국내 캐릭터산업의 발전과 함께 산업적 콘텐츠로써의 캐릭터와 함께 공공캐릭터에 대한 관심도가 높아지고 있다. 공공캐릭터란 특정 지역, 기관, 단체, 조직, 행사 등의 구성원이 공유하거나 지향하는 상징성을 함축적으로 표현하고 있는 비영리적 캐릭터이다. 특정의 개인이나 단체의 이윤을 목적으로 하는 상업디자인과 구별되며, 디자인의 주체와 객체, 지향하는 가치, 역할 등에 있어 시민의 안녕과 행복과 같은 사회적인 가치를 추구하는 공공디자인의 목적과 부합하는 역할을 부여받았다. 공공캐릭터는 지자체 캐릭터 개발을 중심으로 발전하기 시작했으나, 대부분의 캐릭터가 활용되지 못했다. 그러나 공공캐릭터에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 캐릭터를 활용하여 지역에 대한 고유성과 정체성을 표현하기 위한 수단으로 다시금 환영받고 있다. 본 논문은 공공캐릭터가 가지는 지역에 대한 정체성 표현을 장소특정성(Site-Specificity)에 대입하여 연구해보고자 한다. 장소특정성은 동시대미술에서 장소에 초점을 맞춘 미술, 특정 장소 및 상황에 의해 의미가 생성되는 작품을 의미한다. 현재 공공캐릭터는 주로 한 지역 또는 기관을 대표하는 역할을 맡은 바, 어느 공동체 속에 속해있느냐에 따라 정체성과 그에 따른 가치를 판단할 수 있다. 이를 통해 지역 속 캐릭터가 공공디자인으로써 어떠한 사회적 의미를 가지는지에 대해 연구하고자 한다.

본 연구는 주민센터 공무원들과 지역주민들의 보건사업에 대한 관심차이를 조사하여 향후 주민센터 공무원과 지역주민의 보건사업에 대한 관심도를 제고하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 주민센터 공무원 집단 46명과 지역주민 107명을 대상으로 하여 세부 보건사업에 대한 관심도를 조사하였고, 자료 분석은 카이검정(Chi-Square)과 독립표본 t-검정을 실시하였다. 분석결과를 종합하면, 주민센터 공무원 담당자들이 지역주민에 비해 보건사업에 대한 관심도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 보건사업 관심도 평균 차이에서도 지역주민이 주민센터 공무원 보다 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 앞으로 주민센터가 보다 보건과 복지의 통합적인 역할을 담당하기 위해서는 공무원들의 역할을 확대시켜 나아가야 한다. 이를 위해서는 주민센터 공무원 및 지역주민들의 보건사업 등에 관한 관심도를 높여 통합적이고 유기적인 서비스가 이루어져야 하고, 지역주민들의 보건사업에 대한 능동적인 참여가 이루어져야 한다. 이는 주민센터 공무원과 지역주민의 보건사업에 대한 관심도를 높이기 위해서 다양한 모색이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.

In recent, the concept of management is emphasizing the aspects of social welfare, especially in permanent public rental housing that most of the residents are very low income households. Although the quality of service for the residents of permanent public rental housing was improved comparatively, it still needs to continually change in response to the needs of residents. To figure out the better way of supporting the service for the residents of permanent public rental housing, this study examined the role and function of management office and the residents' perception. Two types of survey questionnaire (residents/staffs of management office) were developed for the research purpose. A sample of 89 management office staffs and 111 residents were used for the data analysis. The result showed that both of residents and management office staffs recognized the need for the participation of residents in management process.

Melvil Dewey는 도서관운동가, 사상가, 교육자 그리고 선각자 등 다양한 측면에서 평가받고 있다. 그러나 교육가로서 그의 생애는 도서관계에서는 관심 밖의 영역으로 남아있다. Dewey의 도서관 사상의 근원은 학교교육과 가정교육의 두 가지 측면으로 구분해서 볼 수 있다. 이러한 측면에서, Dewey는 도서관이 교육분야에서 수행해야 하는 기능과 역할 등의 방향을 설정하는데 큰 역할을 담당하였다. 하지만, Dewey의 이러한 교육관에 대해서는 국내 연구에서는 조명되지 않고 있다. 이러한 측면에서, 본 연구는 공공도서관에서의 생애교육을 Dewey의 교육사상을 중심으로 고찰해 보고자 한다.

Groundwater accounts for more than 10% of the total water supply in Korea. However, the contribution of groundwater to public water supply systems has been poorly played role throughout the country except for Jeju Island. Compared with the groundwater uses in foreign countries, the pattern of groundwater use in Korea seems to be very deformed and unreasonable. Currently, the development and use of groundwater in Korea are mostly carried out by the individuals, and public sectors such as central and local governments are not actively involved in such activities. Private groundwater use and management will continue to cause groundwater depletion and pollution problems. It is necessary to actively enhance the role of public authorities in groundwater managements by engaging precise hydrogeological surveys and proper economic evaluation in the development and operation of groundwater sources. Also, in order to solve the problems that public water supply systems overly rely on the surface water sources, it is necessary to take policies that require the water supply companies to secure a variety of water sources.

