Active ITS Infrastructure Management Strategy for Enhanced ITS Service (기존 ITS 서비스의 성능 강화를 위한 능동형 ITS 인프라 관리 전략)

  • In this study, we analyzed the next generation ITS (C-ITS) technology trends, focusing on the national and international C-ITS projects. Based on the promotion practices of developed countries, we pointed out the lack of linkages with the existing ITS infrastructure. As a way to overcome this problem, we proposed the three-direction to enable the existing ITS infrastructure corresponding to the C-ITS. First one is developing a technique to improve the performance of the existing ITS infrastructure and automate the performance management (Performance-enhanced ITS). Second, developing active sensors or fusion sensor which along with V2X communication technology implement of an active safety driving support system (Safety-enhanced ITS). Third, we need to develop a technology that generate the new advanced traffic data by integrating the collected data from existing ITS infrastructure and nomadic device (Cloud-ITS). By improving the function of the existing ITS infrastructure for adaptation to the new V2X communication environment, we enhanced the efficiency of maintenance performance and would maximize the benefit of the introduction of C-ITS.

  • Based on the empirical analysis result of informatization in Kang Won province, the major goals of diffusion for the advanced informational society may be summarized as follows: (i) The basic goal for local informatization, an affluent wealthy society for our life, should be come true. (ii) The informatization should be forwarded in order to accelerate the domestic industrial promotion. (iii) The formation of nucleus cities for information backbone in Kang Won province & local informatization based on balance and combination between city and rural and between regions should be forwarded. In order to establish the domestic informatization referred above, the following specific practice should be accompanied. (a) The effective separation of role and affair on local informatization between central and local governments should be studied. (b) The financial resources should be considered, due to the economic unbalance between locals. (c) The preparation for local informatization spreading method by private enterprise's initiative rather than the government's. (d) The specification of the systematic support for the local informatization business by central government. (e) The establishment of collaboration with the other city, province and local government.

  • As interest increases in health promotion through sports, demand for public sports facilities is steadily growing. However, there is a lack of research on operation and management compared with the supply plan of public sports facility. In this context, the aim of this study is to address problems of management of public sports centers and suggest strategies for vitalizing the facilities through the big-data. The data are collected from web such as news, blog, and cafe for one year in 2015. From the big-data, We can find that the national sports centers and the open gyms showed similar users' behavior but showed different needs. Both facilities have been used as sports and leisure area and have a high percentage of visitors for other purposes such as walking, picnics, etc. However, while the national sports facilities which were used for more specialized programs, the open sports center were used as leisure space.

  • Smart phone based IT support programs are faced with difficulties due to the following reasons first, long development period is required as separate developments are necessary respectively depending on the operating system of Smart phone second, it is also difficult to secure high development cost for the outsourcing of the development. It is a big problem for improving app developing productivity. Smart App Factory which is suggested in this thesis is the business strategy to surpass the Android market of Google and App Store of Apple within short period of time based on App productivity of Smart App Authoring Tool and to accomplish the materialization of App market which is in the 1st global position and all potential customers who need programs for their works regardless of budget, scope, complexity and scale will be implemented by unfolding unprecedented low price policy and global online marketing activities for App development.

Rurban Design and Improvement of Urban Environment (러번 디자인과 도시환경 개선)

  • The "Rurban" Design is a design concept that can actively preserve and embrace natural terrain and rural resources in an effort to continuously enhance a city, and restore the community that collapsed due to industrialization and unplanned urbanization. The concentration of Seoul Metropolitan area in Korea and the destruction of rural areas and localities caused by the urban sprawl have become a difficult problem for urban development after industrialization. The development of unbalanced growth and the environmental damage remain as issues as well. The tradition and diversity restoration of the New Urbanism paradigm, which was presented in the latter half of the twentieth century, has been an alternative plan for a big city that had experienced industrialization and urbanization at an early phase. However, there is a limit of application to European and North American cities. The philosophical concept of "Rurban Design" is to apply the use of rural elements more directly, and to outline resource conservation, proper consumption, and suitable scale. In all considerations, this will be a practical strategy to complement the limitations of New Urbanism with its design capacity that maximizes the characteristics of the region.

