate, using the ANSYS-CFX.

소형 물체 파지를 위해 보조 그리퍼가 장착된 프로토 타입 평행 그리퍼 메커니즘 및 실험적 검증 (Prototype Parallel Gripper Mechanism Equipped with Assisting Grippers for Small Object Grasping and Experimental Validation)

  • The ability of the robot gripper to handle a wide range of objects significantly impacts its operational effectiveness. Among the robot grippers commonly used, the economically feasible choice is the relatively simple structure of a parallel gripper. To perform more densely packed tasks with a parallel gripper, it should be capable of handling small objects. Therefore, this study designs a parallel gripper mechanism equipped with assisting grippers to ensure smooth grasping of small objects. The parallel gripper is designed using a rack and pinion gear system, with two additional grippers on both side, and these assisting grippers are designed to be detachable. The two assisting grippers have different type of tip to grasp thin fabric shapes and thin stick shapes. The gripper prototype is used to verify the grasping capabilities for shapes achievable with a conventional parallel gripper and those intended for grasping with the assisting grippers through grasping experiments. Consequently, by equipping a conventional parallel gripper with assisting grippers as in this study, it becomes capable of handling a broader range of objects, in addition to its existing functionality.
