Presently, the performance level of the college student has received a great deal of attention, particularly in the area of professional education. The problem of under achievement, especially in areas dealing with science and technology, has gone through considerable investigation by numerous Psychologists and Educators. Thus for, however, they have not been successful in determining conclusively the non-intellectual factors involved. The maladjustment problem of these students has been a thorn in the side of nursing education for some time. This topic has been discussed among nursing educators without any tangible results. Furthermore, the fact that the number of students who withdraw from nursing education programs before graduation has increased. This represents a major problem for nursing education. This problem area had increased attention drawn to it on October 1957, when Russia successfully launched to first satellite "Sputnik" into space. Various studies seem to indicate that factors related to over achievement and under.achievement can be found in the motivation of the students. This study is aimed at testing 3 hypotheses which hopefully will lead to a better understanding of the learning activities of nursing students and to determine some of their nonintellectually personality traits. Hypothesis I: learning activities in nursing students and persona1ity are correlated, there will be significant differences in personality need structures between 4 classes of nursing collegiate students. Sub-hypothesis: There will also be significant differences in the degree of student satisfaction in her major subject. Hypothesis I: If there is a special personality need structure which is required for the clinical learning activity in general, then there will be significant differences between the personality need structures of under-achievers and overachiever. Hypothesis II : If each clinical nursing subject requires different personality need structures, then there will be differences in personality need structure between the different clinical groups Methodology: 1. Tool: A Korean translation and correction of the Edwards Personal Preference Schedule of U.S.A. was used. 2. Subject and Test Method: Subjects were nursing students at Yonsei University, who enrolled for Fall semester of 1971. The Researcher herself executed the test for the test for the class as a group, and the absent students were tested indidually. Out of 307 students, 293 students (95.4%) were reported. 3. Statistical treatment: The mean and standard deviation for each of the 15 personality need variables were computed and the value of T-test was obtained to determine the differences in the personality need structures between each group. Results: 1, For the first hypothesis, the personality need structures between each of the 4 classes and the reported degree of satisfaction in major subject showed significant differences. Therefore the hypothesis I was accepted. 2. The comparison of personality need structure of under-achievers and over-achievers in clinical fields showed significant differences. Thus hypothesis II was accepted. 3. Personality need structure between clinical subject groups showed significant differences therefore the 3rd hypothesis was accepted.

This qualitative content analysis aims to explore the meaning of experiences for college students who have experienced community service activities. This study aimed to find the essence of college students' community service experiences and provide them with basic data to develop effective personality education methods and service programs. The participants of this study were six college students with community service experience. Data were collected through in-depth interviews from May to September 2019 and were analyzed using the qualitative content analysis method suggested by Graneheim & Lundman. The community service experiences of college students could be summarized by the core theme, "Becoming a social professional through growth and maturity", consisting of the following themes: together in a living experience, growth through sharing, achieving maturity toward professionalism, and experiencing one's limitations. Through this study, it was confirmed that the experience of college students' service activities would cultivate the human character and competency necessary to live with others, the community, and nature. The college student's service activities could be used as an important educational program in personality education.
As a part of attempts to understand better mathematics classroom culture, this paper first reviews plausible factors which influence the mathematics teacher's own development of instructional goals. The proposed factors consist of teacher characteristics and sociocultural factors. The teacher factors include learning and teaching experience, knowledge, beliefs, and personality traits. The sociocultural factors include cultural and educational norms, curriculum development and administration, teacher education, and professional models with community, This paper then presents detailed interview questions to explore significant influences on the teacher's conceptions of mathematics and its teaching. The interview probes 12 topic areas: (a) early influences on becoming a teacher, (b) the decision to become a teacher, (c) the teacher education years, (d) early mathematics interests, (e) early teaching experiences, (f) career path, (g) influence of peers within the school, (h) influence of administrators, (i) professional development, (j) professional self-development, (k) mathematics teaching, and (i) educational policies.
This research started from the premise that Jacques Perret, "Savoyard gentleman" of the 17th century - whose only legacy consists of Des fortifications et artifices, a book of fortified town designs - is still an elusive figure in the history of architecture and deserves to be further investigated. In particular, attention needs to be paid to the lack of any attempt by scholars to define his actual professional status and cultural background: was he an architect, an engineer, a professional or an amateur? The intention of this paper is therefore to shed some light on this question by examining selected contents of his book describing five projects of fortified towns. Plates and descriptions are carefully analyzed related to the engineering (defensive structures) and architectural (city layouts, buildings) content. The figure that emerges is that of an articulate personality who does not fit either in the architectural or in the military engineering professional world. In the field of engineering, he simultaneously demonstrated the competence of a professional and the na$\ddot{i}$vety of an immature technician, while in the field of architecture he showed an advanced creativity alongside several technical and theoretical misunderstandings. From the analysis in this study, the assumption is formulated that Jacques Perret was a connoisseur, i.e. an erudite without any direct involvement in real professional activity. This work is intended to provide a hypothesis for further researches that, hopefully, will deepen our understanding of several other aspects of Perret's complex identity and work.

