  • In this paper, we propose a methodology to annotate the digital documents through keyphrase extraction using domain specific taxonomy. Limitation of the existing keyphrase extraction algorithms is that output keyphrases may contain irrelevant information along with relevant ones. The quality of the generated keyphrases by the existing approaches does not meet the required level of accuracy. Our proposed approach exploits semantic relationships and hierarchical structure of the classification scheme to filter out irrelevant keyphrases suggested by Keyphrase Extraction Algorithm (KEA++). Our experimental results proved the accuracy of the proposed algorithm through high precision and low recall.

  • With the rapid development of deep learning and artificial intelligence, generative models have achieved remarkable success in the field of image generation. By combining the stable diffusion method with Web UI technology, a novel solution is provided for the application of AI painting generation. The application prospects of this technology are very broad and can be applied to multiple fields, such as digital art, concept design, game development, and more. Furthermore, the platform based on Web UI facilitates user operations, making the technology more easily applicable to practical scenarios. This paper introduces the basic principles of Stable Diffusion Web UI technology. This technique utilizes the stability of diffusion processes to improve the output quality of generative models. By gradually introducing noise during the generation process, the model can generate smoother and more coherent images. Additionally, the analysis of different model types and applications within Stable Diffusion Web UI provides creators with a more comprehensive understanding, offering valuable insights for fields such as artistic creation and design.

  • This paper presents 10 input measures influencing project outcomes. Construction Industry Institute (CII), a consortium of more than 130 project owner and contractor companies, has collected project-level data for over 20 years. Recently, CII has developed a new system measuring project-level performance and factors presumably influencing project performance. The system, called 10-10, collects data for 10 input and 10 output measures for capital projects. The input measures include planning, organizing, leading, controlling, design efficiency, human resources, quality, sustainability, supply chain, and safety. This paper provides theoretical background for these measures. Although the input measures have been known to impact on project outcomes such as cost and schedule, there has been no study quantitatively evaluating how they are operated in the construction industry. This study contributes to revealing the current status of their uses, which will be helpful in establishing strategies improving construction project performance.

  • We introduce a display for virtual-reality (VR) fire training. Firefighters prefer to wear and operate a real breathing apparatus while experiencing full visual immersion in a VR fire space. Thus, we used a thin head-mounted display (HMD) with a light field and folded optical system, aiming to both minimize the volume for integration in front of the face into a breathing apparatus and maintain adequate visibility, including a wide viewing angle and resolution similar to that of commercial displays. We developed the optical system testing modules and prototypes of the integrated breathing apparatus. Through iterative testing, the thickness of the output optical module in front of the eyes was reduced from 50 mm to 60 mm to less than 20 mm while maintaining a viewing angle of 103°. In addition, the resolution and image quality degradation of the light field in the display was mitigated. Hence, we obtained a display with a structure consistent with the needs of firefighters in the field. In future work, we will conduct user evaluation regarding fire scene reproducibility by combining immersive VR fire training and real firefighting equipment.

  • Component-based software development (CBD) is a methodology that has been embraced by the software industry to accelerate development, save costs and timelines, minimize testing requirements, and boost quality and output. Compared to the conventional software development approach, this led to the system's development being completed more quickly. By choosing components, identifying systems, and evaluating those systems, CBSE contributes significantly to the software development process. The objective of CBSE is to codify and standardize all disciplines that support CBD-related operations. Analysis of the comparison between component-based and scripting technologies reveals that, in terms of qualitative performance, component-based technologies scale more effectively. Further study and application of CBSE are directly related to the CBD approach's success. This paper explores the introductory concepts and comparative analysis related to component-based software engineering which have been around for a while, but proper adaption of CBSE are still lacking issues are also focused.

  • Retinal vessel analysis plays a vital role in the detection of some diseases. For example, diabetic retinopathy which may lead to blindness is one of the most common diseases that cause retinal blood vessel structure to change. However, doctors usually take a lot of time and money to collect and label training sets. Thus, automated vessel segmentation as the first step toward computer-aided analysis of fundus remains an active research avenue. We propose an automated Retinal vessel segmentation method based on the GAN network. Traditional image segmentation networks are unsupervised, and GAN is a new semi-supervised network due to adding a Discriminator. By training the discriminator network, we can capture the quality of the generator's output and drive it closer to the true image features. In our experiment, we use DRIVE dataset for training and testing. The final segmentation effect is represented by the Dice coefficient. Experimental results show that the GAN network can effectively improve the edge effect of image segmentation. Compared with the traditional U-net network, GAN shows about 1.55% higher segmentation accuracy.

  • Provision of an optimal environment for the calf is critical to establishing the patterns of growth and development essential to allow the heifer to express its genetic potential for milk output and reproductive capacity during its productive life. Maternal nutrition during gestation is now recognised as a key to genetic programming in utero and this influence is extended through the complexity of hormones, growth factors and immunostimulants incorporated into colostrum and milk consumed by the neonatal calf. This natural process is most often disrupted as calves are weaned abruptly to maximise milk output for commercial exploitation. The key then is to accelerate the rate of maturation of the ruminal epithelium through the provision of concentrate starter rations and high quality forage, which promote VFA production. Management systems to promote these processes in Holstein Friesian cattle are well developed, however, little is known of these processes with buffalo and Bos indicus dairy cattle such as the Sahiwal. The development of methods to program the neonate to grow faster to puberty in these species will be important to improving their productivity for the dairy industries in tropical and sub-tropical environments in the future.

  • This paper has aimed to prevent excessive heat input by controlling arc distribution and heat input capacity with pulse GTAW in order to improve weld quality in 0.08mm pressure gauge diaphragm and flange welding parts. A design of experiment was designed using Box-Behnken method to optimize a welding process. The pulse GTAW parameters such as pulse current, base current, pulse duty, frequency and welding speed were set to input variables while hydraulic pressure that represents welding characteristics in diaphragm and flange joint were set to output variables. Based on the test result, a second regression equation was obtained between input and output variables and turned out significant. Besides, an influence of parameters has been confirmed through response surface analysis using the second-order regression equation and optimum welding condition was obtained through a grid-search method. The optimum welding condition was set to pulse current 84.4(A), base current 29.6(A), pulse duty 58.8(%), frequency 10(%), and welding speed 596(mm/min). Then, decent bead shape was acquired with no excessive heat input under the $2.3kgf/cm^2$ of hydrostatic pressure.
