REA를 고려한 Lineament density map의 작성 방안 연구

  • Lineament density maps can be used for the quantitative evaluation of relationship between lineaments and groundwater occurrence. There are several kinds of lineament density maps including lineament length density, lineament cross-points density, and lineament counts density maps. This paper reports the usefulness of the representative elementary area (REA) concept for lineament analysis. This concept refers to the area size of the unit circle to calculate the lineament density factors distributed within the circle: length, counts and cross-points counts. The circle is a unit circle that calculates the sum of the lineament length, lineament counts and the number of cross-points within it. The REA is needed to obtain the best representative lineament density map prior to the analysis of relation between lineaments and groundwater well yield or other groundwater characteristics. A basic lineament map for the Yongsangang-Seomjingang watershed of Korea, drawn from aerial black-and-white photographs of 1/20, 000 scale was used for demonstrating the concept. From this study, the conclusions were as follows: (1) the REA concept can be efficiently applied to the lineament density analysis and mapping, (2) for whole Yongsangang-Seomjingang watershed which has 6, 502 lineaments with an average lineament length of 3.3 km, the lower limits of each REA used for drawing the three density maps were about 1.77 $\textrm{km}^2$ (r=750 m) for lineament length density, 7.07 $\textrm{km}^2$ (r=1, 500 m) for lineament counts density, and 4.91 $\textrm{km}^2$ (r=1, 250 m) for lineament cross-points density, respectively, (3) the lineament densities are inversely proportional to the size of REA, and the REA can be calculated with this inversely linear regression model, (4) if the average lineament density values for the whole study area are known, the most accurate density maps can be drawn using the REAs obtained from each linear regression model, and (5) but critical attention should be paid to draw lineament counts density and lineament cross-points density maps because.

THRUSTER PERFORMANCE ESTIMATI0N OF KOREASAT F1 & F2 (추적데이터를 이용한 무궁화위성 1, 2호기 추력기 성능추정)

  • This paper presents the REA thrusters performance estimation results for the KOREASAT F1&F2 launched in 1995 The satellite tracking data obtained from the ground system from end of 1999 to beginning of the 2000 are used to estimate the thruster performance. The estimation algorithm is derived from the least square estimation theory and designed to estimate the velocity change induced by the on-boarded thruster firing as well as the orbit parameter. The estimation results show that the Koreasat F1 thruster are in bad thruster condition of 64% performance for REA when it fires in on-pulse mode. Here, the performance is defined by the ratio of the resulted velocity change to that of planned. But, in the case o( the Koreasat F2, it is found that the performance approximately reaches up to 100%, even after the 5 years of the mission.

  • 미래의 기후변화 영향평가에 있어 전지구모형(General Circulation Model)은 가장 중요한 자료 중 하나이다. 즉, 온실가스 방출(emission) 시나리오에 기초한 전지구모형의 모의결과를 이용하면 미래 수자원에 대한 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 하지만 미래 수자원은 방출 시나리오, 상세화(downscaling) 기법, 강우-유출모형, 전지구모형의 종류에 따라 크게 달라질 수 있어 매우 큰 불확실성(uncertainty)을 포함하고 있다. 이러한 불확실성을 줄이는 방법 중 하나로 전지구모형의 모의능력에 따라 가중치(weight)를 부여하고 결합(combining)하는 multi-model 앙상블(ensemble) 기법이 선진국을 중심으로 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 우선 기후변화 영향평가를 위하여 국내에서 사용가능한 전지구모형을 조사하고 그 중CCSM3, CSRIO, ECHAM4, GFDL, MIRCO를 선택하였다. 한강 충주댐 유역에 대하여 과거($1980{\sim}1999$년)와 미래($2030{\sim}2049$년) 기간에 대하여 전지구모형의 기후정보를 간단한 선형보간법을 이용하여 상세화하였다. 다음으로 multi-model 앙상블 기법을 조사하였다. 본 연구에서는 Giorgi et al.(2002)이 제안한 Reliability Ensemble Average(REA) 기법을 적용하여 선형보간법으로 상세화한 전지구모형의 모의결과에 가중치를 주어 불확실성을 줄이는 연구를 수행하였다. 특히 REA를 구성하는 식 중 모형의 편차(bias) 뿐만 아니라 분산(variance)까지 고려함으로서 이를 개선하는 Modified-REA를 제안하였다. 제안한 방안을 이용하여 결합한 전지구모형의 모의결과가 기존 REA의 결과보다 기후정보의 불확실성을 더 줄일 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • REA (Restricted Entity Aspect) model is a knowledge representation model to classify the aspect type, the EA model component, into five aspects (IS-A-aspect, A-PART-OF aspect, attribute aspect, role aspect, and operation aspect). EATPS, the knowledge representation system, consists of user interface module, knowledge creation module, instance management module, schema management module, and integrity checking module. EATPS creates and manages interactively REA model based knowledge base. This paper shows the structure and functions of EATPS, the design and interactive construction of the knowledge definition language EAKDL, the functions and algorithm of class creation module, and the functions and algorithm of instance creation module to include inheritance inference mechanism.

