Excess use of chemical fertilizer causes soil acidification and accumulation of salt, and thus might bring to desertification of soil. To overcome this problem, it needs limited usage of chemical fertilizer and increased usage of natural fertilizer as an alternative. In this study, dry soil-borne Bacillus sp. SHL-3, which was isolated from arid and barren soil, with plant growth promoting activity was isolated for identification and to determine optimal culture condition. A bacterial strain SHL-3 had the IAA productivity ($5.16{\pm}0.10mg\;L^{-1}$), ACC deaminase activity ($0.36{\pm}0.09$ at 51 hours) and siderophore synthesis. It was identified as genus Bacillus sp.. Also, optimal culture condition of SHL-3 were $20^{\circ}C$ and pH 7 in LB medium. Bacillus sp. SHL-3 had up to 4% salt tolerance in the medium. We evaluated the plant growth promotion ability of SHL-3 using yam (Dioscorea japonica Thunb.). As a result, Bacillus sp. SHL-3 was effective on the increase of the shoot length (202.4% increase for 91 days). These results indicate that Bacillus sp. SHL-3 can serve as a promising microbial resource for the biofertilizers of soil.

Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study suggest that pre-service early childhood teachers should pay close attention to their health management, and that contents that emphasize the importance of teachers' health should be included in health education.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the effects an of educational drama program for promoting a sense of community on young children's community life skills. Methods: The program organized activities to achieve a sense of community. Community life skill, a behavioral skill that is the basis for developing a sense of community, was naturally reflected in the activities. The program was designed to run a total of 15 sessions twice a week for 60 minutes each time. The participants were five-year-olds, 27 in the experimental group and 26 in the control group. In order to examine the effects of the program, a sense of community and community life skills were measured and the data were analyzed with T-test. Results: The results are summarized as follows: first, the program had positive effects on emotional consciousness and mutual public consciousness of sense of community; second, community life skills were improved through this program. Conclusion/Implications: Based on these results, the effectiveness of the educational drama program for promoting young children's sense of community and the ways to promote children's sense of community in early childhood education institutes were discussed.
Spore-forming Bacillus species are commercially available probiotic formulations for application in humans. They have health benefits and help prevent disease in hosts by combating entero-pathogens and ameliorating antibiotic-associated diarrhea. However, the molecular and cellular mechanisms of these benefits remain unclear. Here, we report the draft genome of a potential probiotic strain of Bacillus clausii B106. We mapped and compared the probiotic profile of B106 with other reference genomes. The draft genome analysis of B106 revealed the presence of ADI pathway genes, indicating its ability to tolerate acidic pH and bile salts. Genes encoding fibronectin binding proteins, enolase, as well as a gene cluster involved in the biosynthesis of exopolysaccharides underscored the potential of B106 to adhere to the intestinal epithelium and colonize the human gut. Genes encoding bacteriocins were also detected, indicating the antimicrobial ability of this isolate. The presence of genes encoding vitamins, including Riboflavin, Folate, and Biotin, also indicated the health-promoting ability of B106. Resistance of B106 to multiple antibiotics was evident from the presence of genes encoding resistance to chloramphenicol, ${\beta}$-lactams, Vancomycin, Tetracycline, fluoroquinolones, and aminoglycosides. The findings indicate the significance of B. clausii B106 administration during antibiotic treatment and its potential value as a probiotic strain to replenish the health-promoting and disease-preventing gut flora following antibiotic treatment.
