Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the influence of professionalism, role conflict and work environment in clinical nurses with expanded role (CNE) on job embeddedness. Methods: The participants in this study were 136 CNE working in general hospitals in Seoul, the wider metropolitan area and Gangwon Province. Results: Job embeddedness, work environment and professional performance of the participants showed positive correlation with each other. Significant predictors of embeddeness were belief in public service and sense of calling in the professional subcategory and participation in hospital affairs and nurse-doctor relationship in the work environment subcategory. Conclusion: Finding from this study indicate the need to evaluate and improve the significant predictors of job embeddedness for CNE.

It is about time for Korean plant engineering industry to evaluate what they have achieved in the past and to foresee how this industry will change in the future. Since the IMF infection in the late 1997, Korean engineering industry has become to realize how important it is to formulate plans and solutions in order to be successful in the EPC industry. Korean plant engineering has accomplished remarkable growth in terms of its sales volumes and sizes of petrochemical & refinery plants they have executed, but unfortunately they have not done a nice job of generating sufficient profits. Many Korean engineering companies have carried out million and billion dollars of "projects" where they unfortunately suffered deficits, and as a result, some companies actually went deteriorated and were merged, and acquired by bigger companies. Based on above philosophy, the ten(10) key factors are suggested regarding a proposal for role and mission of chemical engineering professional engineer in plant engineering industry in the 21\\\" century.

This study investigated the key role of sketches in creative fashion design by observing the cognitive process of idea development through a professional's design problem solving using the medium of hand sketching. The three-part semi-constrained design experiment with a professional designer, in which the participant designer was provided a source of inspiration image and asked to design a small collection of outfits, identified a fashion designer's idea development process as involving two phases of sketch processes: lateral and vertical transformation. Analysis of the video/audio recording and corresponding interviews validated lateral transformation in the designer's use of sketches to represent interpretation of the provided inspiration source. Through sketching, the designer transferred fuzzy ideas onto paper. Vertical transformation was observed through the designer's modification of previous ideas after reflecting on earlier sketches, with various ideas divided, manipulated, discarded, regrouped, and combined through sketching activities. The designer's sketching process is valuable design knowledge that facilitates the idea development process and ultimately triggers generation of creative ideas. Understanding it may benefit practitioners and educators.

This study aims to identify the determinants of student interest in pursuing Accounting Professional Education (Indonesia: PPAk) in Province of Bali. The determinants which the author has used are: independent variables are social motivation, career motivation, quality motivation, and duration of education. The sample in this study comprises of 75 respondents who are students of Accounting discipline at the Faculty of Economics and Business at universities in the Province of Bali. Data was collected using a questionnaire and have been processed using multiple regression analysis. The results show that social motivation, career motivation, and quality motivation have a positive effect on students' interest in studying Accounting Professional Education. On the other hand, the duration of the accounting course has a negative effect on students' interest in studying this program. The importance of role of a professional accountant in realizing transparency in public life, and an economy that is free from financial deceit and fraud makes the role of professional accounting institutions very important. However, graduates' who desire to continue their studies in the PPAk program tends to be low. The findings of this research are expected to become the basis for policy makers in formulating rules related to the development of the accounting profession in the society, especially in Indonesia.

Professionalizing the teaching workforce has been recognized as one of the primary factors to reforming public education. In response to this challenge, it has been emphasized that an educational leader's role is to support professional learning communities more effectively. Although the academia of educational administration has increasingly drawn the significance of a teacher's professional development, understanding of an educational leader's role and contribution to this effort is quite limited and unclear. This article examines what factors and barriers affect teachers' participation in professional learning communities from the voices and experiences of teachers. The analysis found 1) identification, 2) autonomous will, 3) practical solution for factors to participation and 1) lack of theoretical foundation, 2) financial burden, 3) insufficient time for barriers to participation. In conclusion, the author suggests the strategies for an educational leader who has an important role in developing a teacher's professionalism: 1) create a strong network of university professors and other experts for career advice, 2) make an institutional effort to stimulate teachers' motivation to learn; 3) decrease the teachers' workload, 4) build a synthesized and consolidated system to establish communities.

The object of this study was to examine the sex role attitudes of the housewives(mothers) and daughters in Seoul, and whether mother sex role attitude had influence on her daughter's and the sociodemographic variables of mother had an effect on her daughter sex role attitude or not. Questionnaire was given to randomly selected mothers and daughters in Seoul in sept., 1983. Data from the 384 responses was analyzed by percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, F-test and t-test . It was found that; 1) Generally, the housewives in Seoul had traditional sex role attitudes. 2) the housewives who were educated the high level, paied the higher salary and employed in professional job had the moderner sex role attitudes, age, religion, employed or unemployed were not variables to have influence on the mother sex role attitude. 3) The adolescent daughters in Seoul had moderner sex role attitude than that if their mothers. 4) Mother sex role attitude had influence on the daughter's 5) The daughter sex role attitude was influenced by the mother's sociodemographic variables. The daughter sex role attitude brought up form the mother who was educated the higher level and employed in professional job was modern. But mother's age, religion and employed or unemployed had little influence on the daughter sex role attitude.

