모션 라이더를 위한 시각 시뮬레이션 시스템의 개발 (Development of a Visual Simulation System for the Motion Rider)

  • In this paper, we propose the visual simulation system for virtual reality motion rider system. The visual simulation system can apply verity virtual reality system. This paper deals with programs on 3D automatic creation of terrain, road design, and a realtime rendering program for the virtual reality system. For the 3D automatic creation of terrain, DEM data and rectangular grid method are applied. We can make two different road object with the road design program. One of them includes road definition, and the other is obtained by using 'NURBS curve.' Visual simulation is consisted by additional modeling and real-time rendering. We can apply the programs made in this way to visual system of driving simulator.

LUMENA Program을 이용한 의상 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 I (A Study on Costume Design Simulation using LUMENA Program I)

  • A computer simulation methiod for costume design has been developed using LUMENA, a generic-purpose 2-dimensional graphic software. In this study the palette, tone chart, fabric chart, styling chart, and costume drawing were constructed on the computer. In costume design simulation, fabric swatches with various colors and patterns were applied to the base garment image taken by using a scanner or a video camera. In this procedure the original 3-dimensional effect was fully retained. Using this simulation method, a number of costume designs could be carried out in short time without actually making the garment. A portfolio including the tone chart, fabric chart, styling chart, costume drawing, and simulation results were made for the purpose of demonstration, using the animation tools of LUMENA.

  • A*algorithm is highly useful to search the shortest route to the destination in the evacuation simulation. For this reason, A*algorithm is used to evaluate the evacuation experiment by the computer simulation. However there are some problems to analyze the outcome in relation to the reality. Because all the people in the building are not well-informed of the shortest route to the exit. And they will not move to the disaster spot though it is shortest route to the exit. Therefore, evacuation simulation program based on A*algorithm raise a problem of bottleneck phenomenon and dangerous result by damage surrounding the disaster spot. The purpose of this research is to prove the necessity for dispersion evacuation simulation by Multi agent system to solve the problems of the existing evacuation simulation program based on A*algorithm.

Effects of Clinical Nursing Simulation by Standardized Patient Instructor on Teaching Effectiveness and Clinical Nursing Performance of Nursing Student

  • This study is quasi-experimental study of nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design which applied simulation nursing education programs by standardized patient instructor to look into the effect on the Teaching Effectiveness and Clinical Nursing Performance of nursing students. There was a significant difference between two groups in the Teaching Effectiveness of the nursing students(t= 3.68, p<0.001). There was a no significant difference between two groups in the Clinical Nursing Performance of the nursing students.(t = 1.724, p = 0.089). The simulation nursing education by standardized patient instructor program can help then relieve the Teaching Efficacy of the nursing students. In addition, it is required to develop an appropriate simulation nursing education by standardized patient instructor program considering level and experience of nursing students.

  • The 2-way beam simulation for the diagnostic ultrasound is performed with simplified computation by approximating the transducer and the system. The results show that the simulation program can be used as a good system design tool.

원격교육을 위한 클라이언트/서버구조의 웹 기반 시뮬레이션 환경 : SimDraw (A Web-based Simulation Environment based on the Client/Server Architecture for Distance Education: SimDraw)

  • 최근 인터넷 및 초고속네트워크의 발전과 더불어 원격교육도 활발히 이용되고 있다. 온라인 강의(교수-학습)툴에 대한 상대적으로 많은 연구와는 비교되게 가상실험 툴에 대한 연구는 미진하다고 할수 있다. 본 논문에서는 원격교육용 가상실험실로 사용될 수 있는 웹 기반 시뮬레이션 툴, SimDraw를 설계 및 구현한다. 웹 기반 시뮬레이션기술을 원격교육에 적용시키기 위해서는 다음과 같은 몇 가지 요구사항이 만족되어야 한다. 첫째, 시뮬레이션 툴의 사용자 인터페이스가 간단해서 학생들이 쉽게 사용할 수 있어야 한다. 둘째, 원격 학생들의 다양한 컴퓨터 환경에서도 일관되게 실행될 수 있을 정도로 이식성이 있어야 한다. 마지막으로 셋째, 시뮬레이션 프로그램이 충분히 가벼워서 학생들이 설치 없이 사용이 가능하거나 혹은 설치가 매우 간결하고 쉽게 이루어질 수 있어야 한다. 이러한 요구조건을 만족시키기 위해 SimDraw는 클라이언트/서버구조에 기반하고 있다. 클라이언트프로그램은 모델작성 및 애니메이션 기능만을 가지고 있으므로 자바 애플릿으로 구현이 가능하고 웹 브라우져 내에서 실행될 수 있다. 즉 설치가 전혀 필요 없다. 서버프로그램은 원격컴파일, 모델저장, 라이브러리관리, 사용자관리 등의 기능을 클라이언트 측에 제공한다. SimDraw의 기능을 평가하기 위해 RIP(Routing Information Protocol) 라우팅 프로토콜의 가상 실험을 예로 들어서 시뮬레이션 과정을 보였다.