Ethical Dilemma and Professionalism of Long-term Care Hospital Nurses (요양병원 간호사의 윤리적 딜레마와 전문직업성)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate nurses' ethical dilemma and professionalism in long-term care hospitals. Participants in this study were 210 nurses working in 14 long-term care hospitals. Data analysis was done using SPSS / WIN 24.0 program. As a result of this study, the ethical dilemma of the nurse was moderate. The highest sub-area was 'nurse-patient relationship' and 'respect of life and human rights' was the lowest sub-area. The professionalism of the subjects was moderate, and the score of 'sense of mission' area was the lowest. Nursing ethics guidelines should be developed that reflect the ethical dilemma of nurses in long-term care hospitals, and will provide the right values for the ethical dilemma that nurses face in their workplace. When planning the nurses' professionalism education, it is necessary to have a strategy to enhance the sense of mission by emphasizing beliefs and values about nursing care.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify student's patient education experience, satisfaction with clinical nursing practice and self-efficacy in Maternity nursing practice. As the result, The nursing students had difficulties in accessing the patient, education time, and lack of self-confidence. There was a statistically significant difference in satisfaction of patient education experience with method of education, time of practice, and satisfaction of maternity nursing, satisfaction with clinical nursing practice with attitude of students, satisfaction of clinical practice, practice place, self-efficacy with grades, satisfaction of maternity nursing, practice place. In order to overcome the difficulties and limitations of maternal nursing practice, we maintain close cooperation with the hospital staff and propose it as a strategy of teaching method and practice guidance reflecting the needs of nursing students.

  • A manufacturing industry has secured its competitiveness through cost reduction, research for new products, development of manufacturing technology traditionally. However, many manufacturers are being required of innovative efforts for business sustainability by emergence of new technology and industry owing to fast technology development and convergence among technologies and industries. Continuous growth can not be expected with the way of simple manufacturing and sales under the 4th industrial revolution era. Separation of service from product is getting more vague in some specific area and a service provider is often offering its own product together. Innovation destroying manufacturing value chain with servitization can only create the new value. Basic concept of servitization, paradigm change and future prospect of manufacturing industries suffering from the 4th industrial revolution will be analyzed in this paper. Also, the strategy, application and methodology for servitization required in the convergence period will be researched.

  • Marine Technology is the last hope of mankind for resolving predestined issues of food, resources, and environmental problems. facing and realizing this great challenge, domestic industrial, academic and research institutional experts participated in formulating the Marine Technology development plan, and the national science and technology committee chaired by the president passed this important plan thus setting the foundation for activating and promoting MT development. A project to develop Marine Technology Road Map(MTRM) has been carried out since June of 2005 for effective execution of the plan 1his paper reviewed current issues of MT and contents of MTRM, and proposed alternative measures for MT activation and promotion such as the establishment of special institutes for managing MT research and development and the fund raising for MT budget.

Marketing Activities and Financial Performance of Korean Hospitals (우리나라 병원의 마케팅 활동수준과 재무성과)

  • The main objective of this paper is to perform an empirical analysis on the relationship between various marketing activities and financial performance of Korean hospitals. A survey was conducted through structured questionnaire for 495 hospitals, and data from 218 hospitals were utilized in the final anaylsis.(response rate: 44%) Survey items include general characteristics of the hospitals(size, type, location), degree of competition, financial performance. marketing organization! budget, and level of various marketing activities in service development, access improvement, promotion, and pricing. We examine descriptive statistics of the response scores on marketing activities to evaluate the current status of marketing management of Korean hospitals, compare the results across hospital size, type and location, and perform regression analysis to investigate the relaionship between marketing and financial performance. Major findings are as follows: 1) About 46% of the responding hospitals have marketing departments although they are named as 'planning' or 'PR' departments, and the marketing budget on average represents 1.74% of the total expenditures. 2) Average level of marketing activities is calculated to be about 3.32 on 5-point scale, meaning that Korean hospitals implement their marketing programs 'somewhat actively'; however, the scores on the areas of marketing plannning and strategy are relatively low. 3) Large hospitals tend to be more active in marketing than small hospitals, and public hospitals' activities in marketing are not lower compared to private hospitals. 4) Level of overall marketing activities is positively related with financial performance measured by various finacial indicators except for profitability, implying that marketing is successful in revenue generation but needs to be more cost-effective. Also, when the marketing variables are separately included in the regression, no significant relationship is found, which means that various marketing activities are more effective when they are collectively implemented.
