  • In this paper, we present more efficient Protocol than that of Ford and Kaliski. We use RSA in the roaming protocol and it Plays decisive role to reduce the total time cost. We show that our protocol is safe from various attacks. We present the performance of our protocol and verify that This protocol needs fewer secure channel like SSL than other protocols.

  • The illegal leakage of enterprise digital confidential information will threaten the enterprise with bankruptcy. Today since most small-and-medium companies have no capability to fight against illegally compromising their critically confidential documents in spite of knowing the leakage of them, strongly safe distribution system of the digital confidential documents should be designed so in secure as to prevent any malicious intent of embezzlement from accessing the critical information. Current DRM-based protection system is not always perfect to protect the digital secrets, even seems to leave the secrets open. Therefore our study has analyzed the illegal leakage paths that hackers attack against and the vulnerability of the current protection systems. As result, we study the group communication based system architecture satisfying the security conditions to make even legitimate working employee keep out of the confidential documents, without performance degradation. The main idea of this architecture is to stay every secrets in encrypted form; to isolate the encrypted documents from the crypto-key; to associate every entity with one activity and to authenticate every entity with DSA-based public key system; multiple authentication method make hackers too busy to get a privilege to access the secrets with too many puzzle pieces. This paper deal with the basic architectural structure for the above issues.

  • The ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptogrphics), one of the representative Public Key encryption algorithms, is used in Digital Signature, Encryption, Decryption and Key exchange etc. The key operation of an Elliptic curve cryptosystem is a scalar multiplication, hence the design of a scalar multiplier is the core of this paper. Although an Integer operation is computed in infinite field, the scalar multiplication is computed in finite field through adding points on Elliptic curve. In this paper, we implemented scalar multiplier in Elliptic curve based on the finite field $GF(2^{163})$. And we verified it on the Embedded digital system using Xilinx FPGA connected to an EISC MCU(Agent 2000). If my design is made as a chip, the performance of scalar multiplier applied to Samsung $0.35\;{\mu}m$ Phantom Cell Library is expected to process at the rate of 8kbps and satisfy to make up an encryption processor for the Embedded digital information home system.

  • This paper describes tile design and implementation of contact and contactless If card OS(Operating System) for Java Card, namely JCOS(Java Card 05). The JCOS complies with ISO/IEC 7816 and IS0/1EC 14443 standards. The JCOS conforms to Java Card 2.1.2 specifications. The JCOS is running on 32-bit ARMTTDMI with public key crypto-coprocssor. This paper describes only the dual-interface protocol of the JCOS which supports contact and contactless applications in a single chip. The JCOS has been completed with our sample banking service and access control service in ETRI up to now.

  • This paper introduces a case study of designing a cryptographic processor dedicated to VPN/SSL system. The designed processor supports not only block cipher algorithm, including 3DES, AES, and SEED, but also 163 bit ECC public key crypto algorithm. Moreover, we adopted PCI Master interface in the design, which guarantees fast computation of cryptographic algorithm prevalent in general information security systems.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a design for security network system passing through the non-security network which is commonly used for various networking services. Based on the security requirements which are assumed that the large classified data are bi-transmitted between a server and several terminals remotely located, some application methods of security techniques are suggested such as the network separation technique, the scale-down application technique of certification management system based on the PKI(Public Key Infrastructure), the double encryption application using the crypto-equipment and the asymmetric keys encryption algorithm, unrecoverable data deleting technique and system access control using USB device. It is expected that the application of this design technique for the security network causes to increase the efficiency of the existing network facilities and reduce the cost for developing and maintaining of new and traditional network security systems.

  • RSA is one of the most popular public-key crypto-system in various applications. This paper addresses a high-speed RSA crypto-processor with modified radix-4 modular multiplication algorithm and Chinese Remainder Theorem(CRT) using Carry Save Adder(CSA). Our design takes 0.84M clock cycles for a 1024-bit modular exponentiation and 0.25M cycles for a 512-bit exponentiations. With 0.18um standard cell library, the processor achieves 365Kbps for a 1024-bit exponentiation and 1,233Kbps for two 512-bit exponentiations at a 300MHz clock rate.

  • An Edwards curve cryptography (EdCC) core supporting point scalar multiplication (PSM) on Edwards curves of Edwards25519 and Edwards448 was designed. For area-efficient implementation, finite field multiplier based on word-based Montgomery multiplication algorithm was designed, and the extended twisted Edwards coordinates system was adopted to implement point operations without division operation. As a result of synthesizing the EdCC core with 100 MHz clock, it was implemented with 24,073 equivalent gates and 11 kbits RAM, and the maximum operating frequency was estimated to be 285 MHz. The evaluation results show that the EdCC core can compute 299 and 66 PSMs per second on Edwards25519 and Edwards448 curves, respectively. Compared to the ECC core with similar structure, the number of clock cycles required for 256-bit PSM was reduced by about 60%, resulting in 7.3 times improvement in computational performance.

  • Nowadays, a patient's private medical data which is exposed to the outside world has a severe effect on not only the patient's private life but also his/her social activities and environment. So, it is important to securely protect the patient's private medical data from the illegal manipulation. This paper studies the method to store the electronic prescription information in an IC card. For that, an access control for users, such as a doctor, a nurse, a medical institute member, a pharmacy, a pharmacist, or a patient, is proposed to access the data stored in an IC card. The certificate is issued using the Crypto API of a certificate management model supported by Windows 2000. The public/private key is created by the Cryptographic Service Provider program, and the electronic prescription is signed using the digital signature. The proposed system, therefore, can improve the quality of medical services by securing the safety and integrity of the electronic prescription, stored in an IC card.