본 연구의 목적은 장애인스포츠지도자들의 감정노동이 직무스트레스 및 전문직업정체성에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 있다. 수도권 지역의 장애인체육회, 재활스포츠센터, 장애인복지관에서 근무하는 장애인스포츠지도자를 대상으로 190부를 회수하여 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 통계 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 감정노동의 하위요인인 감정부조화는 직무 스트레스의 역할모호성과 역할과다에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었고, 감정노동의 하위요인인 표현 다양성은 전문직 정체성의 하위요인인 공공성, 전문조직활용, 소명의식에 영향을 미쳤으며, 감정부조화는 전문직 정체성의 자율성, 소명의식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 직무 스트레스의 하위요인인 역할모호성은 전문직 정체성의 영향을 미쳤으며, 역할과다는 공공성과 자율성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 후속 연구에서는 수도권 지역 이외의 전국 지역과 종목별에 따른 장애인스포츠지도자 감정노동 유형에 대한 보다 세밀한 인식과 생각을 포함한 심층 연구가 이뤄지길 기대한다.

This study was to analyze role conception and job satisfaction of clinical nurses by using questionnaire as designed by Corwin and Paula. For this study questionnaires from 422 nurses working at three university hospitals in Seoul were collected during September 11 to 24, 1995. Statistical analyses were done by the SPSS. The techniques used in this study inclued Chi-square test, Pearson correlation coefficients, t-test, ANOVA. For the reliability of the questionnaire, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Role conception of the subjects Five Likert scale variables were used to measure role conception including professional aspect, task aspect, and bureaucratic aspect. The variables measured and their means are as follows; Total mean score for role conception was 4.2. Role conception from professional aspect(4.29); task aspect(4.18): bureaucratic aspect(4.09). 2. Job satisfaction of the subjects Five Likert scale variables were used to measure job satisfaction. The variables measured and their means are as follows; Total mean score for job satisfaction was 2.98. Job satisfaction from interaction (3.49): professinal status(3.19): autonomy(3.17): nurse-doctor relationship(2.90): task requirement(2.82): administration(2.32): salary (2.12). 3. The relationship between general characteristics and role conception. There were statistically significant differences in age(F=5.465, p<.000). merrital status(t=-2.70, p<.007), education(F=3.252, p<.022), work department(F=4.186, p<.003), work experience(F=4.457, p<.001), job position(F=8.141, p<.000). 4. The relationship between general characteristics and job satisfaction There were statistically significant difference In education(F=4.043, p<.003), work department(F=4.218, p<.002). job position(F=8.141, p<.000). 5. The correlation between role conception and job satisfaction It showed positive correlation that there was increased role conception, there was increased job satisfaction(r=.3092, p<.001). There were positive correlation in bureaucratic aspect, task aspect, and professional aspect in order.

The number of Construction Management Professional(CMP) is 2700 among 4600 of the total CMPs in Korea. Their characters and abilities are quite different from others. Because they must have 10 year field experiences, complete 180 hours CM oriented lectures and pass the certification test including written and interview in depth. And then, their level of standard is maintained by the Continuous Professional Development(CPD) program, periodic forum, case study seminar and CMP vision execution strategy sponsored by the CMP Association.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the need for advanced practice nurse and explain the relationship between self-efficacy and professional self-concept among Korean nurses. Method: The participants were 511 Korean nurses who were recruited in hospitals or public health centers in Korea. The instruments used in this study were Sherer et al's self-efficacy instrument, Arthur's professional self-concept instrument, and a structured questionnaire on the need for advanced nurse practitioners. Cronbach alpha, mean, SD, $X^2$, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data using SPSS PC+ ver 12.0 for Windows. Results: Of the nurses, 57.9% of wanted to be advanced practice nurses. The mean of professional self-concept and self-efficacy scores for the nurses were at the medium level. Professional self-concept and self-efficacy of nurses showed significant differences according to age, working location, marital status, level of education, and length of clinical experience. A significant positive correlation was found between professional self-concept and self-efficacy. Conclusion: Before planning to develop the role of Advanced practice nurse, there is a need to measure self-efficacy and professional self-concept among nurses. Politically, strategies to increase self-efficacy and professional self-concept among Korean nurses will be necessary in order to prepare good advanced practice nurse.
