Empirical Study on the Induction Effect of Safety Quality Management System for the Shipping Company (해운기업의 안전품질경영체제 도입 성과 실증연구)

  • This document analyses the empirical study result of the safety quality management system(SQMS) induction. This analysis is composed as the following. First of all, we take a brief look at (he present Korean situations after the SQMS induction. Next, we analyse the effect of the SQMS induction, then we indicate the conclusion, suggestion, limits and future course of this study. We divided the effect of induction in 21 factors. The result was 3.5 out of 5 perfect Points, which shows the high preference. Higher points were scored with international companies than domestic ones, the companies accepted before 1998 than the ones after 1998, and large enterprises than smaller ones.

  • This study focused on service quality, service value, service satisfaction and service trust of system being used in DAPA(Defence Aquisition Program Adminstration) to manage logistic items. DAPA in operating a few systems to manage efficiently logistic items. This study focused on the catalog management system service quality. Because catalog management system has been the most requested service system of being used in DAPA by defense firms since DAPA was founded, it would be the most fitted system in this study. Through this study, we drew a direction in establishing service. This study also could be applied to business practice so defence industry firms would trust DAPA and DAPA could offer a better service quality. Quick and exact service offered by logistic catalog management system would lead delivery of military supplies and export. Consequently, the best quality service would contribute to profit increase for defence industry firms, independent defence and nation economy development.

  • This paper describes the method of establishing efficient system for the control of quality records. To establish the best control system of quality records, the organization must not only understand ISO Code requirements for quality record complectly but also identify the documents to be controlled as a quality records correctly. In addition, when establishing the system, the organization must absolutely consider the fact that quality records shall be maintained to demonstrate conformance to specified requirements and the effective operation of the quality system. This will provide the guidance which need to establish the system for quality control to the organization which produces documents in accordance with ISO Code requirements.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception of quality property of hospital information system, the quality level, and its effects. The participants were 730 employees who are using hospital information system in hospitals. In order to analyze the relationship, the quality property regulates the consideration of user's taste and the state of user's favor for the design of hospital information system, and the quality level regulates user's convenience and properness. The main results from this study can be summarized as follows, First, the perception of quality property for hospital information system showed few significance level between occupation, but revealed significance level between position. The evaluation of quality level showed significance level depending on the occupation and position. Second, quality property which generally affects to the quality level of the hospital information system were different between types of occupation and quality factor.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a case study of six sigma quality improvement practice in cooling fan motor(CFM) manufacturing processes. In this study, the CFM manufacturing process of automobile parts not relevant to the target process rate of the process point of view, in order to reduce the system to solve the problem of localized resolution procedures of six sigma DMAIC methodology was applied to study. In conclusion, this study's field D in order to improve the initial rate of inadequate quality management best practices by applying the method of Six Sigma quality CFM failure through stabilization schemes were proposed cost reduction.To be CFM product to satisfy customers based on continuous monitoring of the effective field of claims quality management system is required.

  • In this study, a comparative research between KS certification system, which is Korea's quality certification system and new JIS certification system are conducted. Compared with the results and the issue of quality certification system to look for ways to improve the company can be helpful in the development plan was presented. The survey obtained from the representatives on the company which currenty maintains certification. Survey was distributed and collected via e-mail., Highlights of the survey, were composed of four categories such as opinions of KS certification, criteria, production test and follow up, etc., these categories were put together for final conclusion.

  • ISO 9001 International Quality Management System is international standard for develop a quality management system of organization. More efficient quality management supports a good environment for customer satisfaction to product and service that anytime. So, Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) was certificated ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System in 2003 up to now. That is the first time on information flow and service for science and technology. For more efficient quality management, KISTI built a KQMS online system based on web. We obtain a improvement of customer satisfaction and efficiency of work, reduction of work processing time using KQMS.

  • In today's competitive business environment it is a necessary condition for a company to produce high-quality product for its survival and growth. That is the case in the auto-part industry as well where the international standards, ISO/TS 16949 certification, are required by customers to adopt mandatory. This study presents a successful implementation of quality management system(QMS) in a major auto-part manufacturer in Korea, utilizing SAP's QM(qualaity management) module and a mobile office system. The QMS brought the company "A" a variety of benefits such as real-time availability of product-inspection data, speedy decision-making, reduction in time required for defect-handling, ease of vertical integration of business partners in supply chain, and ease of business process standardization between headquarters and overseas subsidiaries. It is expected that the findings of this study can be used as a useful guideline for companies to consider implementing ERP-based quality management systems successfully.

  • This paper considers supplier selection process for e-business & ISO 9001 quality management system environments. Determining suitable suppliers in the electronic commerce has become a key strategic consideration. However, the nature of these decisions is usually complex and unstructured. In this paper, a Quality Estimated Supplier Selection (QESS) model is proposed to deal with the supplier selection problems in the e-business(Business to Business: B to B). In the supplier selection, quality management factors will be considered for the first time, and then price, and delivery etc. In the first level, we deal with the quality management factors such as quality management audit, product test, engineering man-power, capability index and training time etc., based on the five point scale. In the second level, a QESS model determines the final solution by considering factors such as price, production lead-time and delivery time.