The article considers the training, competitiveness of specialists, professional mobility, professionalism and competence of specialists in the context of distance learning. The advantages of distance learning are shown. The characteristic features of distance learning in the preparation of students and in the implementation of these technologies in the educational process of higher educational institutions are determined. Competitiveness, professional mobility, professionalism and competence of a specialist are qualities that determine a person's life and work success. Professional mobility is interpreted as a systemic quality of a specialist's personality, which includes a whole range of knowledge, skills, abilities, personal qualities, value orientations, and so on. The vision of mobility of specialists by foreign scientists is presented. It is noted that the classification of professional mobility presented in the article makes it possible to organize various movements from a single position, to present them as separate manifestations of the general process of professional and pedagogical mobility, to determine which type of mobility ensures the performance of certain social functions. It was found that mobility can be differentiated into differentiated and intergeneration. According to the subject, individual and group mobility are distinguished; according to the direction - internal and external. The classification of employees according to their attitude to mobility is shown, which can be divided into the following groups: actually mobile; potentially mobile; actually stable; potentially stable.
This study was to determine the relationship between nurse DISC personality types, self-efficacy, clinical performance. Data were collected from 302 nurses in 5 hospitals in K city. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient. With regard to self-efficacy and clinical performance, D type showed a higher score than type I type and S type. The lower region of the clinical performance showed the nursing process, nursing skills, higher score than the D Type S Type in professional development. With regard to personality and self-efficacy, and clinical performance, the type D (r=.56, p<.01), I type (r=.66, p<.01), S type (r=.6, p<.01) showed a positive correlation with type C (r=.52, p<.01). As shown by these results, each personality type has a different correlation with self-efficacy and clinical performance ability. This factor should be considered in the assignment of nurses to departments or individual training programs so that they can deliver the most effective job performance.

The purpose of this study is to find out the character types and job satisfaction of the college university librarians by using the Enneagram personality analysis tools. The study of the job satisfaction still remains as a permanent research subject in the actual field because it is directly related with library service. Furthermore, this study intends to develop the desirable professional skills of the librarians through presenting the distinctive characters that can increase the job satisfaction. It will also provide the basic materials for educating the librarians with man-power development program which can also include the distinctive characters.
Objectives : The objective of this study is to investigate the work value factors and the professional attitude factors of dental hygienists and provide basic data for dental hygiene curricula. Methods : A total of 329 dental hygiene students in 4 universities completed the questionnaire which consisted of 15 questions for the work value factors and 10 questions for the professional attitude factors. Correlation between the work value factors and the professional attitude factors was analyzed. Results : The "students with no clinical practice experience (4.34 points)" were seen to be statistically significant (p= .013) in the work value factors, as compared to the "students with clinical practice experience (4.19 points)". In accordance with the grade level (p= .000), conformity in aptitude (p= .022), satisfaction level for the major (p= .000), desired duration of career (p= .009), and presence of recommendation for dental hygiene department (p= .000), the professional attitude factors had statistically significant differences. The higher the scores of the work value factors of dental hygiene students, the higher the scores of the professional attitude factors appeared, there by showing a positive (+) correlation (r= .367). Conclusions : For the cultivation of work value factors and professional attitude factors for dental hygiene students, it is necessary to improve the educational system that reflects the operation of a counseling and mentoring by the utilization of structured personality type testing tools and an improvement of interpersonal relationships.

Purpose: This study was done to investigate the factors affecting organizational commitment and turnover intention of hospital nurses. Empirical analysis on the mediating effect of the person-environment fit of organizational commitment and turnover intention and factors affecting this relationship were also examined. Methods: Participants were nurses working in 4 university hospitals in Seoul or Busan. Data were collected between July 27 and Aug. 10, 2012 and for the final analysis, 393 data sets were used. The fitness of models were tested using AMOS 19.0. Results: The fitness of the modified model showed high compatibility with the empirical data. In the modified model, organizational climate, professional self-concepts and person-organization fit were found to have significant effects on hospital nurses' organizational commitment. Professional self-concepts, personality, person-organization fit and person-job fit significantly affected hospital nurses' turnover intention. There was the mediating effect of person-organization fit between organizational commitment and turnover intention and factors affecting the relationship. But person-job fit was not found to have a mediating effect. Organizational commitment accounted for 49.8% and turnover intention for 39.9% of covariance in these factors. Conclusion: Nursing strategy for enhancing professional self-concepts and person-organizational fit should be planned by nursing managers.
