모바일 장치는 제한된 화면과 인터페이스를 가지고 있는 특징이 있다. 따라서 기존의 웹페이지를 수정 없이 이용하는 것은 어려우며, 모바일 장치에 특화된 웹페이지를 제공해야 한다. RSS 는 웹사이트의 갱신정보를 전달하는 포맷 이므로, 다양한 특성을 가지는 가지는 모바일 장치에서 쉽게 이용이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는, 이동통신사에서 서비스 가능한 모바일 RSS 리더를 개발하기 위한 요구조건 및 실제 구현 사항을 제시하고 있다.

디지털 정보환경 하에서는 이용자가 정보를 찾아오기 기다리기 보다는 이용자를 찾아가 수요를 창출하고, 이용자의 취향에 맞춘 정보제공이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 연구장비정보의 효율적인 정보제공을 위해 푸시(push)와 풀(pull) 서비스를 통합한 맞춤정보 서비스 모델을 제시하고, RSS(Really Simple Syndication) 2.0과 Dublin Core Metadata Element Set 1.1을 참고하여 연구장비정보의 RSS-XML 메타데이터를 설계한 후, 풀(pull) 형태의 선택적 정보제공(SDI)시스템을 구현하여 이를 적용하였다.

As data broadcasting has become available, diverse contents can now be provided through digital TV, IPTV and DMB; yet it is true in the current situation that killer contents are insufficient that can satisfy users. On the contrary, in case of the web, with the advent of web 2.0 aiming at user-centered services, the contents market has grown greatly. The ideas and technologies of Web 2.0, if gratified into data broadcasting, are expected to make a contribution to the vitalization of contents. This paper proposes a method of using RSS, as a concrete example of applying web 2.0 to data broadcasting. Accordingly, we have developed a system for producing data services for the ground wave DMB data broadcasting, by using RSS at the stage of authoring news and the like, for which provision of the latest information is important. And for IPTV, we have developed a data broadcasting application so that users can select the RSS they want, as well as a creation system for using RSS at the authoring stage. It is anticipated that the application of RSS by means of the system will simplify the authoring process, making easy the provision of the latest information through the web, and thereby making possible the provision of diverse services to users.

Nowadays, wireless infrastructures such as sensor networks are widely used in many different areas. In case of sensor networks, the wirelessly connected sensors can execute different kind of tasks in a diversity of environments, and one of the most important parameter for a successful execution of such tasks is the location information of each node. As to localization problems in WSNs, there are ToA (Timer of Arrival), RSS (Received Signal Strength), AoA (Angle of Arrival), etc. In this paper, we propose a modification of existing ToA and RSS based methods, adding a weighted average scheme to measure more precisely the distance between nodes. The comparison experiments with the traditional ToA method show that the average error value of proposed method is reduced by 0.1 cm in indoor environment ($5m{\times}7m$) and 0.6cm in outdoor environment ($10{\times}10m$).

PubMed stands alone among database related to biomedical literature. On this thesis, PubMed meta-data at some point is collected and built. The service model which serve the dynamic RSS channel, one of the core services in an web2.0 era, is designed and developed. E-Utilities service(API) served by PubMed are analyzed. The meta-data aggregator and builder are developed. Also the dynamic RSS channel generator is developed and the method how it could be used in the RSS reader is suggested.

현대 사회는 정보의 홍수 시대로서, 날로 늘어나는 정보의 바다 속에 검색의 한계도 존재하며 사람들이 원하는 정보를 선별하는 능력이나 방법도 고도화 되어져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 교육용 문서에 적합한 카테고리를 가지고 있는 RSS에 대한 소개와 함께 RSS 리더를 설계하고 구현하고자 한다. RSS 신디케이션 포맷은 누구든지 코멘트, 뉴스 헤드라인, 최신기사에 대한 링크, 설명 그리고 이미지 등을 쉽게 공유할 수 있도록 해준다. 이러한 정보는 웹사이트뿐만 아니라 PDA, 핸드폰, 이메일 등에서도 자유롭게 볼 수 있다. 이러한 RSS 기술은 e-learning에서도 추후 변화를 가져다 줄 것으로 예상된다. 교수설계자가 설계한 학습단위의 완성을 위해 자료를 수집하여 초고와, 원고를 만들기 위해 교정, 교열을 하며, 디자이너를 통해 HTML 페이지를 만들던 기존의 프로세스를 대폭 간소화시켜 줄 수 있기 때문이다.

In the communication channel, the received signal is affected by many factors that can cause errors. These effects mean that received signal strength (RSS) based methods incur more errors in measuring distance and consequently result in low precision in the location detection process. As one of the approaches to overcome these problems, we propose using direction calibration to improve the performance of the RSS-based method for distance measurement, and sequentially a weighted least squares (WLS) method using reliability factors in conjunction with a conventional RSS weighting matrix is proposed to solve an over-determined localization process. The proposed scheme focuses on the features of the RSS method to improve the performance, and these effects are proved by the simulation results.

WiFi Fingerprinting기술의 측위 정확도에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 요인은 수신되는 신호세기(RSS)의 안정성이다. 하지만 실내 환경의 높은 복잡도로 인해 같은 위치에서도 RSS가 시간에 따라 변화하며 불안정하다. 이러한 RSS variance 문제를 해결 하기위한 다양한 연구들이 수행되었다. 하지만 기존 연구들의 경우 시스템의 복잡도가 증가하며, RSS가 급격히 변하는 경우에는 측위 성능을 보장 할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 특수한 구조를 갖는 Neural Network설계하고 이에 최적화된 입력 Feature고안하며 이를 통해 급격한 RSS 변화에서도 성능을 보장하는 WiFi Fingerprinting 알고리즘 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘과 기존 알고리즘을 동일한 조건에서 시뮬레이션을 통해 비교한 결과 제안하는 알고리즘이 급격한 RSS 변화에서 상대적으로 높은 측위 정확도 보여줌을 확인 할 수 있었다.

2008년 IPTV를 시작으로 IP망을 통한 서비스가 본격적으로 시작되었으나 VOD 전송에 있어 대부분의 서비스가 On-demand 형태로 원하는 것을 찾아가서 시청 및 다운로드 받는 형태였다. 시청자 편의와 네트워크의 효율적인 활용을 위해 RSS(Really Simple Syndication)를 활용하여 CE-HTML(Consumer Electronics-HTML)이 탑재된 DTV수신기에 VOD를 전송하는 방법을 소개한다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 전송 기술을 이용하여 시청자는 CE-HTML 브라우저로 RSS 주소를 다운받아 저장하고 삭제하며 DTV 수신기에 설치된 RSS Application 은 저장된 RSS 주소를 활용하여 주기적으로 VOD 데이터를 가져간다. 시청자는 자신이 원하는 VOD가 다운로드 되면 시청한다. 인터넷을 효율적으로 활용하여 DTV 수신기에 풍부한 VOD 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기술을 제안한다.

Wireless sensor network's value has increased greatly in recent years in the fields of Ubiquitous Computing that function as solution to reduce both the limitation and collision about RFID Technology. The research for wireless sensor network technology is proceeding with the research for various sensor nodes, powerful routing algorithms, securities for data transmission, and valid applications. This paper suggests that we make the new multi-hop routing algorithm using RSS in order to implement enhanced multi-hop routing algorithm. This paper should demonstrate that the routing algorithm using suggested RSS is superior to routing algorithm based on established BSDV(Destination Sequenced Distance Vector).
