리더와의 접촉빈도와 심리적 거리가 직무 디스트레스에 미치는 영향: 구성원이 인지하는 셀프리더십의 매개효과 (Contact Frequency and Psychological Distance between Leaders: Job Distress and Mediation through Employees' Perceived Self-Leadership)

  • Purpose - This study aims to investigate a solution to reduce the negative reactions arising from the performance of duties or the job distress of workers in the service industry, because human resource statistics regarding workers in the service sector have been unreported, while concerns regarding exposure to emotional exertion and poor working conditions have been continuously increasing. Research design, data, and methodology - This study specifically focused on workers in highway service areas. It differs from previous studies because it involves the perspective of the person-organization fit and regards workers' cognition of leaders through the psychological distance toward the leader and the contact frequency between workers and leaders within the framework of the leader-individual fit. Moreover, this study highlights the role of the self-leadership of workers as an important factor that becomes manifested in the individual-level fit to the organization. Hence, this study investigates whether the positive role of the above factors, in turn, could reduce job distress. Workers from highway service areas in Gyeonggi-do province provided data; 141 valid questionnaires are collected. SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 19.0 were used to test the reliability and validity of constructs. Simple regression, multiple regression, and 3 step mediation tests were used to test the hypotheses after the correlation tests. Results - Results indicated that leader-member contact frequency and psychological distance have negative effects on job distress but positive effects on self-leadership. A mediation test revealed that self-leadership, in the relationships between contact frequency and job distress and between psychological distance and job distress, resulted in partial mediation and full mediation, respectively. Conclusions - The result can be understood through two different possible explanations. First, service area workers generally possess a positive perspective toward their leaders. This can be interpreted to mean that increased contact frequency and psychological distance would be considered as supports from the leader, rather than intrusive controls or management schemes. Therefore, the management in highway service areas should invest efforts in increasing contact frequency as well as maximizing psychological similarities by adopting the viewpoints of workers in terms of moral and ethical management, to reduce the workers' job distress. The results relating to self-leadership also indicate that increased contact frequency must be accompanied by intentions for the effective promotion of workers' self-leadership. It also signifies the necessity of a strategic approach by leaders to induce workers to perceive "in-group"ness as suggested both by the similarity-attraction theory and by the social identity theory. In addition, the results of the mediation test of self-leadership indicate that because workers' self-leadership activates upon increased contact frequency by the leader, it should not be a means of control and should not be utilized only from the perspective of management. It is also suggested that strategies such as transfer of authority could have a positive effect in promoting the expansion of self-influence from workers.

Impact of Socioeconomic, Behavioral and Psychological Factors for Children's Self-Reported Oral Symptoms

  • This study investigated factors affecting the subjective experience of oral symptoms among 2,285 elementary school students in the fourth and sixth grades using the Korean survey on the Health of Youth and Children in 2010. After conducting chi-square and Mann-Whitney U tests, we performed multiple logistic regression analysis to determine the factors affecting children's experience of oral symptoms. We found that the factors most frequently associated with the subjective experience of more oral symptoms were lower tooth brushing frequency, greater intake of foods that cause dental caries, higher stress levels, and lower levels of support from friends. In conclusion, determinants of children's oral health, such as children's oral health behaviors and psychological factors must be considered in a multifaceted approach to developing programs to promote oral health among children.

아동의 학업성취 관련변인의 인과적 구조분석 (Causal Relationships in Children's Academic Achievement and Related Variables)

  • In order to define their relative influence, this study analyzed causal relationships between academic achievement of elementary school students and such related variables as self-esteem and the psychological and economic environment of the home, including clarification of other significant variables affecting academic achievement. Participants were a sample of 485 5th grade students from 8 elementary schools in Busan. Correlation, analysis of covariance structure modeling, and model-fitness tests were applied to the data. Results indicated that the psychological environment of the home has the most significant influence on the academic achievement of children, and the economic environment of the home and self-esteem have relatively low or indirect influence.