This study aims to explore and understand the role of knowledge intensive service activities in the industrial innovation of Korea. It analyzes public and private service inputs to the innovation of manufacturers. The contribution of KISs to the innovation of both service suppliers and manufacturers was analyzed by using survey questionnaire. The results of the analysis revealed that the contribution of KISs to the innovation capability of manufacturers is significant. Large manufacturers that hold internal capability to supply KISs are also active in using external KISs. The manufacturing firms that utilized KISs intensively proved to be more innovative than those did not. Heavy KISs users also entertained benefits of capability enhancement as they improved monitoring and achieved efficient application of knowledge asset into product and process innovation. The role of public KISs in the innovation of manufacturers appeared to be indirect and done mainly through education and public R&D activities. Direct input, such as public software service, was not utilized as much in service suppliers themselves. The major reason is that public KISs may not be relevant to their actual needs. Manufacturers have implemented both tighter integration of familiar KISs and loosely coupled unfamiliar KISs.

본 연구는 부산광역시 블로그 '쿨부산'을 대상으로 지자체 PR커뮤니케이션이 지자체와 공중간의 관계성과 지자체 이미지에 미치는 영향과 조직-공중관계성의 매개역할을 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 소셜 미디어 정보특성 중 '상호작용성'과 '흥미성'은 조직-공중관계성과 지자체 이미지에 유의한 정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 조직-공중관계성의 하위요인들 중 '균형성'이 지자체 이미지에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 지자체 소셜 미디어 정보특성의 지자체 이미지에 대한 영향력에 있어 조직-공중관계성의 매개역할이 입증되었다.

This study was carried out to explore the direction of job involvement of public health nurses and explore the way for improving services of public health center in Korea. The subjects were consisted of 164 nurses who were working at public health centers in Chonbuk. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaire from Jan. 15 to Jan. 27, 1996. The instrument used in this study was Likert-type scale which Job Involvement Scale developed by Kanungo. The questionnaires of organizational and job characteristic were made through reviewing literatures. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSSPC+ program. Major findings were as follows : 1. Mean scores for job involvement were 3.0879 on a 5 point scale. 2. In the personal variables, professional experience(t=-2.18, p=.031), position(t=2.34, p=.021), and age(F=-1.94, p=.038) were statistically significant in job involvement. 3. The variables to job characteristic were statistically significant in job involvement: job challenge (r=.4785, p=.000), role ambiguity (r=-.3141, p=.000), task significance (r=.2714, p=.000), and role conflict(r=-.2166, p=.003). 4. The variables to organizational characteristic were statistically significant in job involvement : formalization(r=.3184, p=.000) and human centered organizational characteristic (r=.2450, p=.001).

본 연구는 개정된 새 도서관법에 의한 지역대표도서관의 역할 규명을 위한 것으로, 특정 지역을 선정하여 그 지역대표도서관이 해당 지역 공공도서관 발전 도모를 위해 필요한 역할을 중심으로 진행되었다. 연구에서는 지역대표도서관의 본질적 기능과 해당 지역의 현장 사서들의 인식 및 환경적 요인을 바탕으로 하여 지원적 역할과 협력적 역할을 찾고자 하였다. 그 결과 협력적 역할로는 5개 지역의 특성화된 지역거점도서관의 활용으로, 지원적 역할로는 전북지역 지식정보원의 구축에 의한 교육 및 문화행사의 지원 등을 도모하도록 한다.

This paper attempts to examine how woman's role defined by the public discourse took issue with private desires of an individual woman in Tabitha Gilman Tenney's Female Quixotism (1801). Tenney borrows and transforms the ideas of quixotism and picaresque from Don Quixote, which involve an inherent paradox in the post-Revolutionary America. The Republican Ideology emphasized women's crucial role as guardians of family virtue and molders of republican citizens. Therefore, women were not allowed to travel outside of the domestic space as freely as a male picaro could do. In fact, the"adventures"depicted in the novel are constituted of a series of courtship in which Dorcasina, the heroine, unceasingly tries but fails to find a husband fit for her romantic idea about love and marriage formed by novel reading. However, the process shows that a variety of socially disadvantaged groups as well as women were excluded from the public space of the post-Revolutionary America. This half-a-century quest does not end with a conventional happy marriage, but Dorcasina finds herself a disillusioned old maid, resigned to a life of charity. Yet the ending exposes social contradictions inherent in early Republic of America, by showing how an individual woman's life was prescribed and limited by the dominant public discourse.
