The study was based on a field survey using a semi-structured questionnaire on a sample of 150 accountants. The study has identified and measured six (6) attributes of accounting information quality of SMEs that have great effects on accountants. There is, statistically, no significant difference in the level of accounting information quality of SMEs in Hanoi from these different business areas. There is no, statistically, significant difference in the level of accounting information quality of SMEs in Hanoi between the mentioned three groups of the job description. Based on the findings, some recommendations are given for SMEs to improve accounting information quality.

For data analysis, we use structural equation modeling (SEM). Based on data analysis, high-quality information system implementation generate high-quality information that can give satisfaction to the user. Moreover, the information system is related to user skill, satisfaction, and knowledge sharing which improve personal skills; enhanced personal skill contributes to organizational performance. On the other hand, there is no effect of training on personal skills and there is no effect of information quality on perceived usefulness. This research gives implication to the organization for implementing a high-quality ERP-based accounting information system that positively impacts organizational performance. Future research is expected to examine information system implementation in different research objects and conditions.

  • This study seeks to ascertain whether publicly listed Jordanian corporations (listed on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE)) exhibit accounting conservatism and whether such companies distribute dividends to stockholders. Furthermore, this study delves into the implications of accounting conservatism on dividend policy in the context of the quality of financial statements of publicly listed Jordanian companies listed on the ASE. To accomplish the aims of this study, the Quality of financial reporting is treated as a moderator for the relationship between accounting conservatism and dividend distribution. Hence, a panel data approach was utilized, which encompasses cross-sectional data for 95 industrial and service establishments for the period (2013-2017). The study found that accounting conservatism has a negative impact on dividends and that there is no difference in the impact of accounting conservatism on dividends based on the quality of financial reports. The study concluded with a number of recommendations, the most salient of which is the need for companies to enhance their concentration on accounting conservatism and adopt a suitable policy for dividends. Thus, this research provides an insights into the financial practices of Jordanian publicly listed corporations and highlights the need for a more informed decision-making process concerning dividends and accounting practices.

  • Cloud accounting represents a new area of accounting information systems. Past research has often focused on accounting information systems and its antecedents, rather than factors that adopt cloud accounting system. The purpose of this paper is to explain the factors that influence the adoption of cloud accounting in the financial sectors. This paper applied the technology acceptance model (TAM), technology-organization-environment, and the De Lone and Mc Lean model, coupled with proposed factors relevant to cloud accounting. The proposed model was empirically evaluated using survey data from 187 managers (financial managers, IT department managers, audit managers, heads of accounting departments, and head of internal control departments) in Jordanian bank branches. Based on the SEM results, top management support, organizational competency, service quality, system quality, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use had a positive relationship with the intention of using cloud accounting. Cloud accounting adoption positively affected cloud accounting usage. This paper contributes to a theoretical understanding of factors that activate the adoption of cloud accounting. For financial firms in general the results enable them to better develop cloud accounting framework. The paper verifies the factors that affect the adoption of cloud accounting and the proposed cloud accounting model.

The results also showed that information asymmetry is the main factor in the creation underinvestment. Conclusions - Findings of this article can assist accounting researchers and theoreticians in comparing Real world facts with hypotheses developed with respect to accounting information quality, information asymmetry and underinvestment. However, the results of fuzzy regression analysis indicate significant relationships between the independent variable except underinvestment.

  • As having analyzed an advance research that had looked into how characteristics of information system affect use and success of the concerned system, the study determined that system quality, information quality and service quality are the fundamental requirements for a good accounting information system. In addition, based on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use that have been selected as major variables related to information system acceptance proposed by Davis[10], the study conducted an empirical analysis on how such factors would influence performance of the accounting information system. According to the results from the analysis, the system quality one of the characteristics of the accounting information system was observed to have a significant influence on the perceived ease of use while both the information quality and the service quality would positively affect the perceived usefulness. Not only that, the perceived ease of use and the perceived usefulness were confirmed to be a significant factor to the performance, and with those results, all the theses of the study have been selected. As proved even with the information system success model, the system quality, the information quality and the service quality are definitely the most necessary elements for business management, and it also turned out that those elements would play an important role in several stages of the information system.

  • One of the methods of securing the reliability of accounting information is maintaining high audit quality. The first step of improving audit quality is lowering audit engagement risks. Thus, this study analyzed the relationship between the characteristics of accounting firms and audit engagement risks based on the Bayesian Network. For this, Markov Blanket, the minimum explanatory variable set, which affects audit engagement risks, was presented, and based on the drawn causal relationship, sensitivity analysis was conducted to verify the characteristics of accounting firms, which affect audit engagement risks. The existing preceding research that used multiple regression analysis presumes the linearity between explanatory variables and dependent variables, so there was a limit in drawing the relationship between explanatory variables. Therefore, this study figured out the interdependence between variables using the General Bayesian Network and examined the impact that each variable has finally on audit engagement risks that affects the audit quality. The results of this study would greatly contribute to improving the efficiency of the supervisory task by allowing a supervisory institution to identify an accounting firms that does not manage audit engagement risks properly and to improve the supervision of the accounting firms in advance. In addition, this study will be used as a reference when a supervisory institution would improve the system related to audit quality by presenting the characteristics of accounting firms related to the audit quality.
