간호대학생의 간호전문직관과 대학의 환경풍토가 윤리적 민감성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Nursing Professionalism and Campus Environment on the Perception of Ethical Sensitivity among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to identify the influence of nursing professionalism and campus environment on the perception of ethical sensitivity among nursing students. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used for this study. The participants were 323 nursing students attending four universities in Busan and Kyungnam. Data collection was conducted from November 25 to December 25, 2017 using a self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The factors influencing ethical sensitivity of nursing students were identified as professional self-concept (${\beta}=.36$), nursing role (${\beta}=.24$), scholarship (${\beta}=.17$), practicability (${\beta}=.17$), and propriety (${\beta}=-.13$). Five factors explained 40.5% of nursing students' ethical sensitivity. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used to develop further educational programs on nursing professionalism and campus environments for enhancement of nursing students' ethical sensitivity.

직업기초능력에 대한 간호대학생의 교육요구도 분석 (Educational needs analysis for key vocational competency in nursing students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 직업기초능력 항목의 현재수준과 중요수준을 파악하고, 직업기초능력 항목에 대한 교육요구도 우선순위를 규명하는 서술적 조사연구이다. 수도권, 강원 및 중북권 소재 5개 대학교에 재학 중인 간호대학생을 대상으로 2016년 6월 1일부터 6월 31일까지 설문조사를 실시하여 최종 411명의 응답자료를 수집 및 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 23.0을 이용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t검정, Borich 요구도 및 The Locus For Focus Model 분석기법을 활용하였다. 본 연구결과 간호대학생은 직업기초능력항목 중 '직업윤리능력', '자기개발능력', '대인관계능력'의 현재수준은 높은 것으로 인식하였고, '의사소통'과 '조직이해능력'의 현재수준은 낮은 것으로 인식하였다. 또한, 간호대학생은 직업기초능력 항목 중 '직업윤리능력', '자기개발능력', '문제해결능력', '의사소통능력', '자원관리능력', '대인관계능력', '정보능력', '기술능력', '조직이해능력', '수리능력' 순으로 중요하다고 인식하였다. 직업기초능력 10개 항목 모두 중요수준과 현재수준의 평균이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 우선순위 분석결과 '의사소통', '문제해결', '자원관리', '자기개발'의 교육요구도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과는 간호대학생의 교육요구도를 고려한 직업기초능력의 교육과정 및 프로그램 개발에 중요한 기초자료가 될 것이다.

유아교사의 전문성 인식과 직무스트레스가 교사와 유아 간 상호작용에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Professionalism Awareness and Occupational Stress on Teacher and Child Interactions in Early Childhood Teachers)

  • 최근 유아교육기관에서 유아들이 보내는 시간이 증가함에 따라 유아교사의 질적 향상이 그 무엇보다 중요한 문제로 부각되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 유아교사의 전문성 인식과 직무스트레스가 교사와 유아 간 상호작용에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 어린이집과 유치원에 근무하는 유아 교사로 30개원 150명을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하였고, 총 134부의 설문지를 회수하여 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 유아교사의 전문성 인식과 직무스트레스 사이에서 원장의 지도력 및 행정적 지원 부족이 교사의 전문성 인식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 전문성 인식과 상호작용의 상관관계에서 언어적 상호작용과 행동적 상호작용이 정서적 상호작용의 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 유아교사의 전문성 인식과 직무스트레스가 정서적 상호작용에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 전문성 인식의 여러 하위변인 중 직업윤리와 전문적 지식과 기술 요구의 변인이 긍정적인 영향을 주어 교사와 유아 간 상호작용의 정서적 언어적 행동적 상호작용의 모든 변인에서 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

미국치과위생사의 전문직화에 대한 고찰 (The Professionalization of American Dental Hygienist)

  • 2013년, 치과위생사 역사의 100주년을 맞이하였다. 1913년, Dr. Fones가 Bridgeport Junior College에 2년 과정의 치위생교육프로그램을 개설하며, 구강간호가 아닌 구강질환의 예방과 보건학을 전문으로 하는 '치과위생사' 라는 직종명칭을 사용한 것이 그 시초다. 미국에서 최초로 치과위생사 제도를 최초로 도입한 만큼, 미국치과위생사의 발전과정을 되짚어 보는 것은 국제적인 치위생계 발전과정을 확인하고, 각국의 제도를 비교할 수 있는 근간이 될 것이다. 이 연구는 지난 100년간 미국치과위생사가 전문직 역할을 수립해 나가는 과정을 '치과위생사 조직의 발전과정', '치위생학 교육제도의 발전과정', '치과위생사 면허 및 관련 자격제도의 발전과정', '치과위생사 관련 법령과 윤리' 및 '미국치과위생사의 역할 및 업무범위의 발전과정' 요건에 따라 고찰하는 것이다. 미국치과위생사는 전문직 요건을 형성하고 있고 사회적 분위기 역시 전문직으로 인식하고 있다. 이에 미국치과위생사가 오늘날의 모습으로 전문직화해 온 과정과 그 특징을 규명하는 데 연구목적을 두고, 이 목적을 달성하기 위해 요건 별 문헌자료를 수집하고 분석하였다.

