Decision Making Method based on Function and Performance Matrix Assessment Considering Design Change

  • A comprehensive understanding of functions and performances enables a selection of appropriate alternatives to the existing design and can prevent defective design. A performance-based design quality management can ensure successful project completion. This study proposes a new model for design quality management in order to prevent defective design and to minimize design change. The new quality management model defines the requirement about function and performance based on technical characteristic, and assesses suitability for design alternatives. This study attempts to propose a quality matrix assessment method that can compare the alternative design and requirements defined with the new quality management model. This method can judge conformity and suitability of design quality in accordance with the requirements configured.

  • U-City법의 제정 및 시행에 따라 U-City를 건설하기 위한 제도적인 기틀은 마련되었으나 U-City법에 의한 계획체계가 정립되어 있지 않고 세부적인 지침도 마련되어 있지 않다. 특히 U-City의 핵심인 정보와 관련해서도 구체적인 계획과 지침 등이 마련되어 있지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 U-City법에 의해 국가와 지자체에서 수립해야 할 U-City종합계획과 U-City계획에 포함되어야 할 U-City정보의 생산 수집 가공 활용 및 유통 등 정보관리에 관한 사항을 제시하였다. 먼저 U-City종합계획은 U-City계획 수립의 방향성을 제시하며, 우선적으로 추진해야 할 세부 실천과제는 '연계 및 공유를 위한 U-City정보 생산 수집 가공 기준 수립', 'U-City정보의 가공 및 활용 활성화 방안 수립', 'U-City정보 유통체계 기반구축', 'U-City정보 품질 및 가격제도 확립'이다. 그리고 U-City계획은 U-City종합계획을 기반으로 지자체단위의 정보의 생산 수집 가공 활용 및 유통 등 정보관리사항을 수립해야 한다.

  • 건축물이 고층화, 대형화되면서 철골구조를 기본골조로 채택하는 경우가 많아지고 있으며, 철골공사의 품질관리는 사전계획단계부터 이루어지며, 단계별 참여자간의 업무 구분 및 연계가 매우 중요하다 이에 본 연구는 철골공사의 품질관리를 보다 원활하게 수행하기 위하여, 기존 철골공사 품질관리업무를 기반으로 업무간 상호관계 및 입출력 정보를 고려한 품질관리 업무 프로세스 모델을 개발하고자 한다.

Optimizing Laser Scanner Selection and Installation through 3D Simulation-Based Planning - Focusing on Displacement Measurements of Retaining Wall Structures in Small-scale Buildings -

  • The planning stage of laser scanning is crucial for acquiring high-quality 3D source data. It involves assessing the target space's environment and formulating an effective measurement strategy. However, existing practices often overlook on-site conditions, with decisions on scanner deployment and scanning locations relying heavily on the operators' experience. This approach has resulted in frequent modifications to scanning locations and diminished 3D data quality. Previous research has explored the selection of optimal scanner locations and conducted preliminary reviews through simulation, but these methods have significant drawbacks. They fail to consider scanner inaccuracies, do not support the use of multiple scanners, rely on less accurate 2D drawings, and require specialized knowledge in 3D modeling and programming. This study introduces an optimization technique for laser scanning planning using 3D simulation to address these issues. By evaluating the accuracy of scan data from various laser scanners and their positioning for scanning a retaining wall structure in a small-scale building, this method aids in refining the laser scanning plan. It enhances the decision-making process for end-users by ensuring data quality and reducing the need for plan adjustments during the planning phase.

연구개발 품질보증 적용유형 분석 및 핵심 연구품질요소 도출 (R&D Quality Assurance : General Types and Key Quality Elements)

  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze general types of R&D Quality Assurance(R&D QA) and to identify key quality elements for R&D QA. R&D QA is defined as all the planned and systematic actions to verify whether R&D processes are conducted in a proper manner and the results of R&D fully satisfy customers' requirements. Methods: The existing R&D QA guidelines and the some cases were reviewed. From the review, three general types are analyzed and thirteen key quality elements are identified. Then, the survey on the eighteen domestic experts has been conducted for prioritization of the identified elements. Results: As the result of this study, three types for R&D QA based on quality elements, standard process, and final evaluation are analyzed. Related to the first type, thirteen quality elements, e.g., administrative plan, project plan, process management and so on, are identified and prioritized. Conclusion: This study contributes to develop the baseline for R&D QA including the types and the key quality elements. It may be helpful for the institute that has an interest adopting R&D QA.

농업용 호소의 수질개선을 위한 오염총량관리제의 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Total Pollution Load Management System for Water Quality Improvement in Agriculture Reservoir)

  • Agriculture reservoirs need a systematic approach that can control water purity and water improvement. The area under study, Bunam Lake exceeds the agricultural water standard level due to contamination from the upper stream. When the Taean Enterprise City was planned, the water quality improvement plan was applied to minimize the environmental change. However, in order to continuously maintain the water quality in the Bunam Lake, it was essential to apply the Total Pollution Load Management System (TPLMs). In order to achieve the targeted water quality in the Bunam Lake, standard flow rates and targeted water quality levels were applied to obtain the loading capacity which is as follows : BOD 1,891.2 kg/d, T-N 1,945.7 kg/d, T-P 131.7 kg/d. Also, the regional development load was calculated as, BOD 1,083.6 kg/d, T-N 942.2 kg/d, T-P 61.8 kg/d, which is required to be deceased :- by BOD 378.4 kg/d, T-N 198.9 kg/d, T-P 31.6 kg/d in order to safely achieve the targeted water quality in the Bunam Lake.

  • The purpose of this study is to offer the integrated model of the product safety management system, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 environmental management system and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and to present its management plan. In order to cope with effectuation of the Product Liability, studies were conducted to construct an integrated system and to find strategies of companies.

  • Apartment housing in the Korean domestic construction industry has had various and high-quality finishing work since the enforcement of price deregulation in 1998. Before the enforcement of price deregulation, feasibility studies of housing projects have not had particular difficulties as uniform description of finishing work items were reflected and finishing work cost also was equalized. However, the recent distinction of finishing work based on the same floor plan brings about project cost variation, along with many effects on construction management due to project cost increment. Accordingly, this paper suggests the improved plan of cost management to control the feasibility study result consistently during the life cycle of a project through an analysis based on cost management phase due to cost blackout, appearing at the commencement of a project, cost gradation caused by high-quality finishing work item, and cost reduction due to the degradation of finishing work after analysis of current apartment construction process focused on finishing work using the IDEF process analysis technique.
