  • Nine novel compounds, namely, 2-(p-aminobenzenesulfonamideo)-6-sulfamylbenzothiozle, 2-benzamido-6-sulfamylbenzothiazole, 2-(p-toluenesulfonamide)-6-sulfamylbenzothiazole, 2-(3,5-dinitrobenzamido)-6-sulfamylbenzothiazole, 2-benzamido-6-nitrobenzothiazole, 2-(p-toluene-sulfonamido)-6-nitrobenzothiazole, 2-(3,5-dinitrobenzamido)-6-nitrobenzothiazole, 2-(p-toluenesulfonamido)-6-chlorobenzothiazole, 2-(3,5-dinitrobenzamido)-6-chlorobenzothiazole were synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus wood 46, $\betha$-Streptococcus S86, Escherichia coli and antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H$_{37}$ /Rv. 2-(p-Toluenesulfonamido)-6-chlorobenzothiazole showed antimicrobial activity at 25 $\mu$g/ml against $\betha$-Streptococcus S/86, 2-(3,5-Dinitrobenzamido)-6-sulfamylbenzothiazole was active at 5 $\mu$g/ml and 2-(3,5-dinitrobenzamido)-6-nitrobenzothiazole was consderably active at 1$\mu$g/ml against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H$_{37}$Rv.

  • Microgrid supplies loads with power interconnected grid. And it is defined a independent power system compounded micro sources over two devices which have enough capacity to operate independently, storage devices and loads. The energy sources of micro source have different dynamic characteristics corresponding to classes and application skills. However their transient responses are various from a few seconds to minutes. Therefore it is limitation for understanding operation characteristics of microsource modeling constant voltage source or constant current source. This paper shows that we designed EMTP/RV model of micro source which is microturbine based energy source. And we performed dynamic analysis of micro source corresponding to operation mode of microgrid.

  • In this paper, a comparative study on the frequency estimation methods using IRDWT (Improved Recursive Discrete Wavelet Transform), FRDWT(Fast Recursive Discrete Wavelet Transform), and GCDFT(Gain Compensator Discrete Fourier Transform) is presented. The 345[kV] power system modeling data of the Republic of Korea by EMTP-RV is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed two kinds of RDWT(IRDWT and FRDWT) and GCDFT. The simulation results show that the frequency estimation technique based on FRDWT could be the optimal frequency measurement method, and thus can be applied to FDR(Fault Disturbance Recorder) for wide-area blackout protection or frequency measurement apparatus.

Carbonyl thiourea 및 carbonyl thiosemicarbazide의 질소치환화합물의 합성 및 항결핵작용에 관한 연구 (Synthesis and antitubercular activity of the nitrogen substituents of carbonylthicureas and carbonylthiosemicarbazides)

  • Sixteen compounds of N-aroyl-N'-(4'-alkoxyphenyl) thiourea derivative, twenty one compounds of N-aeryl-N'(3'-hydroxy-4'-alkoxycar-bonylphenyl) thiourea derivative, three compounds of N-aeroyl-N'-.alpha.-naphthyiourea derivative and three compounds of N-cyanoacetyl-N'-aroyl thiosemicarbazide derivative were syntrhesized as potential antitubercular agent and were subjected to screening test for antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium turberculosis H/sub 37/Rv by tube dilution method in vitro. Of the fourty three eompounds, N-p-cyanobenzoyl-N'-(4'-iso-butoxyphenyl) thiourea, N-p-cyanobenzoyl-N'-(4-n-amoxyphenyl)thiourea, N-furoyl-N'-(3'-hydroxy-4'-ethoxycarbonylphenyl)thiourea, N-p-cyanobenzoyl-N'-(3'-hydroxy-4'-n-butoxycarbonylphenyl)thiourea, N-p-cyanobenzoyl-N'-(3'-hydroxy-4'-n-amoxycarbonylphenyl)thiourea, and N-5-nitrofuroyl-N'(3'-hydroxy-4"-n-amoxycarbonylphrnyl)thiourea showed the growth inhibition of M. tuberculosis H/sub 37/Rv at the coccentraction og 10.mu.g/ml, respectively.

토양으로부터 Myxobacteria의 분리 및 165 rDNA RFLP분석 (Isolation of Myxobacteria from Soil and RFLP Analysis of 16S rDNA Fragments.)

  • 토양 시료와 Coli-spot 한천평판 배지를 이용하여 myxobacteria를 분리하였다. 용균 현상이 관찰되는 Coli-spot 한천평판에서 myxobacteria의 swarm및 자실체 형성 여부를 확인하고, 확인된 자실체를 분리하여 VY/2 한천평판 배지에서 순수배양을 실시하였다. 분리 균주의 동정을 위하여 myxobacteria표준 균주 및 토양에서 분리한 균주들의 16S리보좀 DNA를 중합효소 연쇄 반응을 통해 증폭시킨 다음, 제한효소(HaeIII, EcoRI 및 EcoRV)로 절단하여 RFLP 양상을 비교하였다. 그 결과, 토양에서 분리한 균주들이 Family I, II, III의 myxobacteria에 속하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Oscillating Algol-type eclipsing binaries (oEA) are very interesting objects that have three observational features of eclipse, pulsation, and mass transfer. Direct measurement of their masses and radii from the double-lined radial velocity (RV) data and photometric light curves would be the most essential for understanding their evolutionary process and for performing the asteroseismological study. However, only handful oEA stars were studied in detail. To advance this subject, we have been obtaining high-resolution spectra for several oEA stars using Bohyunsan Optical Echelle Spectrograph (BOES). In this presentation, we present our results such as the accurate absolute parameters and evolutionary states for each object, based on the simultaneous analyses of the light and RV curves.

  • We report the results of search for exoplanets by a precise radial velocity (RV) survey by using the high-resolution spectroscopy of the fiber-fed Bohyunsan Observatory Echelle Spectrograph (BOES) at Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory (BOAO). Since 2003, we have conducted a precise RV survey for ~500 stars, including 55 K giants, ~200 G giants, 10 M giants, 40 K dwarfs, and ~200 northern circumpolar stars. We present the detection of around 20 new exoplanets and brown dwarfs.

  • A high temperature superconducting power cable (HTS power cable) was applied large current capacity by no resistance in normal state. Fault state was risen out of over-current but, it was limited to resistance. this study was modeling equivalence, and unbalanced state analyzed operating charateristics of HTS power cable. The equivalence model was composed superconductor, shield, and former part. This model simulation was appeared conductor and shield current in normal state, but fault state was appeared former current as rise current by resistance. so it need to sufficiently influenced the quench characteristic when the former design.
