This study examines the low performance of state civil servants related (ASN) to the management of public transportation at the Directorate of Road Transport (DRT), Ministry of Transportation, Indonesia. This study surveyed 103 ASNs, using a quantitative approach using the Amos SEM software. The results showed that Knowledge Sharing (KS) and Work Engagement (WE) directly influenced Innovative Work Behavior (IWB) as well as Job Performance (JP). Meanwhile, IWB had a significant, direct effect on JP and acts as a full mediator in the effect of KS and WE on JP. The descriptive data obtained also showed that respondents' statements based on gender have differences related to the IWB variable, where on average, women were better than men. However, for other variables (JP, KS, and WE), the data showed that, on average, the statements of male respondents were better than women. This study recommends that the DRT pay attention to IWB as a key factor mediating KS and WE towards increasing JP by maintaining the best indicators and improving the weakest indicators. Furthermore, this study recommends that future research refine these results by adding the variables of gender and educational level of the respondents.

High-profile corporate crises have sparked a surge in interest in corporate governance (CG) and corporate reputation (CR). Company governance issues in many companies contribute to corporate failures and a bad reputation. Transparency is the glue that holds any group or organization together while also connecting it to a coalition of key stakeholders. This research focuses on how corporate governance factors (such as board independence, board size, board meetings, and board gender) and company characteristics affect the reputation of Malaysian public listed companies (PLCs). Many studies have looked into the characteristics of corporate governance in Malaysian businesses. However, none of the research has explored this issue using the new reputation measurement. A sample of the 100 largest companies listed on Bursa Malaysia based on their market capitalization for the year ended 2018 was selected. A new measurement, the disclosure index, was created and used to analyze reputation disclosure in the annual report of a corporation. The independent director, board size, and board meeting were statistically significant and associated with the level of reputation disclosure, according to the findings of this study. The results suggest that company directors prioritize good governance and management quality to boost their firm's reputation and acquire a competitive edge.
Gap junctional intercellular communication (GJIC) plays a key role during development, process of tissue differentiation, and in maintenance of adult tissue homeostasis. Neural stem cells leading to formation of cell clusters termed 'neurospheres', can differentiate into neurons, oligodendrocytes, and astrocytes. We investigated the expression levels and distribution of connexin43 (Cx43) and connexin32 (Cx32), abundant gap junctional protein in neural cells and in neurospheres isolated from rat fetus embryonic day (ED) 17. During differentiation of neurospheres, expression of Cx43 and 32 were increased time-dependently within 72 h, and then decreased at 7 day in western blot analysis. TPA-induced inhibition of GJIC was confirmed by decreased fluorescence by SL/DT assay, and induced hyperphosphorylation of Cx43 while no changes in Cx32 levels in western blot assay. Our results indicate that GJIC may be a crucial role in the differentiation of neuronal stem cell. And this GJIC can be inhibited by TPA through the hyperphosphorylation of Cx43.
Purpose - Many countries nowadays look at cloud computing as an opportunity because it holds great advantages for governments. Public sector in Yemen still uses traditional computing. This study tends to explore the factors that would affect cloud computing adoption in government organizations in Yemen. Research design, data and methodology - We used a combination of DOI theory and TOE framework with some changes to suit the context of government organizations. Eight hypotheses were proposed with a questionnaire developed and sent to people in Yemen. 118 responses were collected to assess the hypotheses. Results - Results indicate that Yemen lacks some prerequisites of cloud technology in terms of technological readiness and regulations. The factors: relative advantage, compatibility, security concern, perception of benefits and government support were accepted. Perception of benefits, in particular, is found to affect the decision of adoption. Security concern also showed a direct and indirect influence on cloud adoption in the government. Respondents consider security a key issues of the technology. The factors: complexity, technology readiness and regulatory support were rejected. Conclusions - Based on all analysis results, this study proposed some steps toward adopting cloud computing in Yemen.
Transport is animportant sector of government regulation. Every country has its own transport policy, but European countries are evolving a common transport policy, which has a long history. The establishment of a consistent common policy in the EU's transport sector is still underway. The key motivations of this policy are 1) to establish and implement a common transport policy, 2) to clarify the concept of sustainability in the transport sector, and 3) to integrate transport services into a common infrastructure. One of the policy's objectives is the progressive movement towards sustainable development in the transport section. The EU'stransport policy has recognised that intermodality is a very important competitive tool. The EU's policy thrustin intermodal transport can be catergorised into infrastructure, technology, and standards and rules. However, obstacles to success can be detected. Cases like that of TEN-T and Marco Polo illustrate European intermodal policies in practice. As regards sustainability in the transport sector, intermodality can be an alternative solution to the increasing imbalance between transport modes and congestion arising from increased road use. Sustainability has been emphasised by the EU, which aims to establish intermodality in its future alternative transport systems while fostering sustainable development in the transport sector. Therefore, intermodality can be defined as a general trend in the current transport market, drawing interest from public institutions and transport-related market players. The EU has thus made an effort to facilitate intermodality in its territory, materialised through various policy options. Therefore, looking into the EU's intermodal transport policies is worthwhile, as doing so can provide useful lessons for all concerned parties.
Environmental fate of ionizable organic pollutants such as perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) are of increasing interest but has not been well understood because of uncertain values for parameters related with atmospheric interphase partitioning behavior. In the present study, not only the values for air-water partition coefficient (KAW) and dissociation constant (pKa) of PFAAs were induced by adjusting to in situ measurements of air-water distribution coefficient between vapor phase and rainwater but also gas-particle partition coefficients were also estimated using three-phase partitioning model of ionizable organic pollutants, in situ measurements of PFAAs in aerosol and air vapor phase, and obtained parameter values. The pKa values of PFAAs we obtained were close to the minimum values suggested in literature except for perfluorooctane sulfonic acids, and COSMOtherm-modeled KAW values were assessed to more appropriate among suggested values. When applying parameter values we obtained, it was predicted that air particle-associated fate and transport of PFAAs could be negligible and PFAAs could distribute ubiquitously along the transection from urban to rural region by pH-dependent phase transfer in air. Our study is expected to have some implications in prediction of the environmental redistribution of other ionizable organic compounds.

