A Rapid Prototyping Data Model for ISO 14649 (ISO 14649 표준을 위한 신속조형용 설계정보모델)

  • The primary goal of the study is to provide a newly refined data model, an information exchange foundation of modeling operation for rapid prototyping, as one among non-milling STEP-NC modules. The previous data model has been first modified and refined by reflecting specific user requirements. Second, subsidiary information such as fabrication history as well as traditional process information has been introduced into the newly refined model in order to consolidate the model functionality. In short, the main contribution of the study is to provide a foundation where a newly refined data model is utilized easily and conveniently for practical rapid prototyping fabrication within the newly constructed STEP-NC environment.

  • This paper verified error of STL file and presented a new application of reformed division method for reducing to appeared error by using Delaunay triangulation method that used to modify error of verified data. First, it is analyzed each vertices in hole error and classified follow case that is 1. case of plan or slope, 2. case of edge, 3. case of apex and 4. case of rapid curve, and reduced volume tolerance between original model and converted model after convert STL file.

  • In this paper we introduce Kernel Fisher Discriminant Analysis (KFDA) to transform our database of received signal strength (RSS) measurements into a smaller dimension space to maximize the difference between reference points (RP) as possible. By KFDA, we can efficiently utilize RSS data than other method so that we can achieve a better performance.

  • STEP is a neutral model for exchanging CAD modelbetween different CAD systms. The paper presents a laser path contour generation for rapid prototyping originated form STEP format files without using any tools nor libraries for STEP data manipulation. Polygons are generated from every point on the layer of given thickness, which are the intersections of layer plane and edges stored in entity tables. Curves are approximated with polygons whitin segment tolerance limit in order to cover sculptured surfaces. With the advantage of less data loss in direct slicing over STL formats, the system developed in this work shows a good potential to provide data share with various CAD systems including RP data preparation.

  • In this study, we have developed the stereolithography system that supports the development of a products. This paper presents the development of the stereolithography system. The system is composed of hardware, software and control part. The software converts a STL file to NC data and displays the monitoring figure in control part. The hardware part deals with structure of machine. The most important theme in this paper is LG-SLCAM software. This software can generate NC data and scanning condition data from a STL file semiautimatically. On the basis of three diensional shapes, it makes data for support structure from STL file. The effectiveness of using out stereolithography system is confirmed by processes of good development.

  • In the Stereolithography process, three-dimensional objects are built by sequentially curing, generated by horizontal slicing of a three-dimensional CAD model. The dimensional accuracy of a menufactured part depends on the accuracy of curing performed by laser beam radius and the half of curing width. When offsetting, some slices have collinear segments, coincident vertices, line jerks and open loops. After remove above issues we have correct offsets data. And in last step, these data are used to scan paths.

The Chemical Constituents of the Stem Barks of Fraxinus rhynchophylla (물푸레나무(Fraxinus rhynchophylla) 수피의 추출성분)

  • The stem barks of Fraxinus rhynchophylla was extracted with 95% EtOH, and the concentrated extract was successively partitioned with $CH_2Cl_2$, n-BuOH, and $H_2O$ in order to investigate the major phytochemicals. From the $CH_2Cl_2$ soluble fraction, a sterol (1) was isolated through the repeated silica gel column chromatographies. Three additional compounds (2-4) were isolated from the n-BuOH soluble fraction through silica gel, RP-18, and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatographies. Their chemical structures were elucidated as daucosterol $(1;{\beta}-sitosterol-3-O-{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside)$, caffeic acid (2), 6,8-dihydroxy-7-methoxycoumarin (3), and coniferaldehyde glucoside (4) by comparing their spectral data with those in the literatures. All isolates (1-4) were the first to be isolated from F. rhynchophylla.

  • GNSS PWV (Precipitable Water Vapor) is recognized as an important factor for weather forecasts of typhoons and heavy rainfall. Domestic and foreign research have been published that improve weather forecasts using GNSS PWV as initial input data to NWP (Numerical Weather Prediction) model. For rainfall-related weather forecasts, PWV should be provided in real time or NRT (Near-Real Time) and the accuracy and integrity should be maintained. In this paper, the development process of NRT GNSS PWV system using PPP (Precise Point Positioning). To this end, we optimized the variables related to tropospheric delay estimation of PPP. For the analysis of the PPP NRT PWV system, we compared the PWV precision of RP (Relative Positioning) and PPP. As a result, the accuracy of PPP was lower than that of RP, but good results were obtained in the PWV data integrity. Future research is needed to improve the precision of PWV in the PPP method.

  • A diversity of railway network function enhancement projects such as the double tracking, electrification, and direct operation have been actively executed to improve the railway service. When the new rapid railway is provided, how many people will use it instead of other transports? How will the railway choice behavior be changed? Accordingly, in this paper, the applicability of diverted travel demand forecast method by Stated Preference(SP) and Transfer Price(TP) data was reviewed for Daegu metropolitan railway service. As the result of implementing the Revealed Preference(RP) and RP+SP model, the total travel time and travel cost parameters are of the right sign and are highly significant. In particular, when TP data is used as the complementary investigation of SP, the boundary value of diverted travel demand can be easily identified by railway fare and travel time service level. Therefore, it is considered that this will practically apply even in other regions as well as Daegu metropolitan railway.

  • Rapid Prototyping(RP) technologies provide the ability to fabricate initial prototypes from various model materials. Stratasys' Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM) is a typical RP process that can fabricate prototypes out of plastic materials, and the parts made from FDM were often used as load-carrying elements. Because FDM deposits materials in about 300$\mu$m thin filament with designated orientation, parts made from FDM show anisotropic material properties. In this paper an analytic model was proposed to predict the tensile strength of FDM parts. Applying the Classical Lamination Theory, which was developed for laminated composite materials, a computer code was implemented. Tsai-Wu failure criterion was added to the code to predict the failure of the FDM parts. The tensile strengths predicted by the analytic model were compared with experimental data. The data and prediction agreed reasonably well to prove the validity of the model. In addition, a web-based advisory service(FDMAS) was developed to provide strength prediction and design rules for FDM parts.