효율적 수치해석을 위한 오픈소스 프로그램 기반 해석 플랫폼 구축 및 사례 연구 (Construction of Open-source Program Platform for Efficient Numerical Analysis and Its Case Study)

  • 본 연구에서는 실제 지질구조를 반영한 실규모 수치해석을 효율적으로 수행하고자 탐사 자료를 바탕으로 한 메쉬 생성, 해석수행, 결과분석을 위한 후처리의 일련의 과정을 포함한 해석 플랫폼을 구축하였다. 해석 플랫폼 구축을 위하여 연구자의 필요에 따른 코드 수정 및 다양한 수치해석 프로그램과 호환이 가능할 수 있도록 소스코드가 공개되어 있는오픈소스 프로그램을 활용하였다. 먼저 드론을 활용하여 촬영한 탐사 정보를 바탕으로 3차원 모델을 획득한 후, 오픈소스 3차원 창작 소프트웨어인 Blender를 활용하여 도메인의 메쉬 밀도를 해석 가능한 수준으로 조정하였다. 다음 단계로는 유한요소 메쉬 생성 프로그램인 Gmsh를 활용하여 도메인 내부에 사면체 기반의 메쉬를 생성하여 3차원 모델을 생성하였다. Gmsh를 통해 획득된 메쉬 정보를 수치해석 프로그램에 활용하기 위해서 메쉬 생성 규약에 적합하도록 변환하는 과정이 필요하며, 이는 Python을 통해 코드를 작성하여 수행하였다. 안정성 해석이 완료된 뒤에는 자료의 후처리 작업을 위해 시각화 및 데이터 분석 프로그램인 ParaView를 활용하여 다양한 시각화 자료를 생성하였다. 구성된 플랫폼의 활용성을 확인하기 위해 드론 탐사자료를 바탕으로 생성한 실규모 독도 모델을 대상으로 예비 안정성 분석을 성공적으로 수행하였으며, 예비해석을 통해 구축된 해석플랫폼이 향후 다양한 해석 과정에 활용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

시뮬레이션 기반 응급기도관리 교육이 간호사의 자기효능감, 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과 (The Impact of a Simulation-based Education Program for Emergency Airway Management on Self-efficacy and Clinical Performance among Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to test the impact of simulation-based education program for emergency airway management on self-efficacy and clinical performance ability. Methods: A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group pre-post test design was used. A total of 60 nurses, 30 nurses assigned to the simulation-based education group and 30 nurses to a traditional lecture group. The treatment group received a lecture, small group workshop and team simulation whereas the comparison group received lectures. Results: The participants in the simulation-based education group reported significantly higher self-efficacy of emergency airway management compared to participants in the lecture only group (t=5.985, p<.001). The simulation-based education group showed significantly higher clinical performance ability of emergency airway management compared with the lecture group (t=5.532, p<.001). Conclusion: Simulation-based education was verified to be an effective teaching method to improve the self-efficacy, clinical performance skills of nurses in the learning of emergency airway management.

Effectiveness of the Infectious Disease (COVID-19) Simulation Module Program on Nursing Students: Disaster Nursing Scenarios

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop an emerging infectious disease (COVID-19) simulation module for nursing students and verify its effectiveness. Methods: A one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study was conducted with 78 under-graduate nursing students. A simulation module was developed based on the Jeffries simulation model. It consisted of pre-simulation lectures on disaster nursing including infectious disease pandemics, practice, and debriefings with serial tests. The scenarios contained pre-hospital settings, home visits, arrival to the emergency department, and follow-up home visits for rehabilitation. Results: Disaster preparedness showed a statistically significant improvement, as did competencies in disaster nursing. Confidence in disaster nursing increased, as did willingness to participate in disaster response. However, critical thinking did not show significant differences between time points, and neither did triage scores. Conclusion: The developed simulation program targeting an infectious disease disaster positively impacts disaster preparedness, disaster nursing competency, and confidence in disaster nursing, among nursing students. Further studies are required to develop a high-fidelity module for nursing students and medical personnel. Based on the current pandemic, we suggest developing more scenarios with virtual reality simulations, as disaster simulation nursing education is required now more than ever.

간호대학생 대상의 고충실도 시뮬레이터를 이용한 분만 간호 교육 프로그램의 개발 및 효과 (Development and effects of a labor nursing education program using a high-fidelity simulator for nursing students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of an education program using a high-fidelity simulator of labor and delivery on nursing knowledge, critical thinking, and clinical performance among nursing students who had not yet experienced clinical practicum. Methods: The development of a 5-week maternity nursing education programs using high-fidelity simulators included modules containing case-oriented scenarios, knowledge, and skills required for maternity care. A randomized controlled study was conducted to verify the effects of the developed program. Data were collected from October 21 to December 9, 2019. The experimental group (n=36) participated in a 5-week high-fidelity simulation program on care for the woman in labor, whereas the control group (n=36) received standard education as lecture and practice with delivery model. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation), the Chi-square test, Fisher exact test, and t-test. Results: For participants who received education using the high-fidelity simulation program, nursing knowledge (t=2.33, p=.011), critical thinking (t=3.73, p<.001), and clinical performance (t=2.53, p=.006) were significantly higher than in the control group. Conclusion: Even for students with no clinical experience, high-fidelity simulation-based nursing education was effective in improving nursing knowledge, critical thinking, and clinical performance among nursing students. Nurse educators will be able to use this high-fidelity simulator effectively, especially in situations where direct clinical practicum may not be feasible.
