Three-Phase Reference Current Generator Employing with Kalman Filter for Shunt Active Power Filter

  • This paper presents a new technique of reference current generator based on Kalman filter (KF) estimator for three-phase shunt active power filter (APF). The stationary reference frame (d-q algorithm) is used to transform the load currents into DC component. The harmonics of load currents are extracted and the three-phase reference currents are generated using KF estimator. The work is simulated using Matlab/Simulink platform. To validate the simulation results, an experimental test-rig have been perform using real-time control dSPACE DS1104. In addition, hysteresis current control was used to generate the switching signal for the correction of the harmonics in the system. The non-linear load were constructed with three-phase rectifier which connected in series with inductor and parallel with resistor and capacitor. The results shows that the new technique of shunt APF embedded with KF is proven to eliminate the harmonics created by the non-linear load with some improvement on the total harmonics distortion (THD).

An Experimental Study on the Flame Structure of Partially Premixed Flame using OH PLIF (OH PLIF를 이용한 부분 예혼합 화염의 화염구조에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • OH radical concentration have been measured in a methane-air partially premixed flames using PLIF. Excitation lines were selected $Q_{1}(6)$ branch, (1,0) band. The system is consisted of Nd:YAG laser, dye laser and frequency doubler to make pump beam for OH radical. On the direct photographs, flame height increases as fuel flow rate and equivalence ratio increase. And on the PLIF images, OH radical is distributed from premixed flame front to nonpremixed flame front through the flame structure with all equivalence ratio. OH overall concentrations increase with equivalence ratio. At the stoichiometric equivalence ratio, the peak of OH radical concentration exists strongly near the inner cone. As equivalence ratio is changed to richer, OH radical distribution goes thinly and the peak is increased as longitudinal direction. As the flow goes to the downstream, OH radical concentration decreases and broadens, because OH radical reacts with another species after OH formation at the initial oxidization. This phenomenon resembles radial distribution. At the l00cc fuel flowrate, the radial peak of OH radical exists from x/R=l.0 to 1.5.

  • In this study, to develop the high power piezoelectric transformer for adaptor, PSN-PNN-PZT system ceramics were formulated as a function of $MnO_2$ addition and its dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. Multi-layer piezoelectric transformer using an excellent composition was also fabricated and its electrical properties evaluated. The composition ceramics added to 0.5wt%$MnO_2$ showed the maximum value of $k_p=0.61$ and $Q_m=1.321$. As the output power of piezoelectric transformer is increased, its temperature rise increased. At the fixed 18W output power, the transformer was stably operated.

  • Elastomeric O-rings have been the most common seals due to their excellent sealing capacity, and availability in costs and sizes. One of the critical applications of O-ring seals is solid rocket motor joint seal where the operating hot gas must be sealed during the combustion. This has long been a design issue to avoid the system failure. For laterally constrained, squeezed and pressurized condition, deformed shape of O-ring was measured by computed tomography method and CCD laser sensor, compared with numerical calculations. As clearance gap changes, sealing performance had been evaluated on peak contact stresses at top, bottom and side contact surfaces. As clearance gap increases, peak contact stresses and contact widths in top and side contact surfaces increase, and the asymmetry of stress distributions is promoted due to pressure increase. It is suggested that peak stress of bottom contact surface can be approximated by simple superposition of peak ones due to squeeze and pressure. Under pressurized condition, sealing performance is dependent on not peak stresses of bottom and side contact surfaces but that of top.

  • RQD is used to evaluate the degree of fracture in the rock mass and is also used as input into rock mass classification scheme, such as RMR and Q-system. However there are some drawbacks of the RQD caused by anisotropy and calculation length. Thus it is important to understand the variation of RQD in 3-D space in order to evaluate the properties of rock mass. The main purpose of this study is to reveal the distribution of RQD in the equal-angle stereo net, to investigate the effects of scanline length and joint frequency and to inquire the effect on the selection of rock mass strength parameters in the numerical analysis. Analysis has been extended to field joint survey data using same method. The results can be applied to contribute for more accurate interpretation of the results of engineering geological survey for better design and construction work.

