R-134a와 R-152a 냉매를 이용한 자동차용 에어컨 시스템의 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Performance of Automotive Air conditioning System by using R-134a and R-152a)

  • Recently, as the climate of temperature change has happened worldwide, To solve this problem, Kyoto protocol was taken to regulate global warming on Feb. 2005 and each country is making efforts to prevent global warming. In the automotive industry, R-134a refrigerant is widely used most these days because it has zero ODP(Ozone Depletion Potential). But R-134a GWP(Global Warming Potential) is so high. Therefore, replacement refrigerant desperately is needed as a alternative refrigerant. So, R-l52a is considered as one of the alternative refrigerants due to zero ODP and lower GWP against as required on Europe Committee. In this paper, performance of the air conditioning system between R-134a and R-152a is investigated experimentally. In the bench level, cooling capacity, condensing capacity, COP of automotive air conditioning system are ovaluated by means of air velocity entering the condenser and compressor revolution speed with optimized charge refrigerant quantity. Result of this study, R-152a refrigerant shows the possibility as alternative refrigerant of current R-134a in automotive air conditioning system.

HFC 순수냉매 및 혼합냉매의 모세관내에서 마찰에 의한 압력강하 (Frictional Pressure Drop of a Capillary Tube Flow of Pure HFC Refrigerants and Their Mixtures)

  • The frictional pressure drop of a capillary tube flow is experimentally investigated for pure refrigerants such as R32, R125, and R134a and refrigerant mixtures such as R32/R134a(30/70 by mass percent), R32/R125(60/40), R125/R134a(30/70), and R32/R125/R134a(23/25/52). The binary interaction parameters for the calculation of viscosities of refrigerant mixtures are found based upon the data in the open literature. Several homogeneous flow models predicting the viscosity of two-phase region are compared to select the best model. Cicchitti's equation is known to be the most adequate for the prediction of the viscosity for refrigerant mixtures, which is used in the analysis of adiabatic capillary flows. A model for the prediction of the frictional pressure drop of single and two-phase flow is developed for refrigerant mixtures in this study. This model may be used to design and analyze the performance of a capillary tube in the refrigerating system.

  • The application of hydrocarbon refrigerant mixtures in a hermetic reciprocating compressor for dehumidifier is investigated. The selected refrigerants are R12, R134a, HC-Blend (R290/R600a), CX(R152a/R600a) and OS-l2a. Both theoretical and experimental investigations have been performed for the selected refrigerants. The test results of hydrocarbon refrigerants have been compared to traditional refrigerant(R12) and R134a. The results show that hydrocarbon refrigerant mixtures(HC-Blend, CX and OS-l2a) are very good alternatives in the refrigeration system for R12 and R134a.

  • This study presented the feasibility of R152a refrigerant as an alternative of R134a which is used in the current automobile air conditioning system. The performance of air conditioning system installed in the actual vehicle was tested using the climate wind tunnel. The experiments were conducted at various refrigerant charge quantities and various driving conditions such as city traffic, highway traffic and parking. Same components and lubricant were used for both R134a and R152a system. The effects of air set values of thermal expansion valve on the performance were also investigated. In case of the R152a system, refrigerant charge quantity can be reduced about 20%, better performance and superior compressor durability is expected due to the lower discharge pressure compared to the R134a system.

  • 식생활의 향상 및 다양화로 신선한 제품에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있으며, 이에 따라 냉장 및 냉동식품의 저온유통 또한 점차 증가되고 있다. 현재 냉동산업에는 주로 R134a 냉매가 사용되고 있으며 GWP(Global Warming Potential)가 1300으로써 매우 높아 지구온난화에 영향을 미친다. 이를 대체하기 위한 냉매로써 R1234yf 냉매가 있으며, GWP는 4로써 매우 낮다. 냉동탑차 냉장시스템에 사용되는 증발기는 저온조건에서 작동되기 때문에 서리가 형성되어 시스템의 성능을 급격히 감소시킨다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 R134a와 R1234yf 냉매를 작동유체로 사용한 증발기의 성능을 착상조건 하에서 다양한 운전조건으로 분석하였다. 해석결과, 서리성장 조건에서 공기측 입구온도, 상대습도, 증발온도 변화에 대하여 R134a 증발기의 성능이 R1234yf 증발기보다 더욱 민감하게 나타났으며 서리의 성장 또한 R134a 증발기가 더 크게 나타났다.