A series of centrifuge model tests were performed to investigate the behavior of piled bridge abutment subjected to lateral soil movements induced by the construction of approach embankment. In these tests, both the depth of soft clay and the rate of embankment construction are chosen as key parameters to examine the effects on lateral soil movements. The depth of soft clay layer varies from 5.2 m to 11.6 m, and the rate of embankment construction has two types of staged construction(1m/30days, 1m/15days) and instant construction. It is shown that, the distribution of lateral flow induced by stage embankment construction has a trapezoidal distribution. And practical guidelines to check the possibility of some lateral movement of piled abutment were investigated. The validity of the proposed guidelines by centrifuge test was compared with the observed performance by lateral movement index, F(Japan Highway Public Corporation) and modified I index(Korea Highway Corporation). Based on the results obtained, the critical values of F and modified I, as a practical guidelines, are proposed to 0.03 and 2.0, respectively.

This paper deals with free vibration analysis of non-uniform column resting on elastic foundations and subjected to follower force at its free end. The internal pores and graphene platelets (GPLs) are distributed in the matrix according to different patterns. The model is proposed with material parameters varying in the thickness of column to achieve graded distributions in both porosity and nanofillers. The elastic modulus of the nanocomposite is obtained by using Halpin-Tsai micromechanics model. The differential quadrature method as an efficient and accurate numerical approach is used to discretize the governing equations and to implement the boundary conditions. It is observed that the maximum vibration frequency obtained in the case of symmetric porosity and GPL distribution, while the minimum vibration frequency is obtained using uniform porosity distribution. Results show that for better understanding of mechanical behavior of nanocomposite column, it is crucial to consider porosities inside the material structure.

Purpose: Numerous prior researchers have identified only that sustainable management of ESG factors promotes business value creation and shapes enhanced innovation performance. This study aims to determine the positive relationships between ESG management and economic development, focusing on the mutual benefits and risks and the various stakeholders involved in managing change. Research design, data and methodology: This study selected the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) statement as a key methodology. Literature search used the following databases: Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The quality assessment criteria for selected prior studies ranged from issues like design, sample size and the representativeness of the subjects, validity of measurements, and analytical strength. Results: The findings of this study indicates that there are four critical solutions for economic development triggers using ESG strategy, such as (1) ESG and Innovation-Driven Growth, (2) ESG and Human Capital Development, (3) ESG and Operational Efficiency, (4) ESG and Market Opportunities. This study insists that public-private partnerships are critical for enhancing sustainable economic development and meeting the needs of society. Conclusions: It is, therefore, important for governments and policymakers to play a critical role in setting the proper framework that allows for the uptake of ESG and an enabling environment for sustainable economic development.
