Correlation of Quality Assurance System of Hospitals, Social Worker's Attitudes toward Quality Assurance Activities, and Quality on Social Services (병원의 질 보장 수준과 사회복지사의 질 보장에 대한 태도, 의료사회사업서비스 질과의 상관관계 연구)

  • Background : There have been many studies and efforts about quality management in health services, but there were not founded quality assessment on social services. This study was designed for understood level of quality on social service, identified for correlation factors of quality assessment on social services in general and teaching hospitals in Korea. Methods : The subjects of this survey were 80 leaders of social service units. The survey data from each subjects were measured to evaluate level of quality that service provider perceived of sample hospitals. Social worker's attitude of quality assurance activities, perception of quality assurance system in that hospitals were measured. Under the method of one-way ANOVA, t-test and correlation, associated factors of quality assessment in social work service was analyzed. Results : The major findings were as following ; First, the level of quality perceived showed less score, especially the lowest was the score of quality of outcome. Second, social worker's attitude of quality assurance activities showed high score, but quality assurance system of hospitals showed less score. Third, the level of quality assurance system of hospitals, social worker's attitudes of quality assurance activities. Conclusion : The quality of social work service correlated positive hospitals's quality assurance system, social worker's attitudes of quality assurance activities. Therefore, to assure the proper level of quality, qualified for hospitals system of quality assurance, and needed to a educational program for enhanced social workers's attitudes in quality assurance activities.

A Study on Stabilization Measures for Foreign Military Product Quality Using the International Quality Assurance System (국제품질보증제도 활용을 통한 방산 국외도입품 품질 안정화 방안)

  • Purpose: The study proposes extended application of reviewing and developing international quality assurance system for useful and practical quality stabilization of foreign military product. There are several problems with quality assurance activities for foreign military products. To improve theses problems, this study researches measures and effects of entrustment of quality assurance activities to suppliers group abroad by utilizing the system. Methods: In order to carry out the research, consignment system for international quality assurance activity of advanced country has been analysed through this study. By applying the consignment system to the case of foreign military product, the possibility and effects of consignment is researched. Results: Through this study the procedure and substance of the international quality assurance system is verified. The quality assurance activities were consigned to suppliers group by utilizing the system, thus application basis for international quality assurace activities is established. Conclusion: Defense Import through The Quality Assurance System of trade countries using the International Quality Assurance System suggests the solution to endemic problems. The Introduction Military Product with the Quality Assurance System of Korean Government improves the competitiveness of defense export.

  • The e-Learning quality assurance is a part of responsibility for education in latest information age, and should be understood as a basic direction for qualitative enhancement rather than quantifiable expansion. In such a context, this study sought to survey latest trends of e-Learning quality assurance activities deployed around overseas countries, so that it could give possible implications on how to plan and perform e-Learning quality assurance in Korea. So, this study focused on surveying actual conditions, coverage, target and useful indices of e-Learning quality assurance activities deployed by 9 institutions across 5 countries, and characterizing those activities across 5 countries. As a result, this study could find out its implications such as acquisition of various resources available for e-Learning, nationwide consolidation of e-Learning quality assurance activities, development of specialists in e-Learning quality assurance, and choice and focus for e-Learning quality assurance system. In other words, it was found that e-Learning quality assurance should be approached from nationwide standpoint in the interest of better educational quality, rather than from viewpoint of task.

  • The Studies on Quality Assurance Activities at the Phase of Planning - Design Are Quite Rare, While Those Activies are very Important, This Study is Focused on the Applicability of Quality Function Development System to the Phase of Planning-Design, With a Matrix of the Quality Assurance Activities and Quality Function Develop-ment System.   • Purpose: A main aims to classify quality attributes for quality assurance activities of military supplies by company size, and to derive the necessity for business improvement by company size to improve customer satisfaction through customer satisfaction coeffiecient and PCSI Index. Methods: Through a survey of defense and general businesses located in Busan and South Gyeongsang Province, the quality of service elements are classified and the client satisfaction factor and PCSI is calculated for the quality assurance activities. Results: Determine the current level of customer satisfaction with the quality of the Defence quality assurance service and present operational factors that need improvement by size of the company. Conclusion: The attractive quality of service factors for quality assurance work were in common and different and the need for improvement was identified based on differences in PCSI Index by Company size.