초등교사를 위한 환경교육 연수 교육 과정 개발 (Curriculum Development of Elementary Teacher In-Service Training Program for Environmental Education)

  • Since Environmental Education in Elementary School is taught separately in various subject area, a well-founded and organized curriculum in integrated Environmental Education is needed to educate teachers for professional development. In this research, a curriculum for elementary teacher in-service training program was developed in order to improve both environmental and educational competencies of elementary school teachers. The curriculum was based on the needs analysis on Environmental Education training for elementary school teachers. Also it was based on international and updated perspectives on Environmental Education, Education for Sustainable Development. The curriculum consists of the introduction and the particular perspectives. The particular is made of 60 hours, which covers 6 perspectives on environment. They are ecological perspective, environmental ethics perspective, social-cultural perspective, economic perspective, environmental hygienic perspective, and environmental policy. Environmental policies of Korea and the world were included so that teachers will understand efforts made at national level and participate more to environmental action in their schools. Lesson objectives were specified for teachers to apply this curriculum to their classroom easily. Related elementary curriculum and textbook were indicated at the end of each lesson so teachers can link their training setting with their classroom setting. Especially, in this curriculum various teaching and teaming methods for each lesson are introduced. Thus, this re- search is very practical for elementary school teachers who are planning to teach environment in their classroom.

간호사 임상경력단계에 따른 역량기반 보수교육시스템 개발을 위한 연구 (A Study for Development of Competency-Based Continuing Education System Depending on Nurses Clinical Ladder)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호사 보수교육을 위한 간호역량을 도출하고 간호역량의 정의와 지식기반을 규명하며, 경력단계를 구분하여 역량기반 보수교육시스템 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 국내외 문헌 10개를 분석하여 간호역량을 도출 정의하였고, Carper와 Chinn & Kramer의 연구를 근거로 각 간호역량의 지식기반을 규명하였다. 간호사 경력단계별 간호역량 행동지표를 개발한 후, 국내 전문가 7인을 선정하여 내용타당도를 검증하였다. 연구결과 보수교육 이수를 위한 간호역량은 근거기반환자간호, 교육과 지도상담, 간호관리와 리더십, 법과 윤리, 직업가치와 전문성 개발, 연구와 정책개발이었다. 또한 보수교육 이수를 위한 임상경력 4단계 구분과 24개 간호역량 행동지표의 타당성을 확인하였고, 임상경력단계별 간호사 보수교육방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 임상경력단계에 따른 역량기반 보수교육시스템이 국내 간호사의 전문성 향상을 위한 효과적인 인적자원개발 전략으로 활용되기를 기대한다.

치위생학생의 윤리적 가치관에 관한 연구 (A study on the ethical values of dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the ethical values of dental hygiene students and set up the way of ethic educationin educational course. Methods: The subjects in this study were 948 students in four colleges located in the metropolitan area, on whom a survey was conducted. Results : 1. Regarding values of human life, they got a mean of 3.01, which showed that they sort of took a deontological view. 2. As to values of dental hygiene duties, they got a mean of 3.62, which indicated that they took a deontological view. 3. Concerning values of clients, they got a mean of 3.22, which implied that they took a deontological view. 4. As for values of collaborators, they got a mean of 3.90, which denoted that they took a very deontological view. 5. In regard to correlation among each part of their ethical values, there was a very significant correlation between their views of dental hygiene duties and human life, and between their views of clients and collaborators(p<.001). 6. As to the relationship of general characteristics to ethical values, they took a significantly different view of human life according to academic year(p<.05), religion(p<.001), religious enthusiasm(p<.0010) and attitude to the occupation of dental hygienist(p<.001). Academic year Conclusions : Regardings ethical values of dental hygiene students which showed that they took a deontological view than autilitarianism view in all parts. Accordingly, In order to establish desirable ethical values, it was scrutinized that reinforcement of education on biomedical ethics and professional ethics in curriculum was needed.

