The concept of cost of quality has become important economic measures of quality issues for several decades. Most of the research to date has focused on the problem and solution under static business conditions. However, some researchers have found that prevention cost of COQ is one of the expenses of investment and the payback will be shown by the improvement of product quality. These approaches have considered cost of quality issues based on a time factor. It means that there is a trade­off between prevention/appraisal costs and failure costs. Based on a capital budgeting approach, this research reviews the economics of quality improvement activities and proposes the decision criteria to justify quality improvement activities.

Quality costs seem to be one of the effective tools to assess quality management activities, but shipping industries have not controlled quality costs because of difficulty in cost itemization and cost data collection. This study has attempted to itemize shipping quality costs in detail and researches the composition of actual quality costs of sampled shipping companies in Korea. Result of research shows that stopping quality costs were composited by 24.3%, 3.8% and 71.8% of prevention costs, appraisal costs and failure costs, respectively and very high relationship between total qualify cost and other quality costs. This research also recommended practical methods for quality management by using indexes of quality costs.

The purpose of this study is to develop measurement items for quality cost in service industries. Quality cost is necessary in order to evaluate quality management activities. It is clear that the quality cost in service industry is different from manufacturing industry. Generally, in service industries, quality cost is very difficult to assess because it has a unique characteristics. This paper proposes an effective method for measuring quality cost in service industries. Based on the PAF (Prevention, Appraisal, Failure) cost model, we utilizes the concept of five demensions in SERVQUAL which are tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy. This paper also presents to a standard model for quality cost measurement in service industries.

From this research the construction civil official is simple with the parking floor finishing material, it improves the durability of the parking floor it uses the flexible FRP it will be able to secure the drainage quality it is excellent and it presents the efficient application plan from the construction site. The performance appraisal only efficiency with of result floor of parking area material bay it knows, the result where also the performance appraisal portion re-with roof bottom finishing is satisfied it showed. The flexible FRP it applies the material to the building as to diminish the damage of the bottom finishing material due to the deterioration and the conduct and the external force of the building it is exposed to the external environment, secures the quality of the material from the construction site and will contribute to the stability against the bottom finishing material.

Life of a system involves hazards from various sources which, it is believed, can be assessed by means of quite simple expressions. By a suitable combination of these expressions to provide for the relevance of each of the hazards, it is held that a realistic appraisal of the sensitivity of each type failure can be adequately monitored. This paper accordingly presents the mathematical concepts in relation to each of the hazards and then proceeds to indicate the general relationship which these have to some experiences in life monitoring.

This paper aims to develop the adequate quality cost model at a company which delivers ICT(information communication technology) services. One particular business unit was in the first instance selected and quality costs were then analysed at an organization level, for a department and for specific processes. Some areas were determined for quality improvement at each level and their causes were also investigated. However, the existing PAF(prevention, appraisal and failure) models reveled some limitations because the ICT services company included the different number of large and complicated business processes. The PAF model did not sufficiently highlight the detailed causes of failure costs. It did not also stimulate the relevant department's strong responsibility to improve such problems. Both micro PAF and process cost models were proposed in order to cope with this. In final, it explains the relationship between six sigma and quality costing, suggesting how to use the quality costing results as a means of promoting either continuous improvement or innovation in a case company.

This paper illustrates a method of developing a function of quality costs in manufacturing systems. It begins with a discussion of the problem statement of this research. A review of existing literatures related to quality costs and economic design of quality inspection methods are discussed. Next mathematical models that quantify the production cycle time and quality costs are formulated. This paper ends with an example that demonstrates the usefulness of the model and highlights the importance of using a system approach. The main contribution of this work is the more realistic considerations of the four types of quality costs (prevention cost, appraisal cost, internal failure cost, external failure cost) in manufacturing systems.