  • The maximum output torque developed by the machine is dependent on the allowable current rating and maximum voltage that the inverter can supply to the machine. Therefore, to use the inverter capacity fully, it is desirable to use the control scheme considering the voltage and current limit condition, which can yield the maximum torque per ampere over the entire speed range. The paper is proposed maximum torque control of induction motor drive using adaptive learning neuro fuzzy controller and artificial neural network(ANN). The control method is applicable over the entire speed range and considered the limits of the inverter's current and voltage rated value. For each control mode, a condition that determines the optimal d, q axis current $_i_{ds}$, $i_{qs}$ for maximum torque operation is derived. The proposed control algorithm is applied to induction motor drive system controlled adaptive learning neuro fuzzy controller and ANN controller, the operating characteristics controlled by maximum torque control are examined in detail. Also, this paper is proposed the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of the adaptive learning neuro fuzzy controller and ANN controller.

  • The effects of glass addition on the densification and the microwave properties of $(Ba_{0.5}Pb_{0.5})Nd_2Ti_5O_{14}$ dielectric system were studied. When 2~3 wt% of borosilicate glass were added, the density increased and the better microwave properties were obtained. When a sample was sintered at $950^{\circ}C$ with 3 wt% of glass, the quality factor and the temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency of the specimen were 4500 and +10 $ppm/^{\circ}C$, respectively. The dielectric constant, however, decreased from 90 to 75 with glass addition.

  • In this study, $(1-x)(Na_{0.52}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037})(Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037})O_3-x(Bi_{0.5}(Na_{0.7}K_{0.3})_{0.5}ZrO_3$ ceramics were fabricated by BNKZ substitution using a conventional solid-state method to develop excellent lead-free piezoelectric ceramics for piezoelectric actuators; their dielectric and piezoelectric properties were then investigated. All specimens were in the orthorhombic phase. $NKL-NSTO_3$ ceramics with x=0.01 showed excellent piezoelectric properties. The density (${\rho}$), piezoelectric charge constant ($d_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient ($k_p$), mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$), and dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_r$) had optimized values of $4.56g/cm^3$, 208 pC/N, 0.43, 96, and 975, respectively.

  • Cytoskeleton components in living cell bear large compressive force and are responsible in maintaining the cell shape. Actually these filaments are surrounded by viscoelastic media within the cell. This surrounding, viscoelastic media affects the buckling behavior of these filaments when external force is applied on these filaments by exerting continuous pressure in opposite directions to the incipient buckling of the filaments. In this article a mechanical model is applied to account the effects of this media on the buckling behavior of intermediate filaments network of cytoskeleton. The model immeasurably associates; filament's bending rigidity, adjacent system elasticity, and cytosol viscosity with buckling wavelength, buckling growth rate and buckling amplitude of the filaments.

  • 국립국어원의 온라인 가나다 서비스는 한국어에 대한 다양한 질문과 정확한 답변을 제공한다. 만일 새롭게 등록되는 질문에 대해 유사한 질문을 자동으로 찾을 수 있다면, 질문자는 빠른 시간에 답변을 얻을 수 있고 서비스 관리자는 수동 답변 작성의 부담을 덜 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 국립국어원 질의응답게시판의 특성을 분석하여 질문의 주제를 6가지로 분류하고, 주제 분류 정보와 벡터 유사도, 수열 유사도를 결합하여 유사한 질문을 검색하는 시스템을 제안한다. 평가에서는 본 논문에서 제시한 주제 분류 정보를 활용한 결과 1위 정답 검색 정확률이 향상되는 결과를 얻었다. 최종 실험에서는 MRR이 0.62, 정답이 1위, 5위내에 검색될 확률은 각각 54.2%, 78.2%를 보였다.
