  • The objectives of study are to develop a peripheral device on the endoscopic surgery system. These systems are consist of the following units. They are a color monitor of high resolution, light source, computer system and endoscopic camera with a C-mount head, irrigator, color video printer, Super VHS recorder and a system rack. The color monitor is a NTSC monitor for monitoring the image projected of the surgical section. The lightsource is necessary to irradiate the interior of a body via an optic fiber, The light projector will adapt the brightness in accordance with changing distance from the object. A miniature camera using a color CCD chip and computer system is used to capture and control an image of the surgical section[1]. The video printer is a 300 DPI resolution using thermal sublimation methods, which is developed by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. The specification of the endoscopic data management system is consist of storage of a captured image and pathological database of patients [2-4].

  • Sensorless electric superchargers have recently been actively developed to provide a large amount of oxygen to engines in order assist the combustion process for miniaturizing the engines and improving fuel efficiency. The model-based sensorless method for surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motors has a disadvantage in that the system may become unstable due to parameter variations in low-speed operation and the rapid-acceleration section. An electric supercharger requires fast response to improve the engine response delay, such as the turbocharger turbo-rack. Therefore, the responsiveness must be improved to use the model-based sensorless system. The position compensation algorithm designed in this study is controlled by converting the position error into the beta, which is the angle formed by the d-axis and the stator current during sudden speed change. In this study, we improved the response of the model-based sensorless system through the algorithm and verified the algorithm validity by applying the algorithm to an actual dual-motor supercharger.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 최초로 개발된 장보고-III급 잠수함 전투체계의 기본 기능에 랙 서버형 HPC와 3U VPX 서버형 HPC를 이용한 가상화 환경을 적용하여 시험하였으며, 시험 결과를 바탕으로 향후 개발되는 국내 잠수함 전투체계에 대한 가상화 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 기존의 연구들은 가상화 솔루션에 대한 단순 성능분석을 통하여 함정전투체계에 적용 가능한 가상화 솔루션을 도출하거나 수상함 전투체계 일부 기능에 가상화를 적용해 보는데 국한되었지만 본 논문에서는 시험을 통하여 가상화 적용 가능성을 잠수함 전투체계까지 확대하였다.

  • Until now, many networked robots have been connected to the Internet for the various applications. With these networked robots, very long distance teleoperation can be possible through the Internet. However, the promising area of the Internet-based teleoperation may be distance learning, because of several reasons such as the unpredictable characteristics of the Internet. In robotics class, students learn many theories about robots, but it is hard to perform the actual experiments for all students due to the rack of the real robots and safety problems. Some classes may introduce the virtual robot simulator for students to program the virtual robot and upload their program to operate the real robot through the off-line programming method. However, the students may also visit the laboratory when they want to use the real robot for testing their program. In this paper, we developed an Internet-based robot education system. The developed system was composed of two parts, the robotics class materials and the web-based Java3d robot simulator. That is, this system can provide two services for distance learning to the students through the Internet. The robotics class materials can be provided to the student as the multimedia contents on the web page. As well, the web-based robot simulator as the real experiment tool can help the students get good understanding about certain subject. So, the students can learn the required robotics theories and perform the real experiments from their web browser when they want to study themselves at any time.

  • Development of a feed drive system with high speed, positioning accuracy and thrust has been an important issue in modern automation systems and machine tools. Linear motors can be used as an efficient system to achieve such technical demands. By eliminating mechanical transmission mechanisms such as ball screw or rack-pinion, much higher speeds and greater acceleration can be achieved without backlash or excessive friction. However, an important disadvantage of linear motor system is its high power loss and heating up of motor and neighboring machine components on operation. For the application of the linear motors to precision machine tools an effective cooling method and thermal optimizing measures are required. In this paper presents an investigation into a thermal behavior of linear motor cooling plate. FVM employed to analyze the thermal behavior of the linear motor cooling plate, using the ANSYS-CFX.

Linear motors can be used as an efficient system to achieve such technical demands. By eliminating mechanical transmission mechanisms such as ball screw or rack-pinion, much higher speeds and greater acceleration can be achieved without backlash or excessive friction. However, due to great power loss and magnetic attraction of the linear motors heating and deflection problems occur. Therefore, it is necessary to design strong structure, cooling device with high efficiency and light weight construction in designing stage of linear motors. This paper presents an investigation into a structural design of linear motor system. In this research, a new concept of moving table with high stiffness and of cooling plate is also introduced. Structure analyses are performed by using a commercial code ANSYS in order to evaluate the design safety.