  • The article proves the relevance of developing conceptual frameworks for managing the quality assurance of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants. It is established that the fundamental difference of the logistic approach in management from traditional approaches is the allocation of a single management function of previously separated, disparate material flows, as well as economic, technological, information integration of chain links into a single system capable of effective management of these flows. It is substantiated that the functioning of the enterprise as a logistics system can be represented in the form of a triad of logistics components, namely: supply logistics, production logistics, sales logistics. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants is a functional component of the entire logistics system due to the quality of work and interaction of all participants in the implementation of certain activities. The quality of logistics activities will affect the level of economic potential, rationalization and optimization of all logistics flows. It is proved that the management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants involves the following main areas: the introduction of a quality system of logistics processes; development and implementation of the general strategy of quality improvement at the enterprise; internal integration; controlling. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of its participants requires compliance with the following requirements: systematic and comprehensive management of all flow processes; coordination of criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the entire logistics system; dissemination of the use and application of information technology; ensuring partnerships and close interaction of all participants in sales networks.

  • The quality assurance activities are important to obtain the safety and reliability in decommissioning of research reactor. It is essential to establish and implement effective quality assurance program. Foreign state-of-the-art standards and practices of quality assurance are investigated and analyzed to select quality assurance requirements. In this paper, guidelines are offered a suggestion to establish optimal the technology standard and lay out the managerial control scheme of quality assurance for decommissioning on research reactor.

Improving Government Quality Assurance Efficiency by Analyzing Related Instructions of Advanced Countries (해외 선진국 규정 분석을 통한 국내 정부품질보증 효율성 향상 방안)

  • Purpose: Defense government agencies in the world continuously try to improve operational efficiency in government quality assurance activities. The purpose of this paper is to propose some suggestions to enhance efficiency of government quality assurance (GQA) activities based on the analysis of the current quality assurance methods of advanced foreign agencies such as DCMA and NATO. Methods: In order to propose new directions, reviews and analyses are executed. (1) Former research results in Korea for enhancing GQA are reviewed, and their limitations are addressed. (2) Updated policies and procedures of the US DCMA and NATO are reviewed and their advantages are presented. (3) Current GQA policies and procedures are contrasted with those of US DCMA and NATO. Results: Suggestions for efficient Korean GQA activities are given in several aspects: GQA paradigm shift, clarification of GQA methods, facility-wide GQA, risk management for suppliers, counterfeit mitigation policy, data collection and control. Conclusion: Reviews on the government quality assurance policies and procedures of DTaQ, DCMA, and NATO are executed and compared with each other. The results of this research are expected to be useful guidelines to improve GQA policies and procedures in Korea, making it possible to realize more efficient GQA activities in Korea.

  • Related to the on-going "Train Control System Project of Pilot Line Construction for Urban MAGLEV Train", activities by each phase shall be conducted to achieve SIL4 level and obtain safety certification from the Independent Safety Assessment(ISA), based on the IEC standards((IEC 62278/62279 and IEC 62425) for the first time in Korea. This thesis describes the introduction of IEC standards, system assurance activities (such as plan, analysis, test, verification and validation) in compliance with requirements management and project life-cycle and relations with the safety assessment activities; and certification activities (such as document reviews and audits) through system RAMS activities, software quality assurance activities and safety assessment, for the purpose of achieving a successful safety certification at the time of completing the project as system assurance activities including software and safety certification activities in order to acquire the safety certification for train control system which does not exist at all in domestic cases. It is believed that overall system safety assurance activities in this project will contribute to develop more upgraded products of the domestic train control system on the quality and safety point of view, find overseas markets and establish a bridgehead in the future.

  • Quality Assurance is a system of activities whose purpose is to provide assurance that the over all quality control job is in fact being done effectively. In this paper, we tried to develop the fundamental quality assurance procedures that can be applicable to the new-product design stage, to the production stage and to the after-sales stage of the production system.
