Studies on Performance of CO2 Water Heater by Numerical Modeling (수치적 모델링을 통한 이산화탄소 급탕기의 특성 연구)

  • Numerical modeling of $CO_2$ water heater was conducted prior to optimal design of medium and large sized $CO_2$ water heater, and the experimental test with small sized $CO_2$ water heater having heat capacity of 4 kW was completed to verify the present numerical model. The present model estimated the experimental data of COP(coefficient of performance), heating capacity, and the hot water outlet temperature within the range of 3% to 8% of mean deviation. As increase of EEV(electric expansion valve) opening area, decreasing of heating capacity and the hot water outlet temperature, and increasing of COP were found in both experimental and numerical investigation.

  • 본 연구에서는 실내 내장재료 많이 사용되고 있는 벽지를 대상으로 선정하여 연소특성을 고찰하고자 콘 칼로리미터, 연기밀도 시험기, 발화점 시험기, 산소지수 시험기를 이용하여 각각의 발열성, 발연성, 착화성, 난연성을 측정하였다. 벽지의 발열특성은 기능성 벽지인 쑥벽지와 특정벽지인 질석벽지가 다른 벽지에 비해 많은 열을 방출하는 것으로 나타났으며, 방염벽지의 연기밀도가 130.8로 가장 높은 값을 나타냈다. 질석벽지는 61초에 착화가 되어 다른 벽지에 비해 착화시간이 최소 4배 이상 늦게 착화가 되었으며, 발화온도 또한 270.8$^{\circ}C$로 높게 나타났다. 산소지수측정 범위는 18.9${\sim}$23.2%의 값으로 공기 중의 산소농도와 비슷한 범위인 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Proposal to Revise the Screening Test for Latent Tuberculosis Infection in Close Contacts at Elementary Schools in Korea

  • The 2018 National Guideline for Tuberculosis Control, which was published by the Korea Centers for Diseases Prevention and Control (KCDC), mandates conducting an epidemiological survey among close contacts of active tuberculosis patients at public institutions such as schools. In the procedure for these surveys, the tuberculin skin test (TST) is mandated as the screening test for latent tuberculosis infection in elementary school students. However, several guidelines recommend using the interferon-gamma releasing assay (IGRA) for contacts aged over 5 years with a Bacillus Calmette-$Gu{\acute{e}}rin$ vaccination history. The main reason for this is that IGRA has a higher specificity and lower false positive rate than TST. In addition, IGRA requires only a single visit to draw blood and the results are available within 24 hours. These advantages could promote cooperation from both parents and students in conducting these surveys. Thus, these findings regarding the benefits of IGRA for surveys of close contacts at elementary schools should be incorporated into the KCDC guideline.

  • 재난 상황 발생 시 정보 습득이 어려워 시각장애인의 경우 초동대응 시간을 놓치게 된다. 특히나 화재사고 사상자 중 사망자 비중이 장애인은 비장애인에 비해 약 4 배 ~ 5 배 더 높으며 현재까지도 사상자가 발생하여 중요한 사회문제로 논의되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 스마트 대피 시스템의 한계점을 살펴보고 한계점을 개선할 수 있는 대안을 제시한다. 초동 시간 내에 사회복지사와 소방관이 사용자의 실시간 위치와 정보를 파악해 신고를 유도함과 동시에 자력 대피가 가능하도록 최적 대피 경로를 능동적으로 결정하여 안내방송을 출력하는 시스템을 소개한다.

  • 컨테이너 오케스트레이션 도구로 쿠버네티스가 가장 많이 사용되고 있으며, 관련 취약점 연구는 DevSecOps 관점에서 4C layer로 분류된 클라우드 보안 계층 중, 클러스터 및 코드 계층에 초점이 맞춰져 왔다. 반면에 클러스터 계층에도 네트워크 정책, 인증 제어, 권한 설정 및 매개변수 설정에 관한 취약점이 존재한다. 이에 본 논문은 취약점을 분석하여 OWASP 10과 접목하여 분류한 뒤 예방법을 제시함으로써 앞으로의 안전한 클러스터 계층 구축에 기여하고자 한다.