2중 관형 열교환기내 비공비혼합냉매 R-22+R134a의 응축열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (Condensation Heat Transfer Characteristics of Non-Azeotropic Refrigerant Mixture(NARMs) Inside Double Pipe Heat Exchangers)

  • Experimental results for forced convection condensation of non-azeotropic refrigerant mixtures inside a horizontal smooth tube are presented. The mixtures of R-22+R-134a and pure refrigerants R-22 and R-134a are used as the test fluids and a double pipe heat exchanger of 7.5mm ID and 4800mm long inside tube is used. The range of parameters are 100-300kg/h of mass flow rate, 0-1.0 of quality, and 0, 33, 50, 67, and 100 weight percent of R-22 mass fraction in the mixtures. The heat flux, vapor pressure, vapor temperature and tube wall temperature were measured. Using the data, the local and average heat transfer coefficients for the condensation have been obtained. In the same given experimental conditions, the liquid heat transfer coefficients for NARMs were considerally lower than that of the pure refrigerant of R-22 and R-134a. Local heat transfer characteristics for NARMs were different from pure refrigerant R-22 and R-134a. In some regions, local heat transfer coefficients for NARMs were increased in the following order ; Bottom$\rightarrow$Top$\rightarrow$Side. The condensation heat transfer coefficients for NARMs increased with mass velocity, heat flux, and quality, but were considerably lower than that of pure refigerant R-22 and R-134a.

동일한 유입온도조건에서 R134a와 R22 적용 응축기의 특성비교 (Comparison of Condenser Characteristics using R134a and R22 under the Same Inlet Temperature Condition)

  • 본 연구에서는 상용 냉동 공조기기에서 사용하고 있는 휜-관 열교환기에서 R22와 이의 대체냉매로 채용하고 있는 R134a 압력강하와 열전달 특성에 대해 실험적으로 연구하였다. 실험은 입구온도 $60^{\circ}C$, 질량유량 $150,\;200,\;250\;kg/m^{2}s$의 범위에 대해 수행하였다. 이때 공기의 유입조건은 전구온도 $35^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 40%, 공기유속은 $0.68{\sim}1.6m/s$이다. 실험 결과 응축기 출구의 과냉도를 $5^{\circ}C$로 유지한 경우 Rl34a의 필요공기유속은 R22보다 5.9%작게 나타났으며, R134a의 압력강하는 R22보다 $18.1{\sim}20.4%$의 범위 내에서 크게 나타났다.

프로판/이소부탄 혼합냉매를 적용한 가정용 소형 멀티 냉동시스템의 성능특성에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of the Performance Characteristics of Propane/isobutene Refrigerant Mixtures in a Small multi-refrigeration System)

  • In this paper, The performance of Kim-Chi refrigerator with three evaporator and one compressor was investigated in employing 55% propane and 45% isobutane (R290/R600a) refrigerant mixture as an alternative refrigerant of R134a. The drop in test was performed by varying both refrigerant charge amount and capillary tube length in order to find both the performance and reliability of a small multi-refrigeration system. As a result, Both the power consumption and COP is increased by about 15% and 10%, respectively as compared to the baseline R134a system. In addition, the propane/isobutene refrigerant mixture system took advantage of the minimization of modification and redesigning of system components because of similar thermodynamic properties with R134a such as saturation pressure, temperature, normal boiling point(NBP) characteristics

자동차용 에어컨 성능실험과 액서지 해석 (Performance Experiment and Exergy Analysis of an Automotive Air-conditioning System)

  • Experiments have been peformed, using pure refrigerant R134a and a zeotropic refrigerant mixture R290/R600a(60%/40%) and their performances have been analyzed by the first and second laws(exergy method) of thermodynamics. From the experimental results, variations of compressor speed and air temperature have a great effect on the performance of the system. The sum of exergy losses in compressor and evaporator is about 60% of total exergy loss, using refrigerant R134a, so it is necessary to improve the performance of compressor and evaporator. According to the experimental results using refrigerant mixture of R290/R600a(60%/40%), the exergy losses in heat exchange processes are decreased but the exergy loss in throttling process is increased. The performance of the system has been improved by 20∼30% compared with that of R134a and exergy losses have been also reduced.

  • The effect of refrigerant R-134a and R-430a on the performance of refrigeration equipment for R-134a is investigated. Refrigeration effect, compression work and coefficient of performance of refrigeration equpment for both R-134a and R-430a are obtained by experimentation. These performances comparison between R-134a and R-430a is made in case of the maximum load. Refrigeration effect for R-134a and that for R-430a is almost equal while compression work for R-134a is less than that for R-430a. Consequently it shows that coefficient of performance for R-134a is relatively 11% higher than that for R-430a.
