  • In the ubiquitous computing environment, service providers should able to deliver their services to various devices, such as PDA Smart Phone, Telematics devices. For this, W3C announced 'Composite Capabilities/Preference Profile (CC/PP) Standard' for delivery-context description. But at present, only a small number of mobile phone supports the CC/PP standard, most of contents servers do not support the CC/PP profiles. In this paper, a rule-based CC/PP profiling method in ubiquitous environment is developed. A rule-based profiles are generated by analyzing request headers which are received from various ubiquitous devices. Service providers can use these profiles to provide optimized services to the various devices which have different capabilities.

  • 'Ubiquitous Computing' is the most important paradigm of the next generation Information-Communication technology. The one of important problems to develop ubiquitous computing service system get hold of relations between times of transfer objects and events of transfer objects. Another problem is what reason transfer-pattern through location data of transfer objects. In this paper, we propose an approach to offer temporal-relation service in ubiquitous computing environment. The first is temporal reasoning in service viewpoint. The second is temporal reasoning to record user's preference. Users have preferences that are closely connected with time. These preferences are recorded at user profile. Therefore, the user profile-based ubiquitous service system can offer suitable service to users.

  • In this paper, the management architecture and the ubiquitous profile based on CC/PP for contents adaptation in the ubiquitous environment is designed. The components and the attributes of the ubiquitous profile are defined based on the services scenario of contents adaptation in the ubiquitous environment. The ubiquitous profile was applied to techniques such as standard vocabulary, CC/PP structure, RDF schema and RDF to use effectively in the ubiquitous environment during the design. Also we design and propose the another management architecture based on ideas such as the dynamic constitution method, the metadata constitution method using a repository and the management method of gateway on center for the effective management of the ubiquitous profile. The result of performance evaluation for the proposed management architecture is more effective compared with the previous management method of the profile. The proposed the ubiquitous profile and the management architecture has provided the foundation of the research for a user to adaptation contents services in the ubiquitous environment.

  • Web based learning systems are operating with various and lots of learning contents. But it is hard to construct learning contents to fit learners when they select learning contents for learning. In this paper, we proposed the recommendation method that can support the learning contents as calculate learner's preference using the learning history information of learner's profile when learner design and compose learning course. In the applying result of this method, we've selected testing learner group and was able to know it can help to learner processing learning by themselves as we've got great learning satisfaction after test.

  • This paper proposes a HPPS(Hybrid Preference Prediction System) design using the analysis of user profile and of the similarity among users precisely to predict the preference for custom-tailored service. Contrary to the existing NBCFA(Neighborhood Based Collaborative Filtering Algorithm), this paper is designed using these following rules. First, if there is no neighbor's commodity rating value in a preference prediction formula, this formula uses the rating average value for a commodity. Second, this formula reflects the weighting value through the analysis of a user's characteristics. Finally, when the nearest neighbor is selected, we consider the similarity, the commodity rating, and the rating frequency. Therefore, the first and second preference prediction formula made HPPS improve the precision by 97.24%, and the nearest neighbor selection method made HPPS improve the precision by 75%, compared with the existing NBCFA.

  • Objective: To gather inputs from clinical experts on selecting and prioritizing research topics, to address unmet vaccine safety needs. Methods: A questionnaire containing 15 vaccine safety assessment research proposals was sent to 28 vaccine experts chosen from various domestic medical association boards, and the rationale for each of the proposals was provided by presenting the following information: 1) a brief summary of the clinical safety studies on the vaccine, conducted by the Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment (CISA) project group, supervised by the United States Center for Disease Control (U.S. CDC), and 2) a summary of recently published studies that address vaccine safety issues. The experts were instructed to select and rank 5 topics in the order of preference, and the preference score for each proposed topic was calculated by assigning points on a scale of 1 to 5. Results: All 28 experts responded to the questionnaire, and the following topics were selected according to their calculated preference scores: 1) Human papillomavirus vaccine safety profile in the Korean female adolescents; 2) A signal detection of adverse events following Influenza vaccination: comparison between the US and South Korea; 3) Incidence of anaphylaxis following National Immunization Program vaccines between 2008 and 2017; 4) Safety of quadrivalent influenza vaccines compared to trivalent influenza vaccines; and 5) Pneumococcal vaccine safety profile in the general population. Conclusion: Five research topics addressing vaccine safety were selected, for which well-constructed research protocols need to be promptly developed to address current unmet vaccine safety needs in South Korea.

  • Recently, new intelligent service frameworks, such as ubiquitous computing are proposed. So, the necessity of adaptive agent system has been increased. In this paper, we propose an intelligent service agent to help that ubiquitous computing system offer user suitable service in ubiquitous computing environment. In order to offer user suitable uT-service, an intelligent service agent mediates the gap between the context information in uT-service system, and user preference is reflected in it. Therefore, we focus on following three components; the first is suitable multi agent framework-agent communication analysis and applicable method of inference engine, the second is uT-ontologies to describe various context information-context information sharing between agents and context information understanding between agents, the third is learning method of user profile to apply in uT-service system. This approach enables us to build adaptive uT-service system to offer suitable service according to user preference.

  • The development of mobile devices and the spread of wireless network help share and exchange information and resources more easily. The bond them to Cloud Computing technology help pay attention to "Mobile Cloud" service, so there have been being a lot of studies on "Mobile Cloud" service. Especially, the important of 'Personalization Service' which is customized for each user's preference and context has been increasing. In order to provide appropriate personalization services, it enables to recognize user's current state, analyze the user's profile like user's tendency and preference, and draw the service answering the user's request. Most existing frameworks, however, are not very suitable for mobile devices because they were proposed on the web-based. And other context information except location information among user's context information are not much considered. Therefore, this paper proposed the context-aware framework, which provides more suitable services by using user's context and profile.

  • As an useful application in broadcasting services, the targeting service has been mainly studied to improve the service satisfaction and user usage in various media service environments based on user profile, preferences, and usage history. Targeting service is expanding its domain from broadcasting contents to interstitial contents and from fixed TV devices to mobile devices. Service data also include advertisement data, coupon, and information about media contents as well as simple broadcasting data. In this paper, the targeting data service is designed and implemented on articles, advertisement and broadcasting information on the basis of the user information. To adapt this to web-based media contents, information on user profile, preferences, and usage history is newly defined on the basis of the user metadata developed in TV-Anytime Forum and the user information defined in OpenSocial. The targeting data service is implemented to generate user preferences information and usage history pattern based on the similarity among user preference, contents information, and usage history. Based on performance evaluation, we prove that the proposed targeting data service is effectively applicable to web-based media contents as well as broadcasting service.

  • Rheological parameters which represent texture of chewing gum at each masticatory stage were selected by analysis of correlations among instrumental, sensory parameters and preferences. Sensory stiffness and instrumental puncture work were representative rheological parameters at initial stage, and sensory firmness and instrumental hardness at intermediate stage. The representative rheological parameters at final stage were sensory firmness and lift, and instrumental hardness, the slope of force-distance cruve of penetration test and springiness. An equation predicting consumer's preference and ideal texture profile of chewing gum with representative instrumental parameters were proposed.
