  • This study analyzed the Importance-Performance Analysis of selective attributes of Ethnic Food Restaurant. A total of 369 questionnaires were analyzed. Five factors were obtained from factor analysis of Importance variance of selective attributes of Ethnic food restaurant: Factor 1 "Quality", Factor 2 "Service", Factor 3 "Physical environment", Factor 4 "Uniqueness", Factor 5 "Health". Also, "Quality", "Physical environment", "Uniqueness" factors influenced overall satisfaction. In addition, according to the IPA results, selective attributes with low satisfaction and high importance in the second quadrant were 'Sanitation that comfort hospitality', 'Level of service' and 'Price'. These results suggest that when customers select Ethnic food restaurant, they consider 'food price' and 'food quality'. Therefore, manager of ethnic food restaurant should take these improvement factors into consideration in order to meet consumer's expectations.

  • In the network management system, there are two approaches; the centralized approach based on SNMP and the distributed approach based on mobile agent. Some information changes with time and the manager needs to monitor its value in real time. In such a case, the polling is generally used in SNMP because the manager can query agents periodically. However, the polling scheme needs both request and response messages for management information every time, which results in network traffic increase. In this paper, we suggest an adaptive network monitoring method to reduce the network traffic for SNMP-based network management. In the proposed strategy, each agent first decides its on monitoring period. Then, the manager collects them and approves each agent's period without modification or adjusts it based on the total traffic generated by monitoring messages. After receiving response message containing monitoring period from the manager, each agent sends management information periodically without the request of manager. To evaluate performance of the proposed method, we implemented it and compared the network traffic and monitoring quality of the proposed scheme with the general polling method.

  • Major industries in Gyeongnam area include robot and automobile manufacturing, shipbuilding, and aviation. According to the research, the mechanical part of the products has been advanced, but awareness over the improvement of quality of the software still lacks. The quality performance test presently conducted by the companies in Gyeongnam is mostly the manual performance test performed by the program manager. In order to systematize this and extend the range of using software testing tools, the current study intends to suggest the necessity for conducting a survey on demand to improve performance and securing testing tools such as measured data analysis. Accordingly, this study is going to investigate 33 companies in Gyeongnam related with software in each of the major business areas centering around the actual field and examine activities related to software quality. And after figuring out the current status of retaining testing tools, the study will suggest the ways to enhance recognition over software quality and propose ultimate solutions to solve the problems on the current stage by finding out how to share information as much as possible in order to lay the foundation for extending the range of activity for the sake of software quality.

  • Background: Interleukin-33 (IL-33) has recently been implicated in tumor development. Methods: Data was obtained from PubMed, EMBASE, Clinical trial, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CNKI and Wanfang databases. After quality assessment and data extraction, a meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.2 software. Results: There were eight documents included in this meta-analysis. The results showed IL33 levels to be higher in tumor patients than that in health people, but no correlations tumor stage, metastasis and survival time of tumor patients were evident. Conclusion: IL33 may be useful as an alarm factor in tumor detection and prognosis.

  • During the past few years, the productivity has been considered as one of the most important aims in developing softwares. Many practitioners and theorists are trying reuse ready made codes to increase the productivity of software development and the quality of their products. This paper introduces our experiences in developing a highly reusable class library and its reusing environment for building a database interface application. And the concepts, Structured Multi-Library and Dual Views of Class Inheritance, are also suggested, which consist our main conceptual framework in our work. Details in implementation are discussed in brief at the end.

  • With respect to the cause of asymmetric cost behavior, there are two streams of the literature. One stream focused on effect of managerial expectation and the other explained using agency system. In this study, we aim to investigate the determinants of asymmetric cost behavior in these streams. We first examine the impact of managerial overconfidence and optimistic bias on asymmetric cost. We also examine ownership ratio as a proxy of the quality of corporate governance effects on asymmetric cost. The results are as follows. First, firms have the anti-sticky asymmetric cost behavior. Second, we find that the firms with managerial optimistic bias mitigate the degree of asymmetric cost. This finding implies that managerial optimism is a factor that alters asymmetric cost behavior. Third, the degree of asymmetric cost is weaker in case of firms with higher manager's ownership. This result provides an important empirical evidence for understanding the role of corporate governance in cost behavior.
