Design of Nearest Prototype Classifier by using Differential Evolutionary Algorithm (차분진화 알고리즘을 이용한 Nearest Prototype Classifier 설계)

  • In this paper, we proposed a new design methodology to improve the classification performance of the Nearest Prototype Classifier which is one of the simplest classification algorithm. To optimize the position vectors of the prototypes in the nearest prototype classifier, we use the differential evolutionary algorithm. The optimized position vectors of the prototypes result in the improvement of the classification performance. The new method to determine the class labels of the prototypes, which are defined by the differential evolutionary algorithm, is proposed. In addition, the experimental application covers a comparative analysis including several previously commonly encountered methods.

  • In this paper, we proposed the fuzzy prototype pattern classifier. In the proposed classifier, each prototype is defined to describe the related sub-space and the weight value is assigned to the prototype. The weight value assigned to the prototype leads to the change of the boundary surface. In order to define the prototypes, we use Fuzzy C-Means Clustering which is the one of fuzzy clustering methods. In order to optimize the weight values assigned to the prototypes, we use the Differential Evolutionary Algorithm. We use Linear Discriminant Analysis to estimate the coefficients of the polynomial which is the structure of the consequent part of a fuzzy rule. Finally, in order to evaluate the classification ability of the proposed pattern classifier, the machine learning data sets are used.

  • This paper describes the modelling method of hybrid step motors including magnetic saturation effects of iron parts and the simulation for design of a prototype. Based on the above procedure, the prototype of a step motor is produced and its characteristics are discussed.

  • An expert system is a software program that solves problems traditionally solved only by a human expert. An expert system captures and manipulates the knowledge and strategies that a human expert applies to solve a problem. In ship design work, experience and knowledge are very important. If expert system for ship design could be developed, efficiency of design work would be increased very much through use of it. This paper is concerned with a general characteristics of expert system and development of the prototype expert system for ship design-a system which can be utilized to improve the vertical plane stability of SWATH Ship.

  • In this research. we developed Tire Roller Prototype which is operated hydraulic transmission system. For develop the theoretically computer aided system, we practiced the simulation of hydraulic system and dynamic modeling and will compare with the experiment results of Tire Roller Prototype. We conceptualize the new hydraulic system and derive the equations of motion for dynamic analysis. Finally, we will design the controller, which can manage the hydraulic circuit of servo mechanism system. We define new hydraulic system and integrate modeling of Tire Roller through simulation of h\ulcornerdraulic system and design of controller. From above procedure. Hydraulic transmission system characteristics and target performance can be investigated. To follow the required performance, we select the parts of Tire Roller. We manufactured the prototype of Tire Roller, and will install the equipment for experiment.

  • Since urban facilities have a signigicant meaning that represents the degree of development of nations and cities, it is very important to effectively manage and operate the facilities. In this paper, we propose a context-awareness system for managing urban underground facilities intelligently and develop its algorithm and prototype. The algorithm of the suggested system includes the period from the point when various sensors set up in USN environments sense abnormal signals and make alarms to the point when the context-awareness system analyzes the alarm and sends the analysis results to integrated platform and related modules. We then implement the prototype of the proposed context awareness system and verify the effectiveness of the system by performing unit tests. Our developed prototype will become the basis of actual system development. We expect that the suggested system will be used as a good reference model of related systems managing various types of urban facilities.

  • One of the major technology issues in the ship production processes is the curved hull forming process that is a bottle neck and performed by experienced workers. In order to automate the curved hull forming process, there are a lot of attempts to develop the automation system by many shipbuilding companies and academic labs. However they have some problems which put the developed system in the difficulties to be used and maintained in the yard. In this paper, the problems are formed and solved by using tailored Systems Engineering Process which consists of four steps, those are requirement definition, system design, implementation of subsystem and components, and system integration and verification. A prototype for the proposed system development methodology is implemented. From the consideration of the prototype implemented, it is verified that this methodology can be an alternative to solve the problems.

  • We present the results of performance test and analysis of a laser radar system prototype for mapping applications. The laser radar system consisting of fiber laser and avalanche photo-detector and other related component modules was designed and manufactured. The laser radar system now has the status of a prototype for the testing of laboratory performance. Main performance parameters of the system such as laser source characteristics, range accuracy, extinction ratio, and false alarm rate were experimentally measured and the results were analyzed. It confirmed that the laser radar system prototype is performing at a proper level.

  • 시스템 기반 항공안전감독 기술 개발 분야 중 현장에서 이루어지는 항공안전감독 업무 지원을 위해 추진되어온 스마트 안전감독 지원 시스템은 Prototype V1.0 운영을 통해 검점감독 현장에서 필요한 실질적인 시스템 기능 및 요구사항 등을 수렴하였으며 Prototype V2.0에서 요구사항을 최대한 적용하여 기존 웹 환경에 익숙하게 구성되어 있던 UI/UX를 스마트 디바이스에서 맞춰 사용자 편의성을 최대화하고 현장 감독업무 효율성에 중점을 두어 개발을 진행하였다. 본 논문에서 그동안 추진되어온 스마트 안전감독 지원 시스템 Prototype V2.0 시연 및 활용 방안 등을 소개하고자 한다.
