  • The Linear D.C Motor with moving magnet type structured two permanent magnets, three iron bars and winding copper around one of bars. This paper describes the design theory and trust characteristic analysis of Linear D.C Motor. The design theory is very important to Motor design. Here, The design method be obtained by the design theory equation based the flux distribution and design constant. The propriety for this is established by the experiment results.

  • The main design factors which effect on operating speed of linear actuator for valve operation are mass of plunger, electromagnetic motive force, inductance, and return spring, and these factors are not independent but related with each other in view point of design and electromagnetic theory. It is impossible to increase the operating speed by only change the value of any one design factor. The change of any one value results in change of any value related it in various design factors. This paper presents a speed increasing method of linear actuator using a solenoid design method by some governing equations which are composed of electromagnetic theory and empirical knowledge and permanent magnets as assistant material, and proved the propriety by experiments.

  • High-rise apartments in Korea has physical, environmental, social, economical superannuation. But the remodeling of their apartments is focused on the physical improvement. So they remains the problems of community, safety, economy. Remodeling have to do is to attempt to synthesize the whole superannuation. So we select the B-maul apartments in 1st new towns has the typical problem(parking unsufficiency, small pyeong, ecology shortage etc) of high-rise apartment in the country and analysis its superannuation and remodeling plan. And verify the propriety of a remodeling plan to improve superannuation through an expert survey. Through the tasks, high-rise apartment remodeling in the country need to have a cure for the problem : lowing of the ceiling heights, a shortage of understanding among the residents, and insufficient improvement in the surroundings, no reuse-energy system.

  • The concept of seismic design was induced in our country which was poor in it for the scarcity of recognition and insufficiency of funds. Recently many specialists are enforcing the provisions of seismic design. But because seismic force of seismic design is very great and all the seismic force are concentrated on the fixed bearings and substructure the bearings are the seismic force are concentrated on the fixed bearings and substructure the bearings are destroyed so that seismic design lose its basic concept. In addition when the earthquake which exceeds seismic design force takes place the bridge is collapsed. For these reasons the developed seismic isolation design concept was appeared which diminishes seismic force itself by period shift and additional damping distributes it to each superstructures evenly. Therefore this study introduced the method which combines PC-LEADeR(design program for L.R.B) with SAP 2000(linear elastic analysis) and performs the seismic isolation design more elaborately and simply verified the propriety of that method and examined the force control of L. R. B.

Bayesian Curve-Fitting in Semiparametric Small Area Models with Measurement Errors

  • We study a semiparametric Bayesian approach to small area estimation under a nested error linear regression model with area level covariate subject to measurement error. Consideration is given to radial basis functions for the regression spline and knots on a grid of equally spaced sample quantiles of covariate with measurement errors in the nested error linear regression model setup. We conduct a hierarchical Bayesian structural measurement error model for small areas and prove the propriety of the joint posterior based on a given hierarchical Bayesian framework since some priors are defined non-informative improper priors that uses Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods to fit it. Our methodology is illustrated using numerical examples to compare possible models based on model adequacy criteria; in addition, analysis is conducted based on real data.

  • Continuously variable transmission(CVT) combined differential gear unit has many advantages, which are the decrease of CVT size, the increase of overall efficiency, the extension of speed ratio range, and the generation of geared neutral. It is known that such CVT can be classified into the input coupled type and the output coupled type according to the coupling location of continuously variable unit(CVU). In this paper, six different configurations of input coupled type CVT combined V-belt CVU and 2K-H I type differential gear unit are proposed. Some useful theoretical formula related to speed ratio, power flow and efficiency are derived and analyzed. The propriety of derived formula and theoretical analysis are proven by various experiments.

  • It is important to prevent roll failure in hot rolling process for reducing maintenance coat and production loss. Roll material and rolling conditions such as the roll force and torque have been intensively investigated to overcome the roll failures. In this study, a computer roll life prediction system under working condition is developed and evaluated on IBM-PC level. The system is composed and fatigue estimation models which are stress analysis, crack propagation, wear and fatigue estimation. Roll damage can be predicted by calculating the stress anplification, crack depth propagation and fatigue level in the roll using this computer model. The developed system is applied to a work roll in actual hot rolling process for reliability evaluation. Roll failures can be diagnosed and the propriety of current working condition can be determined through roll life prediction simulation.

  • Recently, nuclear power plant companies have been extending the turbine valve test interval to reduce the potential of the reactor trip accompanied with a turbine valve test and to improve the NPP's economy through the reduction of unexpected plant trip or decreased operation. In these regards, the extension of the test interval for turbine valves was reviewed in detail. The effect on the destructive overspeed probability due to the test interval change of turbine valves is evaluated by Fault Tree Analysis(FTA) method. Even though the test interval of turbine valves is changed from 1 month to 3 months, the analysis result shows that the reliability of turbine over speed protection system meets acceptance criteria of 1.0E-4/yr. This result will be used as the technical basis on the extension of the test interval for turbine valves. In this paper, the propriety of the turbine valve test interval extension is explained through the review on the turbine valve test interval status of turbine overspeed protection system, the analysis on the annual turbine missile frequency and the probability evaluation of the destructive overspeed due to the test interval extension.

연료 압력 조절기용 가이드 밸브의 냉간 단조 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cold Forging Development of Guide Valve for the Fuel Pressure Regulator)

  • This study was aimed at the design of the dies for the guide valve for the fuel pressure regulator using the computer simulation to shorten the period of production, on the basis of the process planning which was designed by the field experts. In the computer simulation, 'Deform-3d' and 'Eesy-DieOpt' have been used, which are the commercial process analysis and die design program. Through the process analysis, we could know the propriety of the forming process, the inner pressure of the die and the suitable fitting pressure between the insert and the sleeve which was not showing any positive tangential stresses in the insert. Through the simulation of die design, we could know the number of the stress ring, the diameter ratios, the stresses of the die, the shrink fitting tolerance and temperature in the condition of the already determined maximum outer die diameter of the multi-stage former. The validity of the die design using the computer simulation was analyzed by the experiments and the results were satisfactory. As the results of this study, the new and easy die design system for multi-forging has been developed.

  • This paper deals with a study to improve the performance of Moving Coil type Linear Oscillatory Actuator (MC-LOA) considering unbalanced magnetic circuit. MC-LOA has an unbalanced magnetic circuit due to its asymmetric structure. In this type of LOA, the airgap flux density tends to have different magnitude along mover's displacement and the current directions. The above property causes eccentric of displacement center and interferes with the proper oscillation of LOA. Therefore, this paper presents two models having the unbalanced magnetic circuit and the other balanced by the saturated core. In order to compare the characteristics between the two models, a characteristic analysis for both the basic model and the improved model is performed by their dynamic analysis composed of kinetic and electric equations and Finite Element Method (FEM). The propriety of the improved model is verified through the experimental results.
