  • In this paper, Blockchain is mentioned as the next-generation core IT technology. As an immature technology, there are not many practical use cases, but it is expected to be widely applied in various industries such as cryptocurrency, finance, public, etc. to increase efficiency and enable new services that did not exist in the past. Nevertheless, the generalization of blockchain technology is still difficult. In particular, from the viewpoint of personal information protection, GDPR of Europe, etc., is becoming stronger. Considering that the core of the blockchain is the change of information sharing and processing method, it is very important how the blockchain can affect, especially from the viewpoint of privacy, and how the Privacy Act can be applied to the blockchain. However, the discussion on this part also seems to be insufficient. Therefore, in this paper, blockchain By analyzing the implications and implications of technologies and services using them from the perspective of the Privacy Act, we will discuss how the blockchain will be used to prevent leakage of privacy.

Methods: On the basis of survey data from 126 respondents, the correlation between the perception and the practice was analyzed. Also the multiple regression analysis was performed on the variables that affect the practice. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of the questionnaire was more than 0.6. The items were scored on 5 points scale or true-false type. Results: The perception of privacy protection was 3.23 points, the law is 0.88 points, and the practice is 3.47 points. The educated students were more perceive than those who did not(p<0.05). The higher the perception, the higher the practice(r=0.230, p<0.01). The practice was influenced by the perception(p<0.05). Conclusions: Dental hygiene students should be educated to perceive and protect the personal and medical information of a patient. Also, an educational institutions need a efforts to protect personal information.

  • As the Privacy Act is in force in Korea, the subject of protection responsibility is increased, and continuous efforts are made to protect privacy in overseas countries, as can be seen by standard drafts related to privacy protection. However, the reality is that a formal privacy manual or guidelines are insufficient to help cope with the rapid changes and privacy leak caused by TGIF(Twitter-Google-iPhone-Facebook) these days, and practical effects cannot be expected, even though measures are taken. This paper propose a standard format for satisfying the ISO/IEC 29101 "Privacy Reference Architecture" and shows an implementation example for equipping with forensic readiness capturing indications of the incident rapidly and coming up with an effective counter measure when privacy information is disclosed.

  • Recently, the spread of smartphones and various wearable devices has led to increases in the accumulation and usage of personal information. As a result, privacy protection has become an issue. Even though there have been studies and efforts to improve legal and technological security measures for protecting privacy, personal information leakage accidents still occur. Rather than privacy requirements, analysts mostly focus on the implementation of security technology within software development. Previous studies of security requirements strongly focused on supplementing the basic principles and laws for privacy protection and securing privacy requirements without understanding the relationship between privacy and security. As a result, personal information infringement occurs continuously despite the development of security technologies and the revision of the Personal Information Protection Act. Therefore, we need a method for eliciting privacy requirements based on related privacy protection laws that are applicable to software development. We also should clearly specify the relationship between privacy and security. This study aims to elicit privacy requirements and create privacy assurances cases for Privacy Friendly System development.

  • In Korea, "Act on the Development of Cloud Computing and Protection of its Users" has been enforced since September 28, 2015. Many countries implemented 'Cloud First' policies and global companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, IBM started cloud services in Korea. Under these circumstance, the Act was established for developing the cloud computing industry. The Act includes clauses for encouraging the use of private cloud computing by public organizations, supporting small- and medium-size cloud service providers, and utilizing secure cloud computing services by users. However, some terms appear to be similar but have different meanings from "Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc." and "Personal Information Protection Act". This generated some confusion and conflicts in relation to providing user information to a 3rd party and notifying the intrusion in the Cloud Computing Act. This paper discusses these issues and suggestions for revision of the Cloud Computing Act.

  • Privacy means the right not to interfere with the private life of an individual. Bio data is the most private personal information about the person itself, and according to advancement of technology, it is possible to analyze and judge individual as well as identify individual. The Personal Information Protection Act is based on global privacy principles, but the legislation for the protection of bio information has yet to be enacted. Therefore, it is time to protect biometric data as more sensitive information than general personal information. We will review the global privacy discussions for protecting biometric information and propose additional privacy principles and measures for utilization that should be defined in the biometric information protection guideline.
