A Design Scheme of Online Test and Evaluation System (온라인 시험 및 평가 시스템 설계 방안)

  • This paper describes a design scheme of a system that tests or polls from the students at online class. By online test, the teacher can test the pre-knowledge level of the students and know how much students understand the lecture of the class. As the number of test increases, the burden of the preparation of setting question, evaluation of the test, and management of the test results is increased. In this environments, an online test management system make it easy to test and evaluate, and thus it would be a good tool for maintaining and managing the total procedure of the test or poll of the students. For evaluating the design of the system, we made a test system prototype and performed evaluations of the online test system. The online test and evaluation system provides a good tool for testing and evaluation of student's knowledge at the class with easy and fast way.

A Study on the Improvement of Effectiveness of KOSHA 18001 in Construction Industry (건설업 KOSHA 18001 인증제도의 실효성 제고에 관한 연구)

  • The industrial accidents in the construction business have decreased on the basis of the accreditation of KOSHA 18001, one of the occupational health and safety management system. However, the interest and investment into the KOSHA 18001 has grown down because of the worsened construction business so that the construction companies that maintain the system as a mere formality has begun to be displayed. In this regard, this study performed the interview with the internal and external review board as well as the question investigation from the persons concerned in order to apprehend the current problems in the KOSHA 18001. First of all, the internal reviewers in the KOSHA are lack in the comparison with the number of new and renew accreditation. Secondly, many persons concerned with the KOSHA has required the quantitative criteria for the accreditation. Consequently, the manpower supplement associated with the external reviewers, the grading evaluation would be strong solutions to improve the effectiveness of KOSHA 18001.

Machine Reading Comprehension-based Question and Answering System for Search and Analysis of Safety Standards (안전기준의 검색과 분석을 위한 기계독해 기반 질의응답 시스템)

  • If various unreasonable safety standards are preemptively and effectively readjusted, the risk of accidents can be reduced. In this paper, we proposed a machine reading comprehension-based safety standard Q&A system to secure supporting technology for effective search and analysis of safety standards for integrated and systematic management of safety standards. The proposed model finds documents related to safety standard questions in the various laws and regulations, and then divides these documents into provisions. Only those provisions that are likely to contain the answer to the question are selected, and then the BERT-based machine reading comprehension model is used to find answers to questions related to safety standards. When the proposed safety standard Q&A system is applied to KorQuAD dataset, the performance of EM 40.42% and F1 55.34% are shown.

  • The main purpose of this study is to answer a question that how a company can be a learning organization producing useful knowledge by applying neuro-cybernetics approach. This approach borrows its working principles from the human body systems. The current study urges that the principles can be applied to build a learning organization. System 1 to 5, the core parts of neuro-cybernetics, are explained. And it is explored that how these systems can be designed for a company to be a learning organization. Limitations of the current study are discussed at the end of the paper.

  • The balanced scorecard has drawn attention from many researchers in various fields since its appearance in 1992. It became a norm for performance evaluation framework in many areas, such as marketing, information system evaluation, strategic planning, etc. Centered in the large companies in Korea, the balanced scorecard has been popularly used as a performance evaluation tool for human resource management. Now we Question its applicability to performance evaluation tool even in small business. This study tried to apply the balanced scorecard in developing an information system for performance evaluation in a small business. The study showed that the balanced scorecard can be nicely used in small business as a performance evaluation tool. The process of developing an information system is described in detail. The practitioners are to obtain a lot of insights in designing their human resource management systems from the study results.

  • This paper addresses a the maintenance system based on the concept of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintenance, Safety) for the effective maintenance of the urban transit. A systematic approach for developing a cost-effective maintenance strategy based on the component reliability of the system in question is performed according to the following steps : definition of function, functional failures of the systems, construction of RBD (Reliability Block Diagram), and the calculation of reliability indices. The developed preventive maintenance system generates maintenance plan and repair request based on the analysed RAMS data of components and maintenance experience.

  • This study (II) aims to draw up the future-oriented construction policy recommendations based on the outcomes as a result of a broad research and conducting questionnaire surveys on the arguable issues raised by construction engineers for roads and bridges in the course of previous study (I) implementation. As for the question of "The term 'Construction Management (CM)' which currently is defined in two (2) ways", 45% of respondents have answered that two (2) different types of CM should be unified into one (1) CM type as is the case in most advanced countries. About the question of "The ways to educate the CM professionals", many respondents have preferred to acquire CM professional certificate after receiving education for a certain period of time from private CM training institutions. As for the question of The revised draft that the ICEC grade of special engineers for design, construction and quality control areas shall be "more than 78 points from a more than 75 points by the original draft." 52% of respondents preferred to maintain the original draft. About the question of "The reason why the CM system has not been working well yet." 62% of respondents have answered that the staff members who are in charge of handling public project procurements are concerned about the fact that their roles (or activities) might be deprived as a result of CM adoption. In order for the CM system to be activated, based on the notion that the construction projects must be out soured, the reshuffle of the headquarter organization of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation (MLIT) should be preceded.

  • The purpose of this study is investigate the sociology population variable and social support system(emotional, financial, informal and evaluative support) with regards to the death anxiety and provide a basic data to relieve the fear of death in the elderly special nursing service. 300 old people who are living in Daeg-gu city and Kyong-buk province were selected and interviewed under their agreement which they are fully aware of the purpose and the intention of this study. Interviews for study were performed by structured questionnaire which consists of general area(11-question), social support area(emotional support 7-question, financial support 6-question, informal support 6-question and evaluative support 6-question) and death-anxiety(20-question). Statistical analysis was carried out with SPSS 12.0 program, which was applied to descriptive statistics and regression analysis to analyze the questionnaire.

  • The goal of the information system in tourism, like that of general information systems, is to create users' information needs so that the users continuously revisit the information system and retrieve the information on a regular basis. However, unlike any other information systems, the primary objective of the tourism information system is to attract tourists to the tourist sites rather than to create the users' needs for their future revisits to the information system. The tourism information system is therefore more closely related to tourists' overall tourism destination image towards the tourism destination. In this respect, the evaluation of the tourism information system should be based on tourists' overall tourism destination image towards the sites. This study examines how tourists' overall tourism destination image towards the sites affect the evaluation of the tourism information system. Specifically, I employ the tourism information system provided by Sokcho and Delone and Mclean(2003)'s the Information System Success Model in order to investigate this research question.
