In order to utilize the operational metadata retrieval system which is based on the semantic association between the research outcomes of the Korean Research Memory (KRM), the systematic integration of the metadata of the research outcomes with the term data registry (DR) was required. This study presents the ontology which can be used effectively to support the KRM. It includes the concept modeling of the knowledge structure of research outcomes, information retrieval service modeling that applies an analytical approach to researchers' needs in conjunction with the term DR, and also some technical and administrative suggestions for future system management.

This paper presents a theoretical approach for estimation of CBR-value of subbase course and subgrade using a portable pavement dynamic cone penetrometer(PDCP). The PDCP used in this paper was based on a design from South Africa and extensive studies by Kleyn(1982) and more recently by Liveneh and Ishai(1987) and Chua(1988). To date, California Bearing Ratio[CBR] value was studied mainly for application of pavement structural design. This study was initiated to develop a method of obtaining the in situ CBR-values of subbase and subgrade for the structural evaluation of pavements in the swift and inexpensive manner. PDCP tests were implemented at 20 different kinds of soil samples in the lab and test results were analysed by a theoretical approach introduced. The procedure presented provides acceptable and promising results.

Recently, security issues on industrial technology are undergoing rapid changes around the world. Developed countries are establishing response strategies to protect their own core technologies while creating conflicts with global value chains and foreign capital movement. Also in Korea, we are approaching industrial security issues in the mid- to long-term industrial competitiveness. The purpose of this study is to survey on the awareness of the industrial security ecosystem and derive key policy issues. Based on a three round survey, four policies were suggested as followings : systemization of industrial security control tower, enhancement of security company's technical skills and training of security specialists, improvement of technology leakage prevention system through retirement personnel and M&A, reinforcement of research security in R&D process and proactive technology protection. It is hoped that this study will serve as a basis for policy-making as an evidence-based study reflecting the policy demands of industrial security.

The objective of this study was to evaluate spatio-temporal water shortage distribution in the Sapgyo catchment considering both permitted and non-permitted water rights obtained from the total water right survey conducted in 2010. The results showed that the agricultural water accounted for 98% of the total water uses with 83% being the non-permitted agricultural water uses. During the 11-year (2001~2011) simulation period, water shortage was shown only in the upper Gokgyo stream sub-catchment with the highest water stress from April to May in 2009, particularly because of the large demand for rice cultivation associated with low precipitation. As water shortage was not expected to happen when the permitted water rights were not considered, it was concluded that a proper management of non-permitted water rights would be urgent.

The primary goal of this study is to develop proper indicators for evaluating and selecting an organization that contributes product safety in his industry. The indicators of product safety include input, process, and output in the sequences of product safety activities and systems. The indicators are proposed by the side of measurable and unmeasurable index. In detail, the indicators are consist of 3 parts - product safe management, efforts for product safety and the performance of product safety. The indicators are itemized by size of enterprise (large, medium and small size) due to the difference of their system and management capability of product safety. To get the indicators reasonably, the opinions of experts and VOC of the industrial field are considered. And the indicators are also divided by job position and level(an executive vs. worker). The items of indicators are 20 and the score is 200, that are the same whichever the case may be. The indicators are useful tools for selecting a person who serves the development of product safety in his industry.

As the internet and computer technology are developed, there is a need for service of traditional culture that can effectively search and create culture, history, and tradition-related materials in online contents. In this paper, we developed an RDF-based ontology retrieval service platform and verified usability and validity. This platform is divided into triple search, keyword search, network graph search, story search and management, curation management module. Based on this, the search results can be visualized based on the relationship between data, network graph search and story search can be used to easily understand the relationship between the keywords. An platform evaluation was conducted for verification, and it was evaluated that an intelligent search that can easily identify the relationship between information and shorten the analysis and search time than the existing search function.

This study attempted to verify the relationship among Job Attitude, Personality and Demographic Characteristics according to Dual Commitment Type. The groups were named 'very high dual commitment group(both highly committed to the organization and union)', 'normal dual commitment group(average level of commitment to both of them)', 'resisting dual commitment group(no commitment to both of them)', 'organization commitment group(only committed to organization)', 'union commitment group(only committed to union)'. This research was analyzed by 388 Hyundai and Kia motor company members and 'very high dual commitment group' and 'organizational commitment group' showed the highest Job Satisfaction and Job Involvement. Through group segmentations considering sub-concepts could contribute to design a strategy to increase the company's competitiveness in aspects of the direction to the HR policy.

This paper proposes a user mobility management scheme which supports seamless service even if a user changes his accessing terminal in service in IP-based convergence network. Most of ongoing researches concerning mobility management as well as the existing mobility schemes have been focused to support terminal mobility. It is limited to support a variety of mobility types such as user mobility. The proposed scheme uses the mapping relationship between UID(User Identifier), user specific identifier and TID(Terminal Identifier), specific terminal identifier and forms packet address with user specific permanent 3 layer address for session continuity in case of user mobility. We numerically analyze and compare handover signaling cost between the existing user mobility scheme and the proposed scheme. The result shows that the proposed scheme has lower handover signaling cost than the existing one, [1].

With development in computing and networking technologies, national supports and attention for building digital library, which is to overcome the limits of time and location in using information resources, is increasing. To accomplish the main goal of digital library that is to freely share and transfer information on network, the importance of standardization in developing electronic document is increasing. Now several tools to develop electronic document, which will be used in digital library, are developed for electronic document used on WWW. But none of them has absolute advantages to other formats. Those tools, that is, have comparative advantages and disadvantages for making electronic documents. Through reviewing features and analyzing comparative advantage and disadvantage of SGML, HTML, and PDF, which will be used to develop electronic documents in digital libraries, this study focuses on their comparative advantages and disadvantages. With doing it, this study propose relevant type of electronic document formats to the types of information resources.

Every country of the world in the 21st century is going to push forward the policy protecting their intellectual property right, and international movement to protect their intellectual right is still more strengthened. Under these situations, the firm is required to seek for more efficient methods of technology security and business management while the existence of business itself is at risk. The control of intellectual properties in business should be considered in the patent management. In the company, the industrial property right should be into one of the management resource, and its importance has great influence on the existence of the company. The information in patent data can be used for strategic planning purposes. This study systematically evaluates the patenting behaviour of sample of 27 business firms within the Korean metal industry. Utilizing the patent application data between 2000 and 2005, the relationship between these patenting management and company performance is analysed. This study showed that patent activity per employee and labor productivity are positive relationship, but patent activity per employee and firm size are negative relationship. Since a positive relationship between patenting and company performance could be shown, patent activity gains important as a instrument for R&D planning.