치위생학과 학생의 직업인성역량에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Occupational Personality Competence of Dental Hygiene Students)

  • Background: A study was conducted to check the occupational personality competency status of students enrolled in the three-year dental hygiene department and to understand the contents of vocational personality education to be prepared according to these results. Methods: For 240 students enrolled in the Department of Dental Hygiene in Area, Daegu, the College Student Occupational Personality Scale (OPSU) was administered. Results: The higher the major satisfaction (F=10.589, p<0.000) and the higher the major performance (F=3.704, p<0.01), the higher the vocational personality competency. The average occupational personality competency for job adaptation was 3.96±0.47 points (out of 5 points). As for the average for each sub-area, consideration was the highest at 4.51±0.42, and confidence was the lowest at 3.54±0.84. Among professional personality competencies, the average of each sub-area showed the highest positive correlation in the order of positivity (r=0.835, p<0.00), reliability (r=0.769, p<0.00), and community consciousness (r=0.767, p<0.00), and consideration (r=0.696, p<0.00) showed the lowest correlation. Conclusions: Personalized career and employment education should be provided in consideration of the individual occupational personality level of dental hygiene students considering the characteristics of the health and medical fields, and individual counseling should be provided in areas that are insufficient or supplemented. In addition, dental hygiene ethics education is necessary for the development of vocational personality competencies in the dental hygiene curriculum, and universities should spare no support for completing vocational personality education programs in preparation for the future society by using comparative programs.

호스피스의료와 간호윤리 (Hospice Medicine and Nursing Ethics)

  • The goal of medicine is to contribute to promoting national health by preventing diseases and providing treatment. The scope of modern medicine isn't merely confined to disease testing, treatment and prevention in accordance to that, and making experiments by using the human body is widespread. The advance in modern medicine has made a great contribution to valuing human dignity and actualizing a manly life, but there is a problem that has still nagged modern medicine: treatment and healing for terminal patients including cancer patients. In advanced countries, pain care and hospice medicine are already universal. Offering a helping hand for terminal patients to lead a less painful and more manly life from diverse angles instead of merely focusing on treatment is called the very hospice medicine. That is a comprehensive package of medical services to take care of death-facing terminal patients and their families with affection. That is providing physical, mental and social support for the patients to pass away in peace after living a dignified and decent life, and that is comforting their bereaved families. The National Hospice Organization of the United States provides terminal patients and their families with sustained hospital care and home care in a move to lend assistance to them. In our country, however, tertiary medical institutions simply provide medical care for terminal patients to extend their lives, and there are few institutional efforts to help them. Hospice medicine is offered mostly in our country by non- professionals including doctors, nurses, social workers, pastors or physical therapists. Terminal patients' needs cannot be satisfied in the same manner as those of other patients, and it's needed to take a different approach to their treatment as well. Nevertheless, the focus of medical care is still placed on treatment only, which should be taken seriously. Ministry for Health, Welfare & Family Affairs and Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service held a public hearing on May 21, 2008, on the cost of hospice care, quality control and demonstration project to gather extensive opinions from the academic community, experts and consumer groups to draw up plans about manpower supply, facilities and demonstration project, but the institutions are not going to work on hospice education, securement of facilities and relevant legislation. In 2002, Ministry for Health, Welfare & Family Affairs made an official announcement to introduce a hospice nurse system to nurture nurse specialists in this area. That ministry legislated for the qualifications of advanced nurse practitioner and a hospice nurse system(Article 24 and 2 in Enforcement Regulations for the Medical Law), but few specific plans are under way to carry out the regulations. It's well known that the medical law defines a nurse as a professional health care worker, and there is a move to draw a line between the responsibilities of doctors and those of nurses in association with medical errors. Specifically, the roles of professional hospice are increasingly expected to be accentuated in conjunction with treatment for terminal patients, and it seems that delving into possible problems with the job performance of nurses and coming up with workable countermeasures are what scholars of conscience should do in an effort to contribute to the development of medicine and the realization of a dignified and manly life.

광주광역시 치과위생사의 NCS 기반 직업기초능력 우선순위 분석 (Priority analysis of NCS based vocational core competency of dental hygienists in Gwangju)

  • Objectives: This study aims to investigate and analyzed the priority of vocational core competency factors in dental hygienists in Gwangju. Methods: Expert survey was conducted and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) was applied to evaluate the weighting factors. First, we established the vocational core competency defined in NCS as AHP analysis model. The vocational core competency has 10 categories and 34 sub-categories. Secondly, AHP survey was conducted by 195 dental hygienists in Gwangju. Finally, the weights representing relative importance of each factor were calculated by using AHP method. Results: The AHP analysis on 10 categories showed that the weighting of interpersonal skills(0.165) was higher than any other categories while that of numeracy(0.035) was at the bottom, and the analysis on sub-categories revealed that the most important factors in each categories included the teamwork skills(interpersonal skills), problem-solving capability(problem-solving skills), listening skills(communication skills), ethical community(professional ethics), ability to understand business(ability to understand organizational structure), applicable technical skills(technical skills), self-management skills(self-development capability), information processing capabilities(information capacity), ability to manage time(resource management capabilities) and basic math skills(numeracy). Conclusions: The results in this study can be used as basic data for the development of liberal arts curriculum for dental hygiene education.
