RI-Biomics분야 RI의 최신 동향 분석 (Analysis of the Latest Trends of Radioisotope Using in RI-Biomics Fields)

  • RI-Biomics is a new compound word of radiation technology and Biomics related to the study of life. RI-Biomics is high radiation fusion technology by combining evaluation of pharmacokinetics in vivo (RI-ADME) of new drugs and medical materials using radioisotope and molecular imaging technology using nuclear medicine equipments. RI-Biomics fields are emerging with the increasing usage of radioisotopes (RI). In this paper, we investigated the latest trends of radioisotope using in RI-Biomics fields. The representative radioisotopes are $^{14}C$, $^3H$ and $^{32}P$ for the optimization and the selection of candidates in the development process of new drugs among the RI-Biomics fields. As shown in the status of accumulated income of radioisotopes, using amounts of radioisotopes are showing a tendency to increase every year. $^{14}C$ is 61.6% increase of accumulated income growth rate and $^3H$ increased by 58.8% and $^{32}P$ increased by 33.9% in 2012 compared to 2007. These isotopes are used in a variety of fields as using of $^{14}C$ for microdosing test, development of [$^3H$]cholesterol absorption inhibitors, study of [$^{131}I$]pyronaridine tetraphosphate for malaria therapy. These are going on in vivo test sucessfully. So, clinical research step is expected to begin soon. Therefore, usages of radioisotopes are necessary and need for the evaluation of pharmacokinetics, optimization and the selection of new drug candidates in the development process of new drugs among the RI-Biomics fields. So, using of radioisotopes is predict to increase continuously except for primarily used $^{14}C$, $^3H$.

도로 기하구조에 따른 차량 Microphone 위치별 소음 영향 분석 (Analysis of Vehicle Noise Effect by Microphone Position and Road Geometry)

  • PURPOSES: The purpose of study is to understand the characteristic of driving noise from the front and rear tire for effective active noise cancellation application. METHODS : As literature review, noise measurement methods were reviewed. Noise measurement conducted at three kind of section by road slope using CPX(Close Proximity Method). Noise data was compared by total sound pressure level and 1/3 octave band frequency sound pressure level. Also, each section was compared by T-test using SPSS. RESULTS : In the case of the uphill section, it was shown that the sound pressure level of the front tire at Sugwang-Ri and Sinchon-RI sections was higher than that of the rear tire in low and high frequency band. In the case of high slope section of Sangsaek-Ri, the sound pressure level of the front tire was higher than that of the rear tire in high frequency. Also, in the case of the downhill section, it was shown that the sound pressure level of the front tire at Sugwang-Ri and Sinchon-RI sections was higher than that of the rear tire in low frequency band. However, the sound pressure levels of both the front and rear tires were approximately the same in the high slope section of Sangsaek-Ri. The result of T-test showed that total sound pressures of the front and rear tires were not different from each other in the case of high slope and high speed. CONCLUSIONS: Road slope was not an important variable for effective active noise cancellation.

  • 현재 국내에서 사용중인 흙의 다짐관리 방법에는 실험실내에서 시행하는 흙의 다짐 시험 (KSF 2312)과 함수량시험(KSF 2306), 현장에서 모래치환법에 의한 흙의 단위중량 시험 방법 (KSF 2311)이 었다. 이러한 시험방법들은 소요시간이 길고 작업이 번잡하므로 최근과 같이 빠른 사공속도가 요구되는 대규모 토공관리에는 부적합하며 측정자의 개인오차 등으로 인한 신뢰성도 낮다. 최근 대부분의 외국에서는 방사성 동위원소(RI)를 이용한 흙의 밀도/함수량 측정계기를 성토시공관리에 이용하고 있으나 국내에서는 이에 대한 기초연구의 부족 등의 이유로 건설분야에서의 RI계기 이용이 제한되어 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 토질 기술자들에게 RI계기를 소개하고 RI계기를 보다 효율적이고 안전하게 사용할 수 있도록 RI계기에 대한 기초연구를 실시하였다. 이를 위해 우선적으로 RI계기의 검증연구와 현장 적용성에 대한 검토를 실시한 후, 국내 토질에 적합한 교정식을 도출하였다.

