Development of the Protocol Integration System with Multi-threading Method for the Ship Electronic Device (Multi-threading 기법을 적용한 선박 전자장치 프로토콜 통합 시스템의 구현)

  • This paper proposes a protocol integration system with multi-threading method for the ship electronic devices to solve problems with the compatibility. The proposed protocol integration system receives the different signals from each of the ships' devices through the RS-232 serial communication port and then divides the input signal into the field data. The required field data for standard signal composition are extracted from among these signal and these are combined in accordance with standard signal format. Thereafter, the protocol integration system transmits the processed standard signal to the auto pilot system through a single port.

  • This paper proposes a medium access control (MAC) protocol for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) ad-hoc networks. Multiple-packet receptions in MIMO systems have attracted as a key technique to achieve a high transmission rate. In the conventional protocols for multiple-packet receptions, timing offsets among multiple-frame transmissions cause frame collisions induced by hidden nodes, which degrades network performance. In the proposed protocol, transmission synchronization among hidden nodes can be achieved by applying pulse/tone exchanges. By applying the pulse/tone exchanges, multiple-packet receptions among hidden nodes can be achieved, which enhances network throughputs compared with the conventional protocol. Simulation results show effectiveness of the proposed protocol.

Molecular Dynamics Free Energy Simulation Study to Rationalize the Relative Activities of PPAR δ Agonists

  • As a computational method for the discovery of the effective agonists for PPARd, we address the usefulness of molecular dynamics free energy (MDFE) simulation with explicit solvent in terms of the accuracy and the computing cost. For this purpose, we establish an efficient computational protocol of thermodynamic integration (TI) that is superior to free energy perturbation (FEP) method in parallel computing environment. Using this protocol, the relative binding affinities of GW501516 and its derivatives for PPARd are calculated. The accuracy of our protocol was evaluated in two steps. First, we devise a thermodynamic cycle to calculate the absolute and relative hydration free energies of test molecules. This allows a self-consistent check for the accuracy of the calculation protocol. Second, the calculated relative binding affinities of the selected ligands are compared with experimental IC50 values. The average deviation of the calculated binding free energies from the experimental results amounts at the most to 1 kcal/mol. The computational efficiency of current protocol is also assessed by comparing its execution times with those of the sequential version of the TI protocol. The results show that the calculation can be accelerated by 4 times when compared to the sequential run. Based on the calculations with the parallel computational protocol, a new potential agonist of GW501516 derivative is proposed.

New Protocol at Fast Scan Mode for Sea-surface Small Target Detection

  • In this article, we propose a new protocol at fast scan mode for a sea-surface small target detection. The conventional fast scan mode is composed of coherent intrascan integration to suppress sea clutter and non-coherent interscan integration to exclude sea spikes. The proposed method realizes the coherent interscan integration by the new Fourier relationship between carrier-frequency and initial-radial-range, which can be analytically derived by using multiple carrier frequencies at fast scan mode, leading to improved detection performance, compared to the conventional non-coherent methods. In simulations, our proposed method is verified.

  • It is important to integrate an enterprise application for automating of the business process, which is responded by a flow of market environment. There are two categories of method that integrate enterprise applications. One is Synchronous Integration, and the other is Asynchronous Integration. EAI(Enterprise Application Integration) and Web service which of the asynchronous integration is focused in the automating method of the business process. After we construct the application integration for automating of the business process, we have to concern about managing of the business transaction. Many Organizations have proposed the process method of business transaction based on 2-phase commit protocol. But this method can't supply the phase that classify the transaction by transaction weight. In this paper, we propose an efficient method of transaction process for business transactions, which is composed by "Classify Phase" that classify transactions. We called this model "3-Phase Commit Method Applied by Classify Phase, " we design this model to manage an resource of enterprise efficiently. The proposed method is compared by the method based on 2-Phase commit that could be a problem of management the resource of enterprise, and the advantage of this method is certified to propose the solution of that problem.ion of that problem.

Real-time Data Integration using Ontology and Semantic Mediators (온톨로지와 시맨틱 중재 에이전트를 이용한 실시간 통합 환경 구축에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this research is to develop a formal framework and methodology to facilitate real-time data integration, thus enabling semantic interoperability among distributed and heterogeneous information systems. The proposed approach is based on the concepts of "ontology" and "semantic mediators." An ontology is developed and used to capture the intension (including structure, integrity rules and meta-properties) of the database schema. We also develop the agent communication protocol for semantic reconciliation, which is based on the theory of speech acts and agent communication language. This protocol is used by a set of semantic mediators, which automatically detect and resolve various semantic conflicts at the data- and schema-levels by referring to the ontology. A mediation-based query processing technique is developed to provide uniform and integrated access to the multiple heterogeneous information sources. Prototype tools are being implemented to provide proof of concept for this work.

  • This study is designed integration and control system of GaAs bonding system consisted of multi-processing using DeviceNet and GEM-Protocol. Developing bonding system is composed of resin coating, pre-baking pre-aligner, bonding, material handler(flip robot), and wafer cassette, etc. This system has process-fluent of each a process and share information using GEM-protocol. This study devised virtual bonding simulator to control and to monitor bonding system efficiently. Also we can verify optimizing of system previously through a virtual bonding simulator.

  • Today's robots consist of many hardware and software subsystems, depending on the functions needed for specific tasks. Integration of subsystems can require a great deal of effort, as both the communication method and protocol of the subsystem can vary. This paper proposes an expandable robotic system in which all subsystems are integrated under Robot Operation System (ROS) framework. To achieve this, the paper presents a software library, ROS_M, developed to implement the TCP/IP-based ROS communication protocol in different control environments such as MCU and RT kernel based embedded system. Then, all the subsystem including hardware can use ROS protocol consistently for communication, which makes adding new software or hardware subsystems to the robotic system easier. A latency measurement experiment reveals that the system built for loop control can be used in a soft real-time environment. Finally, an expandable mobile manipulator robot is introduced as an application of the proposed system. This robot consists of four subsystems that operate in different control environments.

  • This paper presents the model that integrates an SDL system and a CORBA system using mapping rules between method and signal for developing embedded systems connected with internet. In order to support communication between the two different systems (SDL and CORBA), it is essential to secure the conversion interface between SDL communication protocol and CORBA communication protocol. In this paper, IDL is adopted for the communication interface and the conversion of the communication protocol between the two systems, and the IDL compiler automatically generates the interface for protocol interoperability. The proposed model adopts middleware on the subpart of the SDL based legacy system, and hence, supports the service on the distributed system, regardless of the environment and location of the server system.
