유전적 프로그래밍과 SOM을 결합한 개선된 선박 설계용 데이터 마이닝 시스템 개발 (Development of Data Mining System for Ship Design using Combined Genetic Programming with Self Organizing Map)

  • Recently, knowledge management has been required in companies as a tool of competitiveness. Companies have constructed Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system in order to manage huge knowledge. But, it is not easy to formalize knowledge in organization. We focused on data mining system by genetic programming(GP). Data mining system by genetic programming can be useful tools to derive and extract the necessary information and knowledge from the huge accumulated data. However when we don't have enough amounts of data to perform the learning process of genetic programming, we have to reduce input parameter(s) or increase number of learning or training data. In this study, an enhanced data mining method combining Genetic Programming with Self organizing map, that reduces the number of input parameters, is suggested. Experiment results through a prototype implementation are also discussed.

Knowledge-based learning for modeling concrete compressive strength using genetic programming

  • The potential of using genetic programming to predict engineering data has caught the attention of researchers in recent years. The present paper utilized weighted genetic programming (WGP), a derivative model of genetic programming (GP), to model the compressive strength of concrete. The calculation results of Abrams' laws, which are used as the design codes for calculating the compressive strength of concrete, were treated as the inputs for the genetic programming model. Therefore, knowledge of the Abrams' laws, which is not a factor of influence on common data-based learning approaches, was considered to be a potential factor affecting genetic programming models. Significant outcomes of this work include: 1) the employed design codes positively affected the prediction accuracy of modeling the compressive strength of concrete; 2) a new equation was suggested to replace the design code for predicting concrete strength; and 3) common data-based learning approaches were evolved into knowledge-based learning approaches using historical data and design codes.

  • As development of information technology, companies stress the need of knowledge management. Companies construct ERP system including knowledge management. But, it is not easy to formalize knowledge in organization. They experience that constructing information system help knowledge management. Now, we focus on engineering knowledge. Because engineering data contains experts' experience and know-how in its own, engineering knowledge is a treasure house of knowledge. Korean shipyards are leader of world shipbuilding industry. They have accumulated a store of knowledges and data. But, they don't have data minning tool to utilize accumulated data. This paper treats development of data minning tools for the utilization of shipbuilding knowledge based on genetic programming (GP).

예비교사의 프로그래밍 교수내용지식 향상을 위한 프로그래밍 교육프로그램 설계 (Designing Programming Curriculum for Developing Programming Pedagogical Content Knowledge of Pre-service Informatics Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 프로그래밍 교육을 효과적으로 실시하기 위한 실제적 능력을 향상시키기 위하여 프로그래밍 교육 프로그램을 설계하고 적용하여 예비교사의 프로그래밍 교수내용지식의 변화를 확인한 연구이다. 제작된 교육 프로그램에서는 블록 기반 모바일 프로그래밍 언어인 앱 인벤터를 사용하였고, 문제 기반 학습 방법과 프로젝트 기반 학습 방법을 활용하였다. 개발된 교육프로그램을 예비정보교사에게 교육하고 프로그래밍 교수내용지식을 확인하기 위한 평가문항으로 자기평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과 문제 기반 학습 방법으로 프로그래밍을 학습한 후 프로그래밍 교수내용지식 점수와 교수법영역 지식의 점수가 유의하게 향상되었고, 프로젝트 기반 학습 방법을 적용한 후 내용지식영역, 교수법영역, 교육과정영역의 점수가 유의하게 향상되었다.

  • Knowledge discovery refers to the overall process of discovering useful knowledge from data. The linear programming model is a special form of useful knowledge that is embedded in a database. Since formulating models from scratch requires knowledge-intensive efforts, knowledge-based formulation support systems have been proposed in the DSS area. However, they rely on the strict assumption that sufficient domain knowledge should already be captured as a specific knowledge representation form. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology that finds useful knowledge on building linear programming models from a database. The methodology consists of two parts. The first part is to find s first-cut model based on a data dictionary. To do so, we applied the GPS algorithm. The second part is to discover a second-cut model by applying neural network technique. An illustrative example is described to show the feasibility of the proposed methodology.

  • In work scheduling problems, scheduling constraints are not absolutely rigid; they may be changed depending on the scheduling aspect effected. In order to cope with changes in scheduling constraints and assignment strategies and to optimize scheduling results quickly, this paper will propose a new scheduling method which combines knowledge engineering and mathematical programming techniques.

  • The programmable logic controller(PLC) programming has been manually carried out, which might cause the productivity decrease by omission and repetition of instruction. Recently, the knowledge-based automatic programming system is introduced. In the system, input/output(I/O) addresses are input by user. In this study, we developed the prototype system for automatic I/O addressing using knowledge-based technology, With the developed system, the PLC addressing task can he consistently and effectively performed.

대학 프로그래밍 강좌를 위한 프로그래밍 교육 프레임워크 (The Programming Education Framework for Programming Course in University)

  • 본 연구는 대학에서 교육되고 있는 프로그래밍 강좌를 위한 프로그래밍 교육 프레임워크를 제안한다. 먼저 프로그래밍에 관한 국내외의 다양한 심리학 및 교육학 관련 논문을 살펴본 결과, 몇 개의 논문에서 초보 프로그래머와 전문 프로그래머 사이에 존재하는 정신 모델, 프로그래밍 지식과 전략에 관한 차이를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 초보 프로그래머가 겪는 많은 문제점들도 확인할 수 있었다. 그래서 이를 우선 정리하여 프로그래밍 교사에게 실제적인 도움이 될 수 있는 시사점을 도출하였고, 초보 프로그래머의 실력을 향상시키기 위해 프로그래밍 개발 과정, 프로그래밍 학습 요소, 교수학습 방법을 세 개의 차원으로 하는 프로그래밍 교육 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이 프레임워크는 프로그래밍 강좌의 개발과 운영, 평가를 위한 가이드라인이 될 것이다.