초등학교 교사의 심리검사 이해도와 활용도 (The Degrees of Understanding and Utilization of Elementary School Teacher's Psychological Test)

  • 이 연구는 학교에서 심리검사가 효과적으로 활용되는 토대를 마련하기 위한 기초연구로서 초등학교에서 사용되는 심리검사의 이용실태, 교사의 심리검사 이해도와 활용도, 그리고 현재 실시되고 있는 심리검사의 개선을 위해 요구되는 사항과 초등학교에서 요구하는 검사도구의 방향에 대해 조사 연구하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 심리검사의 주요 활용목적은 검사종류별로 다르게 나타났으며 초등학교에서 주로 활용되고 있는 검사는 진로 적성 검사, 인성 성격검사, 학습검사, 창의성검사, 지능검사 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사는 심리검사와 관련하여 검사 매뉴얼 의존도가 높았으며 T점수에 대한 이해도가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 초등학교 교사의 심리검사 이해를 저해하는 요인에는 교사의 전문적인 지식의 부족이었으며 이를 개선하기 위해서는 심리검사 도구에 대한 사전 교사 연수가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 교사의 심리검사 활용도는 이해도에 비해 낮게 나타났는데 교사의 이러한 활용에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 검사 후 추후지도 방법에 대한 이해가 부족한 것이 가장 큰 요인이었고 이를 개선하기 위해서는 검사 후 보다 구체적인 지도방법에 대한 안내가 필요한 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 교사의 상담관련 교육과정 이수 여부에 따라 심리검사의 이해도와 활용도에 차이가 나타나는지 교차분석을 실시해 본 결과 몇 가지 검사에 대해서 이해도에는 차이가 나타났지만 활용도에서는 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 마지막으로, 현재 초등학교에서 실시하는 심리검사와 관련해서 교사 대상의 연수가 가장 필요한 것으로 나타났고 초등학교에서 요구되는 검사도구에는 학습관련 검사와 부적응검사 등이 있었다.

모야모야 질환 아동의 인지기능 및 정서적인 특성 분석 (The Characteristics of Intellectual and Psychological in the Children with Moyamoya Disease)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the intellectual and psychological features of children with Moyamoya disease who were patients in the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery of Severance Hospital. Methods: From December 2010 through December 2012, 63 patients with diagnoses of Moyamoya disease and 59 children in a normal group were enrolled. This study was conducted using the Korean-Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Rey-Kim Memory Test for children, Korean Child Behavior Checklist and Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory$^{TM}$4.0. Results: The results showed that the intellectual and psychological profiles of children with Moyamoya disease were lower than the average of the normal control group. The tested patients showed significantly lower scores for Performance Intelligence Quotient cognition level. Also, in terms of quality of life, children with Moyamoya disease had lower levels of physical and school functionality. The results were in line with those of previous studies involving psychological tests of children with chronic diseases. Conclusion: Considering the intellectual and psychological characteristics of children with Moyamoya disease, integrated psychological intervention plans including elements such as supportive therapy for patients and programs for parental education are required.

간호대학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 그릿이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Perceived Parenting Style and Grit on Nursing Student's Psychological Well-being)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생들이 지각하는 부모의 양육태도, 그릿이 심리적 안녕감의 관계를 파악하고 간호대학생의 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향력을 조사하였다. 연구대상자는 C도의 J대학에 재학 중인 171명의 간호대학생으로 구성되었다. 자료수집은 설문지를 통하여 2018년 9월 3일부터 21일까지 수집되었으며, SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson의 상관관계, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 심리적 안녕감 점수는 3.49점으로 부모의 양육태도(r=.324, p<.01)와 그릿(r=.668, p<.01) 간의 유의한 정적상관관계를 보여주었다. 이들 변수는 심리적 안녕감에 대해 48.7%의 설명력을 보였고 이 중 그릿이 가장 높은 설명력을 보여주었다(R2=.487, p<.001). 따라서 간호대학생들의 그릿을 높일 수 있는 방안마련이 요구되며 지지적인 양육태도가 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.