  • ITER 한국사업단은 AC/DC Converter 최종설계검토(FDR)를 2014년 4월에 끝내고, 제작에 관련된 준비사항 점검인 MRR (Manufacturing Readiness Review)를 2014년 10월에 수행하였다. 1차 제작공정인 CCU/L 컨버터와 관련 I&C System은 2014년 11월부터 제작에 착수하여 곧 FAT(Factory Acceptance Test)를 앞두고 있다. 이 시점에서 중요한 것은 FAT를 앞둔 제작된 기기가 ITER의 설계요건을 충분히 만족하는지에 대한 검증을 하는 것이다. 본 논문은 초전도자석 및 컨버터의 이상상태 또는 고장 시에 장치를 보호하는 중요한 Plant Interlock System(PIS)이 ITER의 설계요건을 충실히 반영하였는지 확인하기 위한 요건추적매트릭스(RTM) 기법을 소개하고, Interlock System의 중요기능인 사고 시 초전도 코일에 충전된 에너지를 급속 방전하기 위한 장치인 DLIB와의 연계기능에 적용한 예를 보이고자 한다.

Ergonomic and performance analysis of rail-type boom sprayer for agro-photovoltaic power system

  • This study was conducted to develop a rail-type boom sprayer, performing safe spraying with improved ergonomic postures during pesticide spraying of agro-photovoltaic power system. The sprayer was designed to reduce labor cost and to be safe from pesticide exposure, and was analyzed through a comparison with a conventional spray method. The rail-type boom sprayer, consisted of a self-propelled spray and hose winder, hose, and boom sprayer parts, was designed to automatically pull and spray in the vertical and horizontal directions. The performance of the sprayer for an agro-photovoltaic power system was appropriate. From the analysis of postures with the Ovako Working posture Analysis System (OWAS), Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) methods, the musculoskeletal risk factors to the body using the rail-type boom sprayer were less than those with the conventional power sprayer. In addition, the possibility of pesticide poisoning was reduced compared to the conventional power sprayer. The working capacity with the rail-type boom sprayer was more than five times greater, compared with the conventional power sprayer. After performing pesticide spraying with the rail-type boom sprayer, the labor cost was reduced to 42,750 won·yr-1, which was 90% (402,750 won·yr-1) less than the cost with the use of a conventional power sprayer (445,500 won·yr-1).

VMS의 시인성 향상을 위한 시인성 성능평가 항목 및 평가기준 설정과 물리적 평가시스템 구축 (Development of Evaluation System for Visibility of Variable Message Sign)

  • 본 연구에서는 대표적인 교통정보제공 장치인 VMS의 시인성을 향상시키기 위한 평가항목, 항목별 기준값 및 평가방법을 설정하고 이러한 평가를 수행할 수 있는 평가시스템을 구축하였다. 평가항목으로는 VMS 평가에 관한 기존의 우리나라, 유럽 및 미국의 지침 분석을 토대로 휘도, 휘도비, 빔폭, 색상, 균일성을 설정하였으며, 평가시스템은 고니오미터, 태양광 시뮬레이터, 휘도계, 감지기, 랙 시스템으로 구성하였다. 본 평가시스템 구축으로 향후 설치될 VMS의 시인성에 대한 객관적이고 효과적인 평가가 가능해질 것이다.

랙크식 창고에 대한 미분무 시스템 적용성 실험 (Experiments of Water Mist System Application for Rack Storage)

  • 연구목적: 랙크식 창고의 대표적 가연물인 CEP에 대하여 미분무 소화설비의 적용성을 알아보기 위하여 본 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 연구방법:먼저 본 실험에 사용된 미분무수 소화설비가 유류화재 소화가 가능한지 확인을 수행하였다. 그 후, CEP 박스를 유류화재실험과 동일한 소규모 공간에 적재한 후, 개구부의 열림 및 닫힘, 그리고 닫힘 상태에서의 내부 적재물을 증가시키는 3가지 시나리오를 대상으로 실험을 수행하였다. 시나리오는 미분무수 소화에 중요한 영향요소인 개구부와 공간크기조건을 고려하여 설정되었다. 연구결과:유류화재에 대한 소화시험에서는 문의 열림과 닫힘 상태, 모두에서 화재가 잘 진압되는 것으로 나타났다. 동일 공간조건에서 CEP 가연물의 화재 시 개구부의 열림 상태에서는 화재가 진압되지 않았다. 개구부를 닫은 경우 화재는 진압되었지만, 일부 잔염이 확인되었다. 결론: 유류화재 진압실험에서 미분무수 소화설비가 개구부 열림과 닫힘 상황 모두에서 유효한 소화능력을 보여주었다. 하지만 CEP화재에 대해서는 닫힘 상태에서만 유효한 소화능력을 보여주었으며, 재 발화의 가능성이 있음이 나타났다.
