  • This article mainly concentrates on the open question whether a right self-injective ring R is necessary QF if $R/S_l$ is left Goldie. It is answered affirmatively under the condition $S_l{\subseteq}S_r$, where $S_l$ and $S_r$ denote the left socle and right socle of R respectively. And the original condition "right self-injective" can be weakened to "right CS and right P-injective". It is also proved that a semiperfect, left and right mininjective ring R is QF if $S_r{\subseteq}^{ess}$ $R_R$ and $R/S_l$ is left Goldie.

  • An element $a$ in a ring R is called left morphic if $$R/Ra{\simeq_-}1(a)$$. A ring is called left morphic if every element is left morphic. In this paper, an element $a$ in a ring R is called left ${\pi}$-morphic (resp. left G-morphic) if there exists a positive number $n$ such that $a^n$ (resp. $a^n{\neq}0$) is left morphic. A ring R is called left ${\pi}$-morphic (resp. left G-morphic) if every element is left ${\pi}$-morphic (resp. left G-morphic). The Morita invariance of left ${\pi}$-morphic (resp. left G-morphic) rings is discussed. Several relevant properties are proved. In particular, it is shown that a left Noetherian ring R with $M_4(R)$ left G-morphic or $M_2(R)$ left morphic is QF. Some known results of left morphic rings are extended to left G-morphic rings and left ${\pi}$-morphic rings.

  • In this note, we prove that an Artinian local ring is G-semisimple (resp., SG-semisimple, 2-SG-semisimple) if and only if its maximal ideal is G-projective (resp., SG-projective, 2-SG-projective). As a corollary, we obtain the global statement of the above. We also give some examples of local G-semisimple rings whose maximal ideals are n-generated for some positive integer n.

  • Observing that a locally weakly Lindel$\"{o}$f space is a quasi-F space if and only if it has an F-base, we show that every dense weakly Lindel$\"{o}$f subspace of an almost-p-space is C-embedded, every locally weakly Lindel$\"{o}$f space with a cocompact F-base is a locally compact and quasi-F space and that if Y is a dense weakly Lindel$\"{o}$f subspace of X which has a cocompact F-base, then $\beta$Y and X are homeomorphic. We also show that for any a separating nest generated intersection ring F on a space X, there is a separating nest generated intersection ring g on $\phi_{Y}^{-1}$(X) such that QF(w(X, F)) and ($\phi_{Y}^{-1}$(X),g) are homeomorphic and $\phi_{Y}_{x}$(g$^#$)=F$^#$.

  • Raf protein kinases and protein kinase C belong to serine/threonine-specific proteins in the cytoplasin, and are similar to each other in functional structure and the aspect of the distribution of celI. The distribution of raf protein kinase in the cerebrum of Geoclemys reevesfi as studied by using the antibodies against a-raf and c-raf protein kinase which induce the expression of raf fainily oncogenes. In general, raf protein kinases were distributed in such restricted regions as the general pallium, hippocampal formation, pdmordiuin hippocampi, nucleus of lateral olfactory tract, basal amygdaloid nucleus, and bed of stria terminalis. Immunological labeling of c-raf protein kinase was more widespread than that of a-raf. However, the intensity of the labeling of c-raf was lower than that of a-raf. The spherical cells of basal amygdaloid nucleus is a ring-like form, because only the cytoplasm was imunolabeled. Especially, c-raf protein kinase occurred in the cells which contained protein kinase C abundandy such as pyramidal cells and Purkinje cells. This suggests that a- and e-raf protein kinases may synegistically induce carclnoma with myc gene which is activated by protein kinase C.