  • To elucidate the molecular genetical properties of the canine parvoviruses isolated from the diseased puppies in the regions of Kyunggi and Chungnam provinces, the replicative form (RF) DNA of four field isolates were compared with those of two attenuated vaccine strains and a reference strains of CPV by restriction endonuclease analysis (REA). REA by Hinf I showed that three CPV isolates except CPV-V15 had an identical banding pattern with two vaccine strains, one standard strain and feline panleukopenia virus (FPLV). In CPV-V15 strain the fourth fragment of DNA with 800 bp was deleted. REA by Bgl II and Pst I indicated that CPV-V15 and FPLV had a bigger second fragment than those of the other strains of CPV. Meanwhile REA by Bam HI revealed that all the field isolates and vaccine strains used in this experiment showed similar banding patterns.

  • Recently, frequency offset estimation method for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing has been proposed by Ren et al. (REA). The method can estimate an frequency offset independently from training symbol structure. In REA method, however, the detection probability of integer frequency offset is varying according to fractional frequency offset. In this paper, we first analysis REA frequency offset estimation method, and define new detection criteria suitable for the method. Then, we propose efficient integer frequency offset estimation method based on the new detection criteria and maximum likelihood method. The proposed method still has the advantages of REA method, while overcome the drawback. The numerical results demonstrate that the proposed methods outperform the REA method, in terms of integer frequency offset detection probability.

Genetic Models for Carcass Traits with Different Slaughter Endpoints in Selected Hanwoo Herds I. Linear Covariance Models

  • Carcass characteristics data of Hanwoo (N = 1,084) were collected from two stations of the National Livestock Institute of Animal Science (NIAS), Korea and records from thirteen individual cow-calf operators were analyzed to estimate variance and covariance components and the effect of different slaughter endpoints. Carcass traits analyzed were cold carcass weight (CWT, kg), REA (rib eye area, cm2), back fat thickness (mm) and marbling score (1-7). Four different models were examined. All models included sex and contemporary group as fixed effects and the animal's direct genetic potential and environment as random effects. The first model fitted a linear covariate of age at slaughter. The second model fitted both linear and quadratic covariates of age at slaughter. The third model fitted a linear covariate of body weight at slaughter. The fourth model fitted both linear covariates of age at slaughter and body weight at slaughter. Variance components were estimated using the REML procedure with Gibb's sampler. Heritability estimate of CWT was in the range of 0.08-0.11 depending on the model applied. Heritability estimates of BF, REA and MS were in the ranges of 0.23-0.28, 0.19-0.26, and 0.44-0.45, respectively. Genetic correlations between CWT and BF, between CWT and REA, and between CWT and MS were in the ranges of -0.33 - -0.14, 0.73-0.84, and -0.01- 0.11, respectively. Genetic correlations between REA and BF, between MS and BF and between REA and MS were in the ranges of -0.82 ~ -0.72, 0.04~0.28 and -0.08 ~ -0.02, respectively. Variance and covariance components estimated varied by model with different slaughter endpoints. Body weight endpoint was more effective for direct selection in favor of yield traits and body weight endpoints affected more of the correlated response to selection for the traits of yield and quality of edible portion of beef.

  • 이 논문은 영어 문장에서 대명사의 참조해소 시스템을 구현한다. 대명사는 문장에서 반복되는 말 대신에 사용하는 단어이다. 반복되는 말을 선행어라고 하며 대명사는 선행어보다 간결한 형식으로 사용된다. 정보검색이나 정보추출에서 대명사를 그대로 색인하여 검색하면 정확한 정보를 추출할 수 없다. 따라서 대용어가 가리키는 개체를 정확히 파악해서 이 정보를 색인하고 검색하면 정보검색, 정보추출, 질의응답의 성능을 크게 개선할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 CRF모델을 이용해서 이용하여 영어 문서에서 대명사 참조해결 방법을 제안하고 이를 구현한다.