목표설정 훈련이 배우의 행복감에 미치는 효과:단일사례연구 (The Effect of Goal Setting Training on Actor's Feeling of Happiness:Single Case Study)

  • 이 연구는 단일사례 연구 설계를 활용하여 배우의 행복감 향상에 심리기술훈련 중 목표설정훈련이 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 그 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이 연구의 대상은 40대 후반의 유명배우로 자신의 심리역량 강화를 위해 스포츠 심리상담가인 본 연구자에게 개인 심리훈련을 받았던 내담자이다. 목표설정훈련 프로그램은 60~90분씩 총 8회기로 진행되었다. 연구의 목적을 위해 Argyle이 개발한 옥스퍼드 행복 척도를 사용하여 사전·사후 검사를 하였으며, 이와 더불어 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 그 결과 목표설정 훈련은 배우의 행복감 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

요양병원 간호사의 치매 행동심리증상 부담감, 치매태도 및 감정노동이 돌봄행위에 미치는 영향 (Impacts of Burden from Behavioral Psychological Symptoms of Dementia, Dementia Attitude, and Emotional Labor on Caring Behavior of Nurses in Long-term Care Hospital)

  • Purpose: This study was a descriptive research to identify the relationships among burden from behavioral psychological symptoms of dementia, dementia attitude, emotional labor and nurse's caring behavior as well as to clarify factors that affect caring behavior of nurses in long-term care hospital. Methods: For the research, this study collected data from July 8 to July 20, in 2019 with 214 nurses who worked at 10 long-term care hospitals in Chungbuk. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, Mann-Whitney U test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS 23.0 program. Results: Factors influencing caring behavior of nurses in long-term care hospital were dementia attitudes (β=.549, p<.001), burden from behavioral psychological symptoms of dementia (β=.242, p<.001) and marital status (β=.134, p=.017). These factors explained 33.9% of caring behavior (F=37.35, p<.001). Conclusion: Dementia attitudes were confirmed to be the main variable influencing nurse's caring behavior. Therefore, to improve the caring behavior of dementia patient, it is considered that the development of programs to improve dementia attitudes and in-depth understanding regarding the behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia is necessary.

정신장애인 동료지원가의 심리적 임파워먼트, 지각된 낙인, 사회적 지지가 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Psychological Empowerment, Perceived Stigma, and Social Support on Job Satisfaction among Peer Support Workers for Individuals with Mental Disorders)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors influencing job satisfaction among peer support workers who assist individuals with mental disorders. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study design was used. The participants included 134 peer support workers who were active in the community. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires between April 22 and June 5, 2024. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 26.0. Results: The results indicated that psychological empowerment (β=.62; p<.001) and perceived stigma (β=-.17; p=.011) were significant influencing factors influencing job satisfaction. The regression model accounted for 53.6% of the variance in job satisfaction (F=52.17; p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that psychological empowerment and perceived stigma are important determinants of job satisfaction among peer support workers for individuals with mental illness. Therefore, interventions that enhance psychological empowerment and reduce perceived stigma are essential to improving job satisfaction for these peer support workers.

영양상태와 인지 및 인성 기능과의 상관성에 관한 연구-국민학교 아동을 대상으로- (A Study on Relationships Between Nutritional Status and Psychological Functionings of Elementary School Children in Seoul)

  • 본 연구는 국민학교 어린이를 대상으로 식품 및 영양소 섭취량조사, 신체 미치 임상조사, 그리고 인지 및 인성검사를 실시하여 영양 섭취 상태와 인지 인성기능과의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 조사결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 경제적으로 중류이상의 생활을 하고있는 Y 국민학교 어린이가 대체로 경제적 환경이 중류이하인 B 국민학교 어린이보다 인지 능력이 유의적으로 높으며 신장 및 체중 평균치도 Y 국민학교 어린이가 높게 나타났다. 2) 영양소 섭취량과 인지기능과의 관계에 있어서 조사된 각 영양소 ( 동물성 단백질, 지방, 비타민 A. 리보플라빈 등 ) 와 인지 기능변인 (IQ, 수리력, 공간지각력, 지각속도, 도형추리력등 )에 따라 차이는 있으나 유의적인 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 그러나 인성 기능과의 상관성은 거의 보이지 않았다. 3) 대부분의 영양소 섭취량과 신장, 체중 및 두위와의 관계에서는 유의적으로 양의 상관관계를 보였으며 이는 영양 섭취상태와 신체발달과 밀접한 관계임을 보여주고 있다. 4) 식습관 균형 정도에 의해 분류된 집단간의 인지 및 인성기능과의 차이를 검증한 결과 균형된 식사를 하고 있는 집단일수록 인지 및 인성기능이 우수하게 나타났다.