구름 검출 성능에 따른 Landmark 정합 정밀도 분석 (Landmark Matching Tests : Sensitivity to Cloud Detection Performance)

  • 구름 검출 시 사용되는 인자들에 따른 Landmark 정합의 정밀도 변화를 추정하기 위한 시험을 수행하였다. 본 시험을 위해서 MTSAT-1R의 7개 영상을 이용하였으며, Landmark 정합의 정밀도는 대략 0.1 화소 이하로 추정됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 일반적으로 수심측량은 해저면의 수심을 측량하는 방법이다. 해도상에 표시되는 모든 수심은 200Khz 주파수를 사용하는 에코사운더를 사용하여 측정된다. 이 연구에서는 부니층의 두께조사를 위해 이중 주파수인 33Khz와 200Khz를 사용하였다. 준설구역상에 부니층의 물량을 조사하는 방법을 알게 되며 부니층의 유무에 대한 검증을 위해 RI 테스트가 측량 후에 수행된다.

  • Accelerated aging of engine exhaust system components such as catalytic converters are traditionally performed using an engine/dynamometer test stand. $SwRI^{(R)}'s\;FOCAS^{(R)}$ system reduces or eliminates many of the engine based aging limitations. This paper will describe several studies. These include: 1) replication of engine based catalyst aging cycles with added precision and dependability; 2) catalyst aging with and without lubricating oil effects; 3) effects of lubricant phosphorus on catalyst performance; and 4) the potential to thermally age components beyond the capabilities of engine based systems. The first study includes the development of the SwRI FOCAS system to run programmed aging conditions with or without lubricating oil. A description of the subsystems is given. The second two studies used the SwRI FOCAS system to age catalysts. One study compared thermal-only aging using of the SwRI FOCAS system with equivalent aging on a traditional engine/dynamometer test stand. The other study examined the effect on catalyst performance of two lubricating oils containing different levels of phosphorus, and compared the results to field data generated using the same oils in a fleet of vehicles.

  • The UPS for power plant is mainly used as the critical power supply of power plant. This is very much alike to the general UPS but it requires the special design criteria of power plant. In this study, we designed and develope system according to the design criteria of p plant. In the development of the special system, the designs of IGBT Drive, heat protection and monitoring system, and p components are key techniques. This Paper describes the power circuits, key techniques, the control and monitoring of the developed UPS(DC 125V $3{\Phi}$ 100K Finally, using the UPS we verified superiority through the type test.

방조제 전면 해안침식 방지를 위한 수제공 설치 방안 수리모형실험 (Hydraulic scale model test on design of groin to protect coast against erosion)

  • A hydraulic scale model test with movable bed was performed to obtain design data for groins to protect the coast in front of the Sang-ri seadike in Sukmodo, located in the Han-river estuary area. The vertical scale of the model is 1/100 and the horizontal scale 1/250 according to Froude similitude. The result of test for original coast and groins showed that the coast in front of the Sang-ri seadike was eroded by tidal current. Three alternatives for the planning of new groins were tested. It is concluded that the alternative B-3 test scheme was the best plan to protect the coast among others.

  • 기초과학연구원 중이온가속기구축사업단에서는 희귀동위원소(Rare Isotopes, RI) 빔의 생성 및 분리를 위한 ISOL(Isotope Separation On Line) 시스템의 설치 및 성능시험이 진행 중에 있다. ISOL 표적/이온원에서 생성된 다양한 RI 빔은 빔 전송장치 및 분리 장치를 거쳐 사용자가 원하는 RI 빔만 선별되어 ISOL 후단의 초전도 선형가속기로 전송된다. ISOL 시스템에서는 특정 RI 빔을 분리하기 위해 두 개의 분리 장치가 설치되어 있으며 EPICS(Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System)에 의해 제어가 이루어진다. 본 연구에서는 ISOL RI 빔 분리 장치 중 하나인 A/Q 분리기에서 다가(n+) RI 빔의 질량선별을 위해 이극자석의 자기장을 측정하기 위한 EPICS IOC(Input-Output Control)를 개발하였으며, 홀 프로브(Hall Probe)를 이용한 자기장 측정 실험을 통해 A/Q 분리기의 운전 안정성에 대해 평가하였다.

  • Pulse Doppler ultrasonographic evaluation was performed to investigate the resistive index (RI) of the Interlobar renal artery in 17 dogs (32 kidneys) which were diagnosed with an acute renal failure caused by ochratoxin-A and citrinin contaminated commercial diet. RI was investigated in 7 normal beagle dogs and recovered patients. The mean of RI was resulted as $0.69{\pm}0.04$ in normal dog, however, significantly (p<0.001) increased as $0.76{\pm}0.05$ in renal failure dog. But RI had no relationship with the results of blood chemistry, urine analysis, and excretory urographic image quality. From these results, even though the results of the renal function test were within a normal reference range, it was considered that RI index is more reliable to represent a damaged renal parenchyma, and may have the potential to be a useful clinical tool in monitoring of the renal function.
