  • As more devices are used across various industries and their performance improves, artificial intelligence applications are being increasingly adopted. Hence, the rapid development of neural networks suitable for diverse devices can determine the competitiveness of companies. Machine learning operations (MLOps), which constitute a framework that supports neural network generation and its immediate application to devices, have become necessary for the development of artificial intelligence. Currently, most MLOps are provided by major companies such as Google, Amazon, and Microsoft, which provide cloud services supported by large-scale computing power. In addition, various services are provided by the open-source project Kubeflow. We examine basic concepts and technology trends in MLOps and unveil additional functions required in industry.

  • Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) have made it easier for healthcare workers and patients to monitor patients' status continuously in real time. WBANs have complex and diverse network structures; thus, management and control can be challenging. Therefore, considering emerging Software-defined networks (SDN) with WBANs is a promising technology since SDN implements a new network management and design approach. The SDN concept is used in this study to create more adaptable and dynamic network architectures for WBANs. The study focuses on comparing the performance of two SDN controllers, POX and Ryu, using Mininet, an open-source simulation tool, to construct network topologies. The performance of the controllers is evaluated based on bandwidth, throughput, and round-trip time metrics for networks using an OpenFlow switch with sixteen nodes and a controller for each topology. The study finds that the choice of network controller can significantly impact network performance and suggests that monitoring network performance indicators is crucial for optimizing network performance. The project provides valuable insights into the performance of SDN-based WBANs using POX and Ryu controllers and highlights the importance of selecting the appropriate network controller for a given network architecture.

  • Many research result conducted by neural network researchers claimed that the degree of generalization of the neural network system is higher or at least equal to that of statistical methods. However, those successful results could be brought only if the neural network was trained by appropriately sound data, having a little of noisy data and being large enough to control noisy data. Real data used in a lot of fields, especially business fields, were not so sound that the network have frequently failed to obtain satisfactory prediction accuracy, the degree of generalization. Enhancing the degree of generalization with noisy data is discussed in this study. The suggestion, which was obtained through a series of experiments, to enhance the degree of generalization is to remove inconsistent data by checking overlapping and inconsistencies. Furthermore, the previous conclusion by other reports is also confirmed that the learning mechanism of neural network takes average value of two inconsistent data included in training set[2]. The interim results of on-going research project are reported in this paper These are ann architecture of the neural network adopted in this project and the whole idea of developing on-line credit evaluation system, being intergration of the expert(resoning)system and the neural network(learning system.Another definite result is corroborated through this study that quickprop, being agopted as a learing algorithm, also has more speedy learning process than does back propagation even in very noisy environment.

  • This study aims to investigate the research equipment establishing relationship by looking at research equipment information transfer that follows the network's structural and positional characteristics and the research institute's responsibilities to increase the possibility of research equipment usage by using the SNA(Social Network Analysis) method. Consequently, with the given structural characteristics of research institute, it can be concluded that because of its low density, it appears to be difficult to transfer research equipment information within the network. Government-funded research institutes that can effectively deliver research equipment information within the network system through comparison positional characteristics are ETRI, KITECH, KRICT, Sungkyungwan University, and Kyungbook National University. In addition, a virtualization node not only invigorates the network system but also acts as an intermediary factor to effectively deliver research equipment information. As results, there can be three conceivable alternatives to increase the possibility of research equipment usage. Those includes: 1. policy to encourage relationship building among research institutes 2. utilizing suitable institutes for effective delivery of research equipment information and lastly, 3. establishing a virtual intermediary institute for information sharing and utilization of isolated institutes' research equipments.

  • Cancer is a leading cause of death around the world. Education is at the core of cancer prevention activities, especially programs targeting empowering existing public health workforce. In the past 10 years, researchers at the University of Pittsburgh have been building the Global Health Network Supercourse project, a library of over 4500 online lectures and a network of nearly 50000 public health professionals in 174 countries. As of November 2010, the overall number of Supercourse participants from Asia exceeds 7000 participants. The Supercourse network has been investigating methods for Internet based recruitment of cancer prevention professionals in order to network cancer experts locally and globally, including the use of mHealth technologies for cancer research education and for NCD registries. Supercourse is a tool that can offer a solution to the challenges of information sharing, especially in the field of NCDs and cancer. In this paper, we highlight the need for the development of Cancer Supercourse with Satellite in Asia and encourage faculty members from Asia to join the network.

  • In this paper, we develop a design methodology of granular-based neurocomputing networks realized with the aid of the clustering techniques. The objective of this paper is modeling and evaluation of approximation and generalization capability of the Linear-Type Superconducting Power Supply (LTSPS). In contrast with the plethora of existing approaches, here we promote a development strategy in which a topology of the network is predominantly based upon a collection of information granules formed on a basis of available experimental data. The underlying design tool guiding the development of the granular-based neurocomputing networks revolves around the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) clustering method and the Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network. In contrast to "standard" Radial Basis Function neural networks, the output neuron of the network exhibits a certain functional nature as its connections are realized as local linear whose location is determined by the membership values of the input space with the aid of FCM clustering. To modeling and evaluation of performance of the linear-type superconducting power supply using the proposed network, we describe a detailed characteristic of the proposed model using a well-known NASA software project data.

  • The objective of this paper is to analyze the profitability of expanding the high-speed internet network and provide the strategy and policy for the government and telecommunication providers to fill the information gaps in rural areas. First, we analyzed the situation where the accessibility of high-speed internet networks is deficient and reasons why it is slow to build the communication network infrastructure in the remote agricultural and fishing areas. Then economic analysis was performed to find out how much it cost to make it possible for every village of rural areas to access the high-speed internet network as well as sensitivity analysis.

  • Software industry has put more emphasis on maintenance and enhancement work than on the new development. The existing effort estimation models can still be applied to maintenance projects, though modifications are needed. This paper suggests a way to estimate the size of a maintenance project from the regression analysis of ISBSG's benchmarking data. First of all, among the 3 elements(addition, modification and deletion of the program) which influences the software cost, we selected and classified 4 groups from a total of 8 which shows actual maintenance cost from ISBSG's data. Moreover, we developed statistical model and a model which uses RBF(Radial Basis Function) Network and after evaluating each functions we concluded that the RBF Network is superior to the statistical model.

  • This study aimed to explore influencing factors on the establishment of the network system between public hospitals and to make a process evaluation of it. we analyzed the case of a strategic alliance contracted by a National University Hospital(NUH) and a Community Hospital(CH). Main points of the project were regular dispatch of clinical specialists in the NUH such as gastroenterologist and running teleradiology program. The NUH considered the improvement of it's image as a public hospital as a successful element of the network program. The provincial office which have to manage the CH satisfied with these program in terms of helping CH in need of clinical specialists. Staffs in the CH pointed out the problem of discontinuity for patients who visited the CH. Three institutes argued that continuous support of central government in the relevant institution and budget could play the most important role in the advance of the network system between public hospitals.
