Teleoperation enables an operator to manipulate remote objects. One of the main goals in teleoperation researches is to provide the operator with the feeling of the telepresence, being present at the remote site. Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) has been trying for utilizing the polar station in Svalbard, Norway to receive the KOMPSAT-2 images, which are distributed and applied directly for Europe Space Agency (ESA) users. Now, KARI is operating the SpaceCapture-2 system that provides the KOMPSAT-2 catalogue service via the internet, whereas ESA is operating the EOLI-SA tool that provides access to the online ESA catalogues of Earth Observation (EO) products. This paper describes external interface based on service-oriented architecture in order to provide the KOMPSAT-2 catalogue service from the SpaceCapture-2 system to the EOLI-SA tool. As the KOMPSAT-2 catalogue service is available in the EOLI-SA tool through an implementation of external interface, the extend use of KOMPSAT-2 imageries is expected.

Even though we have greater chances to accomplish successful collaborative design by utilizing recent proliferation of networks, current practices do not fully take advantage of the information infrastructure. There are so much data over the networks, but not enough knowledge about the data is available to users. The main objectives of the product data interface system proposed in this paper are to capture more knowledge on managing product data and to provide users effective search capability. We define the metadata model for product data defined in STEP AP 203 and manage the metadata from product data in a repository system. Because we utilize the standard formats such as STEP for product data and RDF for metadata, the proposed approach can be applied to various fields of industries independently on commercial products.

The purpose of this study is to provide more effective utilization of Internet patent information databases and to help develop an user-friendly interface design. Search functions, level of user-friendliness and user-suport have been closely analyzed, using USPTO, QPAT-US, IBM as well as the relatively well-known domestically-developed Patrom. The factors used in this quality evaluation are those resulting from the combination of CD-ROM databases and traditional databases. The followings are the results. Patrom most effectively utilizes the characteristics of databases. USPTO provides the most adequate Interface for a novice user. QPAT-US employs various auxilary services while IBM uses an assortment of search methods and images. In addition, it is expected that the findings will contribute to the development of user-friendly interface databases.

본 논문은 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스를 이용하여 병렬 프로그래밍 환경을 설계하고 구현하였다. 병렬 프로그램은 다양한 하드웨어의 특성에 따라 또는 프로그램의 특성에 따라 사용자가 병렬 프로그램을 작성하여야 하기 때문에 사용자가 병렬 프로그램을 작성하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제를 도와주기 위하여 기존의 병렬 컴파일러에서 제공되고 있는 텍스트 위주의 병렬화 정보 대신에 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스를 이용하여 편안하고 쉽게 병렬화 정보를 제공하는 병렬 프로그래밍 환경을 제안하고, 구현하였다. 본 논문의 병렬 프로그래밍 환경은 종속성 분석, CFG, HTG, 루프 병렬화 등의 기능을 제공한다.

The patient with a posttraumatic stiffness frequently has a history of prolonged immobilization after a traumatic event. Adhesions in the extraarticular humeroscapular motion interface may be present independently or in combination with intraarticular capsular contractures. A through history and physical examination usually reveal the cause and anatomic location of stiffness. Passive stretching exercise program is effective as a first line treatment, but manipulation under anesthesia is usually not effective because of potential complication such as fracture, tendon rupture and neurologic injury. The humeroscapular motion interface adhesion can be released either open or arthroscopically. The combined technique coupled with an aggressive rehabilitation program can provide more effective motion restoration and pain relief.

This paper describes the design of a network interface controller (NIC) chip which is to be used to support a novel adaptive virtual cut-through routing method for parallel compute systems with direct (i.e., point-to-point) interconnection networks. The NIC chip is designed to provide the interface between a processing node constructed from commercially available microprocessors and another custom-designed router chip, which in turn performs the actual routing of packets to their respective destinations. The NIC, designed using a semi-full-custom VLSi design technique outperform traditional wormhole routing with a minimal amount of hardware overhead. The NIC design has been fully simulated and laid out using a 0.8$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS process.

For improvement in productivity and weld quality, weld seam tracking and welding parameter control are very essential in the welding of a structure which can not be cxactly fit-up due to mismatch, discontinous gap, deflection, etc.. In this study, an automatic weld seam tracking system is developed for I-butt joint structure, and the system consists of XYZ working table, vision sensor and user interface program. In the developed vision sensor system, an image projection algorithm for weld-line detection and an adaptive current control algorithm for gap variation were implemented. The user interface program developed in this study by basing on the objct oriented concept could provide very convenient way to utilize the tracking system with the pull-down menu driven structure. The developed system showed a good seam tracking and weld quality control capability corresponding to deflected weld lines and gap variations.

VoiceXML can provide users with more efficient interface, VUI(VoiceXML User Interface) in web environment than the existing one. But more research and development for designing the Dialog have to be done for VUI to be used in efficient way. That was a main topic in "2002 VoiceXML Conference & Expo". Recently released digital devices have various characteristics such as different screen sizes or different sensors embedded, according to the purpose of their use. So the device types are fragmented and the software should be independently developed for each devices with different characteristics. RRUI are being developed and standardized in progress to provide UI using user information and context information, as one way of solving the device fragmentation. In this paper, we take a look at various standards that classify and utilize user information and context information for RRUI and try to find correlations between MPEG-UD and RRUI.
