Background : As many previous studies proved, the quality of medical record is thought to reflect the quality of care. In this study, we analyzed the relationship between the quality of record and some factors influencing the quality of record, especially the commitment of the attending physician. Method : We developed checklist for evaluation of medical record with 36 criteria. 300 inpatient records of 10 attending physicians' patients were evaluated and the quality' of records were scored. The attending physician's commitment to medical records were scored by 34 residents. The relationship of the quality of records with physician's commitment to records, and some other factors were analyzed. Results : More than 75% of the immediate postoperative notes on the progress note were missed. More than 69% of the contents of explanation about the procedures on the consent form or on the other forms were also missed. The physician whose quality score of records was the highest(78.9) got the highest commitment score. The score of attending physician's commitment to the record, and his seniority were positively related with the quality score of his medical records when number of patients and department were adjusted. Conclusion : The quality of the 5 forms of the record reviewed were evaluated as moderate or excellent except 2 or 3 items. The quality of record was positively related with the attending physician's commitment to the record, and the seniority of the physician.

The environmental changes in the Korean cosmetic medical service industry in the $21^{st}$ century are forming intense competition among medical institutions due to the quantitative expansion of its market. For stable growth of the cosmetic medical service industry, continuous quality improvement is necessary based on empirical research on the quality of cosmetic medical services rather than external expansion. The purpose of this study is to classify the quality attributes of cosmetic medical service using Kano model and to derive the degree of satisfaction and dissatisfaction of each quality attributes through Customer Satisfaction Coefficient (CSC). Through this, the study identified strategic priorities and suggested specific step-by-step approaches and quality improvement priorities that can increase customer satisfaction using the Potential Customer Satisfaction Improvement Index (PCSI Index). Based on SERVPERF, this study used measurement tools consisting of five dimensions : tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. In addition, it was used of measurement items reconstructed into positive, negative, and satisfaction questions for Kano model analysis, CSC analysis, and PCSI Index analysis. A total of 300 medical consumers who experienced cosmetic medical services for the past one year in medical institutions such as plastic surgery and dermatology were collected with convenient sampling. As a result, urgent items for improving the quality of service using the PCSI Index, 'Consideration for customer benefits' in empathy category was followed by 'Immediate help' and 'Sincere response' in responsiveness category, and 'Understanding customer needs' in empathy category, respectively. That is, it is required to improve human service quality attributes such as empathy and responsiveness rather than physical service quality attributes. This study contributes practically in that it provides specific and discriminatory approaches to improve customer satisfaction on cosmetic medical service quality and suggests improvement priorities.
This study is to investigate the effects of medical service quality and service value by relationship on customer behaviors. The empirical findings of this study are summarized as follows. First, the findings on effects of medical service quality on relationship quality showed that rise in medical service quality resulted in a significant rise in relationship quality. Second, the findings on effects of service value on relationship quality verified that rise in service value had positive(+) impacts on relationship quality. Third, the findings on effects of relationship quality on customer behaviors verified that relationship quality had significant impacts on customer behaviors. Lastly, the findings of relationship with medical service quality, service value, and customer behaviors verified that relationship quality served as a parameter. The findings from the above study show that dental medical institutions have to seek more differentiated and various service strategies, continue to develop consistent service methods to meet customer's expectation, and enhance the reliability of customers in dental medical institutions in order to maximize the results of customer behaviors.
The purpose of this study was to reveal association between medical service quality, consumer satisfaction, service value and customer loyalty. Medical service quality was composed of physical quality, personal quality, technical quality, procedural quality. We thought these factors affect to the consumer satisfaction, service value and customer loyalty. For this study, 221 dental patients in Busan and Ulsan are participated in this study. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with SPSS 18.0 program. In conclusion, we obtained the next results. First, the influencing factor in consumer satisfaction were physical quality(${\beta}$=.519), personal quality(${\beta}$=.262), procedural quality(${\beta}$=.110), adjusted $R^2$=.537. Second, the influencing factor in service value were physical quality(${\beta}$=.253), personal quality(${\beta}$=.251), technical quality(${\beta}$=.210), procedural quality(${\beta}$=.136), adjusted $R^2$=.401. Third, the influencing factor in customer loyalty were personal quality(${\beta}$=.343), physical quality(${\beta}$=.302), procedural quality(${\beta}$=.148), adjusted $R^2$=.398. As dental patients' desire to medical service quality becomes diversified, the analysis result is considered to help the future dental service management.
In this research, by confirming the path relation between the patient's perceived quality of the medical service and their revisit intent, and by investigating the adjustment effect of the customer's trust of the hospital between the quality of the medical service and the image of the hospital and the revisit intent, this research has the objective of presenting basic data and documentation for the establishment of both a positive hospital image to medical care customers and also a differentiated medical service marketing strategy. The deduced results of the research are as follows. First, the quality of medical service was shown to have a significant influence on the image of the hospital, and second, the quality of medical service was shown to have a significant influence on the revisit intent, but only on certain dimensions. Third, it could be confirmed that there was a partial adjustment effect on the customer's trust of the hospital from the relationship between the revisit intent and the image of the hospital and its quality of the medical service. Finally, it was confirmed that the image of a hospital had a very significant influence on the revisit intent.