  • The rate equations for the nucleophilic addition reactions of n-propyl- and tert-buryl mercaptan to 3,4-methylenedioxy-$\beta$-nitrostyrene over wide pH range were obtained. From this equations, the rate constants for n-propyl-and tert-butylmercaptide ions at high pH were obtained numerically as $1.26{\times}10^8$ and $3.98{\times}10^6\;M^{-2},\;sec^{-1}$, and for n-propyl- and tert-butyl mercaptan at low pH, $7.07{\times}10^{-3}$ and $1.5{\times}10^3\;M^{-1},\;sec^{-1}$ respectively.

  • In order to attempt the quantitative correlation of nucleophilic addition(not nucleopbilic substitution) reactivity of nucleophile, the addition constants of ethyl and isopropyl mercaptan to 3,4-methylenedioxy-$\beta$-nitrostyrene were determined and found to be $6.82{\times}10^7 $ and $2.86{\times}10^7 M^{-2},\;sec^{-1}$ respectively. From the rate equation obtained, the addition mechanism at basic media especially the complex addition mechanism at acidic media which has not been revealed can also be fully explained.

  • ${\beta}-Lactamase$ was isolated from the culture filtrate of the penicillin producing strain, Penicillium chrysogenum Q176. When the pH of the medium was adjusted to 5.0 at the start of culture, a rapid increase in pH accompanied by the synthesis of penicillin was observed in the first $2{\sim}4$ days. When the pH of medium was brought to 6.0 or 7.0 the opposite was observed: high yield of the enzyme and little of the antibiotics in the medium. The optimum enzyme activi­ty was at a temperature of $40^{\circ}C$ and around pH 7.0. A partially purified enzyme was assayed on several different substrates including penicillins V and G, 6-aminopenicillanic acid, cephalospo­rin C. The V max values calculated were 24.5, 20.4, 7.6, and 6.1 mmoles/hour, and the $K_m$, values were 16.4, 12.6, 7.5, and 6.9 mM in the order given.

  • 플라비바이러스(Flavivirus)는 모기와 같은 곤충을 매개로 하여 인체에 감염된다고 잘 알려져 있다. 그 대표적인 예로 지카 바이러스(Zika virus), 뎅기 바이러스(Dengue virus), 황열 바이러스(Yellow fever virus), 일본 뇌염 바이러스(Japanese encephalitis virus) 등을 들 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 생물정보학을 기반으로 인체 감염 주요 플라비바이러스인 지카 바이러스, 뎅기 바이러스. 황열 바이러스, 일본 뇌염 바이러스의 총 4종류 플라비바이러스에 공통적으로 적용 가능한 펩타이드 백신 후보를 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 UniProt (The Universal Protein Resource)의 유전자 서열정보를 이용하여 4종류의 바이러스가 가진 단백질 중 백신으로써 적합한 단백질을 선정하였다. 선정된 단백질의 아미노산 서열정보를 바탕으로 IEDB (Immune Epitope Database And Analysis Resource)를 활용한 에피토프(epitope) 분석을 통해 에피토프로 작용하는 4 종류 바이러스의 공통적인 서열을 도출하였다.

Somatometric Characteristics of Elementary School Boys by Regional Differences (지역차에 따른 학령기 남아의 체형특성 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the somatometric characteristics obtained from the factor scores of both upper and lower body by regional differences. The sample group was drawn from boys at the ages 7 to 12 living in Pusan and Kyungsangnam-do. Data from each boy comprised 57 anthropometric measurements and 11 photographic measurements. The study reached following conclusions. 1. According to the result of factor analysis, five indicative factor's were obtained from the upper body measurements and four indicative factors were obtained from the lower body measurements. 2. According to the comparision of factor scores on measurements of the upper body between Pusan and Kyungsangnam-do, there were differences in all five factors. Boys in Pusan had higher stature, bigger frame, more protruded chest and shoulder blades, more sloping curve along with the backbone, more protruded belly, narrower and sloping shoulders than boys in Kyungsangnam-do. 4. According to the comparision of factor scores on measurements of the lower body between Pusan and Kyungsangnam-do, there were differences in factor 1 and factor 4. Boys in Pusan had bigger frame and flatter hip than boys in Kyungsangnam-do.
