신뢰성 인증체계 개선방향 (On the Improvement of Reliability Certification system)

  • Recently reliability Improvement and certification are considered as important issues by world-wide leading and highly qualified companies in advanced countries. In Korea, from a few years ago, the policy for reliability certification newly has been driven to improve product competitiveness in part and material industry. As yet the reliability certification is local and domestic, it is necessary to develop local certification system to global certification system. Reliability certification system is composed of accreditation body, testing laboratory and reliability assurance. In this paper, we review the reliability certification system and its application in Korea and the current research trends in advanced countries. Finally we propose some suggestions for the eliability certification system to be an international standard.

초정밀 CNC 센터리스 연삭기 개발 (The Development of Ultra-precision Centerless Grinding Machine)

  • In this study, the ultra precision centerless grinder for ferrule grinding was designed. As the good-qualified ferrule is required a precise and fine grinding, grinding machine for ferrule must have a high accuracy and a sufficient stiffness. The centerless grinder is composed of the high damping concrete bed, grinding wheel spindle unit, regulating wheel spindle unit, feeding table and dressing unit. For a newly developed centerless grinder, hydrostatic system with high precision feeding and high stiffness was proposed.

Issues in S&T Human Resources Development in Korea

  • It is frequently pointed out that the Korean economy, with its scarce natural resources, would never have been able to achieve current levels of economic development without the massive provision of well-educated, hardworking human resources. Throughout the industrialization process ,full-fledged deployment and mobilization of qualified human resources have been the foundation to industrial policy and S&T policy. This paper describes the development of S&T human resources in Korea using various statistics including educational enrollment rates, unemployment rates, the allocation of researchers and R&D expenditures among sectors of performance, educational composition of employment within and across industries, technical human resource shortage rates, relative wage levels of SMEs, and composition of labor force by age-group and gender. While analyzing S&T human resources development, this paper discusses issues such as the mismatched demand and supply of skill and knowledge levels of the highly educated, the unbalanced distribution of S&T human resources between sectors, and the low utilization of the female and aged labor force. This paper suggests that the policy maker applies a hybrid of quantitative and qualitative policies to reduce the mismatches of supply and demand of skill and knowledge levels for each labor market categorized according to supply side.

  • Many researchers have, nowadays, studied on spinning which can produce highly qualified products by CNC spinning machine equipped with hydraulic devices. The products have continuous metal flow which improves fatigue life, yield point, tensile strength and hardness. This study is to investigate the influence of various working conditions on the spinnability of cylindrical cups such as feed rate(ν), feed pitch(p), angle of roller holder(α), and the inclination angle of first roller path. Through experiments the feed rate of (0.4∼0.7) mm/rev was shown to give the drawing ratio of 2.5 when the angle of roller holder was 5°, However, by increasing the angle of roller holder from 5°to 20°, the range of feed rate which can produce deeper cups became wider and the spinnability was also improved. The optimum working conditions, for the maximum formability of aluminum sheet metal as well as dimensional accuracy of spun cups, are presented and discussed.

  • This paper is an assessment on the dynamic test results of optical bench for LEO satellite. According to the design requirements, optical bench was designed and manufactured. Dynamic test was performed to verify stability of optical bench. Low level random vibration test, sine burst test and sine vibration test are carried out to identify dynamic characteristics and to verify static strength and safety under quasi-static load conditions. From the result it can be stated that the optical bench is well qualified under the launch environmental conditions.

  • The green marine algae, Capsosiphon fulvescens has been cultivated in south coast of southern Korea for many years on a commercial scale. This species is very popular in Korean as a food supplement because of its attractive flavor and flexcible taste. It is, therefore, necessary to isolate and utilize qualified germplasms for mass production of this economic seaweed. Several reports have been published on phycological applications of RAPDs including the characterization of interspecific genetic variation, the identification of isolates and hybrids, and the study of phylogenetic relationships. However few authors have used RAPDs to assess the genetic variability among populations of a seaweed species(van Oppen et al., 1994; Alberto et al., 1997). The present study was undertaken for characterizing the identities of Capsosiphon fulvescens populations cultivating in Korea through the analysis of PCR based random amplified polymorphic DNAs (Welsh and MacClelland, 1990; Willams et al., 1990) and chemical composition aimed to isolate the useful strains for aquaculture.   • Data Security is the most challenging area in Internet communication, where most of the secret sharing schemes are proposed for binary images. But still it lacks in providing security for data communication, especially in image transmission. Traditional visual cryptography scheme generate meaningless diwies and the reconstruction phase leads to quality degradation over the secret image. In this work, an intelligent two dimensional secret share construction scheme is proposed. A secret image is expanded into n diwies with the choice of scheme selection. By Stacking all the qualified diwies to revert the secret image without content loss and less than s* - 1 shares could not reveal any information about the secret image. The experimental results emphasize that the proposed secret share scheme is highly secured for image transmission.

  • The research is on the satisfaction of the students in culinary academy education which provides basic information about the operation of an efficient private culinary school, training qualified cooks. In this research, it is found that four factors which influenced on satisfaction about private culinary schools: service, environment, operation, advertisement. Students choose private culinary schools considering educational contents, sincerity and kindness of staffs, location and tuition fees. This kind of studies should go on for the private culinary academy to have efficient education environment and for educators and staff members in the private culinary academy to feel pride as an educator who takes charge in social education.

  • The purpose of this study is, to increase the number of and improve environmental quality of kindergartens, to minimize the time and effort required in the design and construction of kindergartens by providing architectural design guidelines(space program and area guideline). The prerequisite condition of this study, in particular, is to provide the standardized design process for designing kindergartens which has merits such as provision of more qualified environment, minimization of the effort required in the design. Through the review of domestic regulations, domestic and foreign guidelines, and on-sight investigation of existing kindergartens, the practical guidelines for space program, areas, elevations and material planning were proposed.

과학과 교사용 지도서에 대한 교사의 인식과 개선 방향 (Teachers Perception and Improvement on the Elementary Science Teacher s Guide)

  • The purpose of this study is to get the more qualified elementary science teacher's guide as a major curriculum material for teachers and to find more improvement suggestions by analyzing of the teachers' perception and using status of it. To examine the problems of this study, 183 teachers from the elementary schools were surveyed by the questionnaire that was developed by researcher, and statistical technique for data analysis was frequency, using SPSS win(version 7.5). Teachers generally thought that the general remarks of the elementary science teacher's guide were helpful to understand elementary science education and the detailed subjects were useful, but teachers less satisfied about 'practice of teaching' of the detailed subjects. The most interested sector of the teachers' was the sector of the teaching methods. The results of this study were that the sector' the methods and evaluation of the elementary science education' of the general remarks and the sector' practice of teaching' of the detailed subjects were mostly interested. So it is necessary to be more detailedly guided when the development of the elementary science teacher's guide are considered.