The goal of this study is to present efficient measures to improve the quality of medical education through using a developed and applied continuous quality improvement (CQI) model suitable for medical education. To achieve this purpose, we developed a theoretical CQI model through a review of the literature according to the design-based research method. Through repetitive productive cyclical processes and professional reviews, we finally deduced an appropriate CQI model for medical education. The most important results of this study are as follows: First, the CQI model for medical education is defined as a quality management system with a cyclical course of planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of medical education. Second, the CQI model for medical education is composed of quality management activities of educational design, work, and evaluation. In addition, each activity has the implementation strategies of planning, doing, checking, and improving based on the PDCA model (Plan-Do-Check-Act model). Third, the CQI model for medical school education is composed of committees related to medical education doing improvement activities, as well as planning, implementing and evaluating it with CQI. As a result, we can improve teaching by using the CQI model for medical education. It is more meaningful because this gives us organized and practical measures of quality management and improvement in medical education as well as in the educational process.
The Internet marketing of hospital is being considered as a strategic requirement that can satisfy the customers. Therefore, it is very important to understand the effects of the medical information on the Internet on the actual consumers. In this study, the paths through which the attitude and satisfaction of the medical information consumers that visit hospital web site are formed for the medical information through the quality of the medical information on the Internet and usability of hospital web site were examined respectively according to the medical examination and treatment subjects that respectively deal with medical acts and cosmetic acts through light metabolism recovery. The usability of hospital web site, rather than medical information quality, had positive effects on the attitudes toward the medical information distributed in the corresponding web site and the satisfaction of use of hospital web site in the case of visitors of the hospital web site for the medical examination and treatment subjects of essential medical examination and treatment and emergency medical treatment, and, on the other hand, the result of analyzing the path of the medical examination and treatment subjects of cosmetics and functional improvement revealed that the medical information quality had positive effects on the medical information attitudes and the usage satisfaction of hospital web site. Accordingly, the attitudes toward the medical information distributed through the web site by the visitors of hospital web site is formed from the quality of medical information and web site usability, and, ultimately, they become generally satisfied with the hospital web site. Such process is revealed different1y according to the medical examination and treatment subjects for which consumers desire to obtain information.
This study aims to analyze the effect of quality of health care on perceived value, patient satisfaction and revisit intention. The role of radiology department has been greatly increased in the past few years as the technology in the medical imaging devices improved and the introduction of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) to the conventional film-based diagnostic structure is a truly remarkable factor to the medical history. In addition, the value of using digital information in medical imaging is highly expected to grow as the technology over the computer and the network improves. However, the current medical practice, using PACS is somewhat limited compared to the film-based conventional one due to a poor image quality. The image quality is the most important and inevitable factor in the PACS environment and it is one of the most necessary steps to more wide practice of digital imaging. The existing image quality control tools are limited in controlling images produced from the medical modalities, because they cannot display the real image changing status. Thus, the image quality is distorted and the ability to diagnosis becomes hindered compared to the one of the film-based practice. In addition, the workflow of the radiologist greatly increases; as every doctor has to perform his or her own image quality control every time they view images produced from the medical modalities. To resolve these kinds of problems and enhance current medical practice under the PACS environment, we have developed a program to display a better image quality by using the ROI optical density of the existing gray level values. When the LUT is used properly, small detailed regions, which cannot be seen by using the existing image quality controls are easily displayed and thus, greatly improves digital medical practice. The purpose of this study is to provide an easier medical practice to physicians, by applying the technology of converting the H-D curves of the analog film screen to the digital imaging technology and to preset image quality control values to each exposed body part, modality and group of physicians for a better and easier medical practice. We have asked to 5 well known professional physicians to compare image quality of the same set of exam by using the two different methods: existing image quality control and the LUT technology. As the result, the LUT technology was enormously favored over the existing image quality control method. All the physicians have pointed out the far more superiority of the LUT over the existing image quality control method and highly praised its ability to display small detailed regions, which cannot be displayed by existing image quality control tools. Two physicians expressed the necessity of presetting the LUT values for each exposed body part. Overall, the LUT technology yielded a great interest among the physicians and highly praised for its ability to overcome currently embedded problems of PACS. We strongly believe that the LUT technology can enhance the current medical practice and open a new beginning in the future medical imaging.
Medical tourism is a contemporary phenomenon which has its root in both tourism and health service. Especially, Korea's medical tourism market has grown dramatically after activation of foreign patient attraction law. The purpose of this study is to find out which is the most influential factors among political, economic, relative and national image in case of Japanese tourists when they purchase Korean medical tourism. This study estimates the Japanese tourists' Trust in the Korean health service quality and tourism service quality. It means perception of medical tourism. The results are as follows; The political, relative and economic image not have any significant influences on tourism service and trust in health service quality. And just the national image has a positive influence on tourism service and trust in health service quality. Tourism service quality is related with trust in the health service quality. Trust in health service quality is only related with purchase intention of medical tourism. The implications of this study are: First, the national image factors such as thoughtfulness, high education and polite attitude should be utilized as a Korea medical tourism marketing strategy to differentiate itself from the other foreign country in Japan. Next, the differentiated national image in Japan will be the most important factors for Korean hospital and tourism companies to attract medical tourists.