At present, company has to produce a product that consumer like with a competitive price, a good quality, and a fitting time to supply. Process control and qualify control are very important to supply with a product uniformly and inexpensively In this paper, the characteristic of product quality is monitored by control chart during the machining process and construction of quality control cycle is considered to divide into two types in this case that different assignable causes lead to shifts having different magnitudes. Then we are intended to find a process shift magnitude which has economical quality cost policy and are considered to quality cost functions to find a process shift magnitude. Those costs are categorized into the well-known categories of prevention, appraisal, and internal failure and external failure. This paper ends with numerical examples that demonstrate the usefulness of the model.

The present standard of drinking water quality is not reached to the guidelines of WHO and US EPA recommended. The appraisal of safety is not appropriate by the results of intermittent and limitted analysis. 45 items of drinking water quality are regulated in the Korean standard and 9 items for inspection designated by Seoul City. This report is the results of analysis of the water quality in the water stations of Seoul which are concerned with the items of Korean water quality standard and the priolity pollutnats recommended by WHO. In the results, 45 items of water quality, and the priolity pollutants were not exceeded to the standard and criteria, while DDT, heptachlor-epoxide, THMs, benzo(a)pyrene, Ba, Al, Gross beta, $^{226}$Ra, $^{90}$Sr were detected, the levels were not exceeded to the WHO guidelines. In ordes to evalute the safety of drinking water quality, besides of the existed items of standard, new hazardouse pollutants should be considered monitored continenously. For the regulation of hazardous pollutants, it may be introduced from the risk assessment. According to the relevant assessment, the acceptable risk of pollutants estimated could be applied to set the water quality standard or recommendations or quidelines as well as the number of monitoring.

본 논문은 풍수마케팅 위한 체계화된 풍수지리 분석기법과 풍수지리 감결서의 작성 방법을 연구하여 주거공간에 있어 기업의 마케팅에 활용할 수 있도록 풍수마케팅 모형을 정립한다. 여기서 풍수마케팅은 제품광고뿐만 아니라 판매촉진, 홍보, 이벤트, 세일즈맨 활동 등 변화하는 시대에 부응하는 마케팅 전략으로 소비자의 구매력과 기업의 이미지 증진에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 다만, 아직까지 풍수마케팅을 할 수 있는 광고상품이 주택분양이나 점포입지 그리고 상품배치를 위한 공간배치 등 매우 제한적이다. 그래서 현재 보편적으로 이루지고 있는 일반적인 주택분양 마케팅에 덧붙여 주택분양을 한층 더 촉진할 수 있는 풍수마케팅 방식을 연구하고자 한다. 먼저 이 연구를 위해 전통풍수지리 이론을 바탕으로 양택풍수 분석방법을 논하고, 현대에 맞는 새로운 풍수지리 분석기법으로 지형공간구조와 지자기교란을 분석방법을 논한다. 이러한 체계적이고 객관적인 풍수지리 분석방법을 적용한 풍수지리 감결서의 작성방법과 표준양식을 제시하였다. 결과적으로 기존 주택산업의 풍수마케팅 모형을 정립하여 기업의 상품판매 촉진 마케팅의 한 방법을 연구하였다. 향후 이러한 연구를 토대로 주택산업에 대한 정립된 풍수감결서 방식에 따라 분석하여 평가한 풍수마케팅 적용사례의 실례를 들어 주택분양에 얼마나 효과가 있었는지, 웰빙건축에 얼마나 반영되었는지에 대한 연구가 진행되면 풍수마케팅의 실효성 유무를 검증할 수 있을 것이다. 만약 이러한 연구를 통하여 실효성이 검증되면 풍수마케팅의 저변확대로 친환경적인 웰빙 주택산업 활성화에도 도움이 될 것이다. 덧붙여 풍수마케팅에 대한 산업별 모형을 연구하여, 그것이 기업의 이미지와 이윤의 극대화 그리고 고객의 만족에 얼마나 부합되는지에 대한 구체적인 연구가 필요하다.