Rhizoctonia solani is one of the major pathogens that cause sheath blight disease in rice. Sheath blight is one of the most difficult diseases to control. Biological control (with the use of rhizobacteria) is one of the ways to control this disease. Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) is a rhizosphere bacterium that can be used to enhance plant growth. The composition of the rhizobacteria in organic and nonorganic soil is affected by the chemical characteristics of the soil - which influences plant physiology and root exudation patterns. This study aimed to obtain a species of rhizobacteria which shows PGPR activity, from organic and nonorganic rice fields and test their capability to suppress R. solani growth. Out of 23 isolates screened for PGPR activity, the following isolates showed high PGPR activity and were selected for in vitro antagonistic activity testing against R. solani: ISO6, ISO11, ISO15, ISN2, ISN3, and ISN7, The six isolates produced 43,42-75,23 ppm of IAA, possessed phosphorus solubilization capability, and chitinase-producing activity. ISO6 (54.88%) and ISN7 (83.33%) displayed high inhibition capacities against R. solani, in vitro. ISO6 and ISN7 inhibited the growth of R. solani lesions on rice leaves by 89% and 100% (without lesion), respectively, after 7 days of incubation. Analysis of their 16S rRNA sequences revealed that the ISO6 isolate was Citrobacter freundii and ISN7 isolate was Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Purpose: Bus drivers are at high risk of chronic diseases due to risk factors associated with poor diet, physical inactivity, high levels of sedentary behaviors, and unfavorable working environments. This study developed a mHealth program for bus drivers, and examined the effectiveness of a mHealth program for promoting physical activity among bus drivers using wearable devices and health coaching. Methods: Forty-seven workers from two bus companies were allocated to the experimental group and the control group. Participants were asked to wear a wearable device (Fitbit Charge HR) during waking hours for a day. Participants in the experimental group were provided with a Fitbit, weekly face-to-face health coaching, a mHealth workbook, and text and photo messaging for 12 weeks. The control group only received a Fitbit. Results: By week 12, there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups in exercise self-efficacy (p<.015) and daily walking steps (p<.001). Conclusion: The findings have demonstrated that the mHealth program using wearable devices and health coaching is effective for bus drivers for promoting physical activity. Based on our findings, it is recommended to encourage the mHealth program using wearable devices and health coaching for bus drivers' wellness.
Several methods have been used to treat androgenetic hair loss, ranging from hair transplants to finasteride and minoxidil. Sometimes platelet-rich plasma injection therapy may be used to increase the satisfaction of patients who come to the hospital. However, some patients are sensitive to pain and are subjected to the inconvenience of requiring treatment after each blood sampling. The author had reported the effects of using a hair growth-promoting solution and JetpeelTM in parallel with a painless hair loss treatment method. However, the author was interested in more effective methods for patients with M-shaped or vertex hair loss who do not want to take medications or undergo hair transplant. In addition to the existing light-emitting diode therapy and electromagnetic field treatment, the author has made considered attempts to use various laser wavelength bands. However, the equipment for these methods can be expensive and are not suitable for patients who emphasize on cost-effectiveness. Therefore, the author used an existing reported method and a device based on the fractional erbium:YAG laser to provide the hair growth-promoting solution in parallel. The author chose a fractional 2940 nm-based laser device as a medium that could efficiently increase the growth phase, reduce the catagen phase, and facilitate intradermal product and drug delivery. As a result, there was a therapeutic benefit without any significant side effects such as redness and itching. Among the patients, the author reported the effects of the treatment on one patient with frontal M-shaped, mid, and vertex hair loss.
This study aimed to identify a difference in project implementation between villages that had executed rural village community activation support work successfully and those that had quit in the middle from the new endogenous development theory perspective. As a result, it was found that the main factors used for promoting to increase endogeneous development capabilities existed more in villages that executed project implementation support work successfully than in villages that had quit in the middle. Successful villages have a difference from the villages that had quit in the middle in that they have established a participatory decision making and cooperation system for stable operation even before their support work began, they have more assets for promoting community activity, residents' interaction and communal activity are becoming more active, and reciprocity-based mutual aid culture exists in many forms. In conclusion, seeing from the new endogenous development theory perspective, villages are developed under the interaction between internal and external factors, but the outcome of project implementation depends on whether village community holds its endogenous development capability to operate and develop such whole process of development. Therefore, village community activation policies need to be reinforced in the direction toward promoting to create the main factors for enhancing endogenous development capabilities.
Promoting low carbon transportation adoption is important for energy saving. Some prior studies have discussed on environmental values affect low carbon transportation commuting is inconclusive. This study has constructed the environmental values, utility value, and social influence-based low-carbon transportation adoption model through the theory of the technology acceptance model and VBN model and the IS success model. Through the SEM model and stepwise regression analysis, we have found that environmental values positively affect utility value, and utility value also positively affects the behavior adoption of low carbon transportation. The utility value as mediating effect in the relationship between environmental values and low carbon transportation commuting behavior. Besides, we also have found that social influence positively impacts the behavior adoption of low carbon transportation. It better enhances the level of household residents' environmental values and utility values, and social influence for promoting the adoption of low carbon transportation. This present research provides theoretical guidance and suggestions for promoting the development of low-carbon transportation innovation.
