A 1.25Gb/s Burst-mode Optical Transmitter with Digitally Controlled APC (디지털 제어 방식의 APC 기능을 갖는 1.25Gb/s 버스트-모드 광 송신기)

  • In this paper, we proposed a new burst-mode optical transmitter structure which is suitable for high data rate operation such as Gb/s operation. With this structure we made a 1.25Gb/s burst-mode optical transmitter including a digitally controlled APC circuit for EPON systems using commercial 0.8m BiCMOS technology. It well functioned at 1.25Gb/s and showed good eye patterns with 53.3ps jitter, 191ps rise time and 258ps fall time. To characterize the APC function we measured optical output power as increasing external voltage VREF. The optical power is linearlyproportional to VREF at the rate of 0.293mW/V.

  • The characteristic of sheet metal process is the few loss of material during process, the short processing time and the excellent price and strength. The sheet metal process with above characteristic is common used in industrial field, but in order to analysis irregular field problems the reliable and economical analysis method is demanded. Finite element method is very effective method to simulate the forming processes with good prediction of the deformation behaviour. Among Finite element method, The static-implicit finite element method is applied effectively to analyze real-size auto-body panel stamping processes, which include the forming stage. In this paper, it was focussed on the drawability factors on auto-body panel stamping by AUTOFORM with using tool planing alloy to reduce law price as well as high precision from Design Optimization of ide. According to this study, the results of simulation will give engineers good information to access the Design Optimization of die.

An Empirical Correlation for Subcooled Two-Phase Critical Flow Rates in Short Tubes, Nozzles, and Orifices

  • Critical two-phase flow rates of subcooled water through very short tube (L=20 mm) with small diameters (D=1.0 mm) has been measured for wide ranges of subcooling(0~186$^{\circ}C$) and pressure (0.5~2.0 MPa). Experimental results show that subcooled critical two-phase flow rates can be expressed in terms of two scaling parameters for geometries and initial conditions. They are discharge coefficient of cold water, ( $C_{d}$ )$_{ref}$, and dimensionless subcooling, $\Delta$ $T^{*}$$_{sub}$, respectively. A new empirical correlation expressed in terms of ( $C_{d}$ )$_{ref}$ and $\Delta$ $T^{*}$$_{sub}$ is obtained for subcooled two-phase flow rates through very short length tube. Comparisons between the mass fluxes calculated by Present correlation and a number of experimental data show that the agreement is very good.ood.ood.ood.

  • As a Korean national institute, KISTI has assigned and deposited DOIs to use Korean journals internationally as well as to enlarge the citation all over the world. In addition, KISTI has provided the service, Cited-by linking, which is to identify the citation among journals. In the paper, we would like to propose the way to expand the citation, finding the result of citation by using Cited-by linking based on DOIs in CrossRef for Scientific and technical journals deposited by KISTI.

  • In evaluation of electronic reliability on the PCB(Printed Circuit Board), electrochemical migration is one of main test objects. The phenomenon of electrochemical migration occurs In the environment of the high humidity and the high temperature under bias through a continuous aqueous electrolyte. In this paper, the generating mechanism of electrochemical migration is investigated by using water droll acceleration test under various waters. The waters used in the water drop test are city water, distilled water and ionic water. It found that the generated velocity of electrochemical migration depended on the temperature of water and the electrolyte quantity which included in the various waters.

SEMI-ANALYTIC MODELS FOR ELECTRON ACCELERATION IN WEAK ICM SHOCKS

  • We propose semi-analytic models for the electron momentum distribution in weak shocks that accounts for both in situ acceleration and re-acceleration through diffusive shock acceleration (DSA). In the former case, a small fraction of incoming electrons is assumed to be reflected at the shock ramp and pre-accelerated to the so-called injection momentum, pinj, above which particles can diffuse across the shock transition and participate in the DSA process. This leads to the DSA power-law distribution extending from the smallest momentum of reflected electrons, pref, all the way to the cutoff momentum, peq, constrained by radiative cooling. In the latter case, fossil electrons, specified by a power-law spectrum with a cutoff, are assumed to be re-accelerated from pref up to peq via DSA. We show that, in the in situ acceleration model, the amplitude of radio synchrotron emission depends strongly on the shock Mach number, whereas it varies rather weakly in the re-acceleration model. Considering the rather turbulent nature of shocks in the intracluster medium, such extreme dependence for the in situ acceleration might not be compatible with the relatively smooth surface brightness of observed radio relics.

  • This paper proposes an optimized classifier based on feature elimination (OCFE) for gene selection with combining two feature elimination methods, ReliefF and SVM-RFE. ReliefF algorithm is filter feature selection which rank the data by the importance of the data. SVM-RFE algorithm is a wrapper feature selection which wrapped the data and rank the data based on the weight of feature. With combining these two methods we get less error rate average, 0.3016138 for OCFE and 0.3096779 for SVM-RFE. The proposed method also get better accuracy with 70% for OCFE and 69% for SVM-RFE.

  • An ECU(Electronic Control Unit) with 16 bit microcomputer has been developed. This system includes hardware and software for more precise control on fuel injection, ignition timing, and idle speed. This control system employs an air flow sensor of the hot wire type, a direct ignition system, an idle speed control system using a solenoid valve, and a crank angle sensor. Especially, the crank angle sensor provides two separate signals: One is the position signal(POS) which indicates 180 degree pulses per revolution, and the other is the reference signla(REF) that represents each cylinder individually. The conventional engine control system requires at least two engine revolutions in order to identify the cylinder number. However, the developed engine control system can recognize the cylinder number within a quarter of an engine revolution. Therfore, the developed engine control system has been able to control fuel injection and ignition timing more quickly and accurately, Furthermore, the number of misfire reduces during the cold start.
