과학기술의 발전과 더불어 현대전의 무기체계는 정밀 고도화되어 첨단기술을 필수적으로 요구한다. 이러한 복잡도가 높은 무기체계를 연구개발하는 방위산업 기업들은 협력을 통하여 다양하게 요구되는 지식정보에 대응하고 개발비용을 절감하고 위험을 분산시킨다. 본 논문은 방위산업분야에서 선제적으로 요구되는 협력과 기업에서의 혁신성과 및 내부 R&D역량과의 관계에 대한 실증연구를 수행하였다. 한국의 방위산업 관련기업 530개에 대한 협력관계를 조사하여 방위산업 제휴네트워크 분석을 수행하였다. 네트워크의 연결, 근접, 매개 중심성을 분석하고, 내부R&D역량에 따른 네트워크 중심성의 특성과 혁신성과의 관계를 구조방정식을 이용하여 네트워크 중심성의 간접효과를 분석하였다. 내부R&D역량이 높은 기업이 네트워크중심에 위치하나, 연결중심성이 높은 기업을 제외하고는 기업의 성과와는 무관하였으며 기업의 내부R&D역량은 혁신성과에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 기업 간 협력을 매개로 혁신성과에 간접적으로도 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 한국의 방위산업기업 중 내부R&D역량이 높은 기업은 네트워크내의 지식, 정보, 자원을 활용하는 것이 혁신성과에 더 유리한 것으로 분석된다. 이러한 연구결과는 방위산업 기업들이 혁신성과의 향상을 위해 내부R&D만에 의존하기보다 다양한 기관들과의 개방형 혁신활동에 주도적으로 참여할 수 있도록 정책 수립이 되어야 할 필요성을 제기한다.

While the 4^th Industrial Revolution (4^th IR) is actively being discussed in Korea, the core and common point is that in the era of the 4^th IR, computer networking is becoming more common due to the generalization of ICT(Information and Communication Technology). There may be a variety of factors that have allowed ICT to occupy a core position in the 4^th IR, but the most important may be the position of ICT as a foundation technology. ICT has important technical value in itself, but when it is converged with other technology or industry, or when it acts as a foundation technology of such technology or industry, it greatly improves the value of existing technology or industry. Thus, this paper focused on ICT, the core technology of the 4^th IR, to examine the past, present and future of ICT-related R&D and ICT-based convergence industries. In other words, the purpose of this study is to identify which areas ICT has been actively researched from past to present and what changes have been made in such areas.

In this study, we investigated anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory efficacy, and identified their constituents from Brassica napus L. (Korean name: Yuchae) whole plant. Upon the anti-oxidative activities screening, the ethanol extract exhibited potent DPPH and ABTS⁺ radical scavenging activities. On the anti-inflammation studies using LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells, the extract inhibited the production of NO and pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6) effectively. To identify major constituents of B. napus extract, further purification was performed and led to isolation of two compounds; isorhamnetin 3,7-O-diglucoside(1) and isorhamnetin 3-O-glucoside(2). Quantitative analysis by high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) determined the flavonoid 1 as the major constituent. Isolated compounds showed DPPH radical scavenging effects and decreased NO levels without causing cell toxicities. These results indicate that the extract of Yuchae, a rich plant resource in Jeju Island, could be potentially applicable as an anti-oxidative and/or anti-inflammatory ingredients.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the spillover effect of R & D investment focusing on agriculture sector. Therefore, the Korean industry is divided into 18 industries and the data period including 1970 ~ 2014 is analyzed. In addition, the method is based on the analysis of the production function, the growth contribution of the production factor, and the spillover effect of other industries that affect the agricultural output. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, R & D investment has a positive effect on the production of Korean agriculture. Second, the impact of high tech industry R & D investment on Korean agriculture is positive. Third, the R & D investment in the public sector is relatively higher than the R & D investment in the private sector. In the R & D stage, the R & D investment of the first level technology has a great influence on the production of agriculture. As a result of this study, governments should consider the above mentioned research results to determine resource priorities based on limited resources in relation to R & D investments that contribute to production and economic growth.

This paper shows that labor mobility is positively related to R&D intensity at the industry level in Korea. Different from the perception based on individual firm-level studies arguing that firms can be reluctant to R&D in fear of the job transfer of employees, firms in industries which have high job transfer of employees turn out not to reduce investment in R&D. This result is also confirmed by 2SLS regression. This result supports that, if there exist spillover effects through the job transfer of employees, job transfer can positively contribute to R&D activities.

Due to economic turbulence and fierce competition in the IT service industry, companies have been seeking breakthrough of offerings by investing in research and development (R&D). This paper aims to examine the impact of R&D expenditure size on financial performance focusing on Korean IT service companies. The expected growth rate of revenue and net profit in the upcoming two years were analyzed based on three groups according to different R&D expenditure rates using collected data from 100 of IT service companies. Unlike our presumptions, our finding presents a non-significant relationship between the R&D expenditure size and companies' financial performance. An interesting result among others is that all companies invested in R&D strongly believe there will be an increase of their financial performance in the future.

본 연구는 대구 경북 모바일산업을 대상으로 기술혁신 특성을 파악하기 위해서 연구개발 인력 및 연구개발비 그리고 연구개발 네트워크를 가치사슬 부문별로 분석하였다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 향후 지역 경쟁력 제고를 위한 모바일산업의 혁신역량 제고방안을 제시하였다. 대구 경북 모바일산업의 연구개발 인력 지원은 모바일 기기 및 콘텐츠 부문에 집중되어 있다. 뿐만 아니라 모바일 기기 부문의 일부 대기업을 제외한 대부분의 기업들이 규모가 작은 영세 중소업체이기 때문에 연구개발비 조달에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 또한 연구개발 네트워크는 모든 가치사슬 부문에서 기업 내부 중심의 폐쇄적인 특성을 보이며, 대학 및 연구 지원기관과의 연계는 미약하다. 따라서 대구 경북 모바일산업의 혁신역량을 제고하기 위해서는 인프라, 플랫폼 및 임베디드 SW 그리고 모바일 콘텐츠 부문과 같이 열악한 가치사슬 부문을 중심으로 선별적인 지원이 이루어져야 한다. 이와 더불어 모든 가치사슬 부문에 있어서는 산 학 연 관이 혁신 네트워크를 구축하고 강화할 수 있는 지속적인 만남의 장(場)을 마련할 필요가 있다.
